Terrible place no parking. I know the staff are trying their best but they didnt have enough people to maintain the cleanliness of their trucks. They gave me an old truck that had a unpleasant smell.

JANET SEverything worked out very well from start to finish. Thank you. 10/10 I will do this again. A really great experience. One thing I would change, however. On my U-HAUL Equipment Contract printout that I received when I rented the equipment, under the 'Drop-Off Equipment At' section, it says, "Call (xxx) xxx-xxxx when you arrive in SACRAMENTO CA". I did that. I was greeted with phone menu hell, never able to find an option to let them know that I was about to drop off my equipment. Ultimately, it didn't matter, because the people there when I pulled up were fantastic to work with. Absolutely no complaints at all. But there is a bit of a disconnect between the prompt on the equipment contract and what happens when you follow that prompt.

Elvin Mmy reservation was changed last minute without my knowledge or consent; i arrived here and was told i was now to drop in West Sac. i chose this location specifically for the convenience and do not know what messed up in the system that said i was to drop on the other side of town. thankfully, these guys figured it out and were super friendly. would use again.
MEAGAN PYour uhaul was given to me with the gas below half and I cleaned it out before I returned it I even wiped down the driver and passenger area I'm a auto detailer. And now I haven't gotten my deposit back and you guys are trying to charge me more money

DORIS CFirst time to this facility. Staff were helpful and greeted me upon arrival. The only issue was that once I checked in they handed me the keys, they didn't walk me outside, they just pointed from behind the counter and said go left and to the back side of the building and look for your truck, it is somewhere out there. They then said once I found it, to pull the truck up to get my 24 furniture pads. The were not pre-loaded in the truck as I experienced on prior rentals in Poway, CA and other facilities over the years.. Once I found the truck, and I pulled up to the front, no staff were present. I went back into the store and they were all sitting behind the counter and said for me to pull the furniture pads from the loaded rack out front and load into the truck myself. This is not what I would say is customer friendly service!!...Very disappointing. This practice at this location should change. I am spending plenty for a rental. The least they could do is load the truck with the pre-ordered furniture pads. I placed the order well in advance and checked-in with all the identifying documentation required for the rental. I see no reason why they couldn't have done this. There were 3 staff members present when I arrived. And there were no other customers at this location and so no justification for this behavior as it is not what I would expect as customer service. They were certainly not busy with other customers and the phones were not ringing off the hook and so no excuse. I question if this practice is compliant with U-Haul corporate policies and practices for their facilities.
John J9 times out of 10, when i rent a cargo van, I show up and no vans are available and must drive a larger vehicle. This bate and switch is too regular for it to be a mistake. Besides the staff being great, and the trucks being well maintained, not being able to rely on your reservation makes U-Haul my last choice for rentals
JERMMEL GCustomer service at this location was good, every person I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The problems I had with my experience was the equipment. I got my rental and it was supposed to have 1/4th tank of gas and when I got in the truck it was empty, said 0 miles until empty. It had a urgent message pop up that told me to check the gas cap. When I looked the gas cap was off, someone syphoned the gas. I had to go back inside, go through the registration again, put down another deposit, and get keys to another truck. The second truck was supposed to be at a 1/4th tank as well but as soon as I started the truck it said I had 17 miles until empty. I put $15 of gas in thinking it would at least get me to my first location, when I turned the truck back on after putting gas in it said I now have 15 miles until empty. During my short move put another $25 of gas in and got it back to uhaul location with the gauge saying it was almost empty; my total milage with the truck was less then 25 miles total.

ANTHONY CCheck the back of your trucks daily since you live next to a homeless shelter and are aware that they sleep in the back or put locks on your trucks until people pick them up
