Made a reservation for a van and when I got there they had no vans, no pick up trucks and only one box truck. When I checked out the truck instead, they made a second, new reservation for two days instead of one day. So after returning the truck the same day I picked it up, I was getting phone calls asking where their truck was and had to straighten it out. A messy experience, similar to ones I've had in the past with UHaul

The staff was very thorough and I was helped by a brand new employee that was incredibly sweet. I needed the truck for more time than I originally thought and they made accommodations for me and my family at a reasonable extra cost. Keep up the good work!

The person that helped me was professional, fast, and explained everything. Clearly stepped me through the process. I worked at Nordstrom for years and his customer service skill are on par with the way we were trained. This Uhaul location has irresponsible and straight-up dangerous business practices. Here is the story: After waiting over 45 min to finally get my moving van (this was WITH a reservation), I was told that all the vehicles were low on gas because someone keeps siphoning and stealing the gas each night, so I will need to fill up right away. This is irritating, but I understand. The employee tells me where the closest gas station is. I mapped it and it's super close - about 600 feet away (the Valero on Broadway next to the freeway). No problem right? I get in, start up the van and the pull out of the parking lot. I only drive about 400 feet and this van runs out of gas underneath the overpass. I can see the Valero station from across the intersection. I'm obviously pissed. I'm stuck in the middle of the street on Broadway. I can't push it by myself. I start to call Uhaul, and luckily some young kid (maybe 17?) runs out and asks if I want some help pushing. I do. We push the van into the gas station. This kid restored my faith in people. I thank him and he just smiles, nods, and takes off. So when I drop the van back off, the General Manager is steadfast in blaming me for running out of gas and refuses to comp me any part of the bill (aside from the gas I already put in). I will be telling my contemporaries, buyer beware - this location will leave you stranded and blame you for it.

We were given a truck that had the gas line cut prior to our arrival! When we went to add gas on the way out of town, it poured straight onto the ground. The line had been completely severed. We were stunned because during check out we had pointed out the gas cap was missing. The employee said he'd get us a replacement, then literally looked under the truck and told us everything was fine!! We have a photo of the cut line and it's hard to believe he could have missed it! Adding insult to injury, when we called UHaul to report it they advised us to try to drive the truck back to them, otherwise we'd have to wait for their roadside service. So we opted to do that despite our misgivings. Also, we'd just spent a lot of money via MovingHelp having two guys load the truck, so we asked if UHaul would move the goods into the new truck for us or at least reimburse us for the expense. They refused! Luckily we had the phone number of the mover, and they were able to meet us at UHaul to make the switch, but it wasn't free…we ended up paying twice. Not to mention the hazard posed by driving around town with an open gas line, and gas spilling on the ground when we tried to refill it. My niece suspects the employees were on drugs because what else could explain it? In contrast, the service was pleasant and uneventful when we dropped the truck off at the UHaul on Jacob Ave. in Eureka. When we received the replacement truck in Sacramento there had only been around a quarter tank of gas in it. We returned it with a half talk. The Eureka employee told us we'd be reimbursed for the difference. We shall see.

I called to make my reservation and the vehicle was available when I arrived. Check-out and check-in was fast and efficient for me once I had all the information that was needed. The truck I rented was clean and I had no issues with it. The only thing I can think of for improvement would be for an agent to do a walk around with the customer during the check-out process. They have an app for that used for that now, but sometimes doing this with an agent is a more personable experience. Overall this was a very good rental for me.

Hire competent people. I had the misfortune of encountering Ashley at the counter. Her attitude was unprofessional & she was super rude & incompetent. Pretty ghetto tbh. Not someone that should be behind a counter providing cust serv to anyone. She was unwilling to assist in the rental check out. Insisted on self check in. Once that was done, the instructions showed to walk up to the counter & show the confirmation. She ignored my bf & I. I finally said something &'she rudely responded. When I explained that the instructions showed to walk up to the counter, she said she wouldn't rent to me. I asked why, she claimed I was rude. I told her I'd be calling cust serv & asked her name. she rudely responded with offering the manager outside. After talking to him, he went inside & came out to ask if I had used profanity, cause she said I had. It was a blatant lie. Another customer vouched for me & explained my bf & I had been super patient. Not until then did the manager release the keys. Just a difficult and unnecessary experience with a lazy, incompetent, and rude person who shouldn't be employed as a customer service rep. Or anywhere for that matter.

Ashley was rude and super incompetent. She was on a call discussing her work hrs when my bf walked in. She completely ignored him. When she finally decided to get off the phone, she told him to self check-in, which he did. Once that was done, the last screen showed to walk back in & approach the counter to request the keys. He walked back in & had taken a while, so I walked in to see what the hold up was. He told me she was ignoring him. I told him to just walk up as it stated in the self check in to do. She then rudely stated she was busy helping someone else. I reiterated what the instructions showed & asked if the other person behind the counter could help, to which she replied “she's not an employee” in a condescending & rude tone. By then, I commented on how rude she was being, to which she replied she wouldn't rent to us. I asked her name, and she yelled it out & stated I could go speak to the manager, which I did. He was outside, he walked in & came back out & asked if we had cursed at her cause she said we had. It was a bold face lie. Another customer actually told the manager that we were being patient & hadn't used profanity. To which he offered the keys. Once again, she was rude, incompetent & shouldn't be working in customer service representing an organization with her disgusting attitude.

One of the worst experiences I've had. The associated who booked me in was either having the worst day if her life or just hates her job sooooo much. They just expected nebri wander around the lot until I could find the little number. The after hours return process was explained to me as just read this tiny print. This resulted in an extra hour in the lot trying to figure out this unclear and contradictory process. Then my reservation, order number, trip to hell couldn't be found. I finally called the 800 help line the initial reservation taker even screwed that up. The 800 number help line guy was great

When I rented a truck the gas gauge red a quarter of a tank below empty which was very confusing when I first ran of the van. Attended told me I would receive a $25 credit if I were to fill the gas tank up to a quarter of a tank verbally when I first rented it out. Come to find out after I put $25 in the tank it came up to the gauge gas cage came up to empty mark. When I want to check the van and today I explain it to the manager she did not care and then she indicated that the gas must've been safe and out of my tank which was made up story and Lorelai speculation. I'll never go to that location again and the manager should be fired. Last Saturday when I took possession of it the manager was 45 minutes late on top of what just happened already if you can believe it you can't make this shit up.
