I made reservations 2wks in advance. Arrived at 7:10 the representative was alone and I told the representative that I had reservations no matter I had to used my phone to register. My phone did not have enough space to take my picture. I must used my phone,it's not my 1st time renting a truck from Uhaul.The other location was different, (look her take my picture)and that was it. This location not ready for prime time. He was great, but he had to do everything because his help no were. I left at 9:06 My time doesn't care. I got to my location and I got to the building were I was moving into a I had made appointment for 8:30 I didn't expect to waist more than 1:40 just to pick up a truck. Bad experience. The round trip only took 7 MI. I was charge 15 insurance, and I was nickel and dime me for 7 MI and a few unnecessary over charges. Gasoline I put more gasoline than the truck came with you accept that,but if I would have drop the truck with less gas you would have charge me doble. I feel that I was taken for a !!!!!. I was not happy believe me. $1.25 for this, 1$ for that 5 for this other. And the truck had more service warnings, good I was just going 7 Mi. For improvement how about don't make me spend my time making a reservation and the day I show up you make me go throughout all that time. What about my time. The transmission didn't change until I got to my sister's home to move her. A got working equipment would have been nice. Like I said this is not the first time I rent a truck from your Co.

Stephanie was great and patient with everyone. Poor girl was getting bombarded with the same questions over and over again by people with horrible attitudes who just refused to receive direction. My check in was quick, was done in maybe 5-6mins. I think uhaul should consider sending a notification to the customers prior to picking up their truck of what their process is going to be. Maybe that will cut the attitudes towards your agents. Truck was clean (cleaner than hillside nj) no complaints

Truck made noises as l drove. Wear and tear l guess. Customer service young lady can use a better, welcoming touch up. Guess she was bored, and perhaps don't like working there. I needed assistance with downloading the information, to get the truck of which it seemed to kinda of annoy her. I kept thanking her as l needed her, and complimented her, inspite of moods. If uhaul isn't providing a caring environment, then certainly we as customers will feel the blunt. Dr. E

Hello my name is . I am a very frequent customer with Uhual @ the East Orange Location. I rarely leave reviews, but this employee I met Tanashia at U-Haul absolutely deserves recognition and a promotion for the level of service they provide. She went far beyond what’s expected, making sure every part of my rental experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Her communication was excellent, she handled everything quickly and efficiently, and they treated me with genuine respect and patience the entire time. What stood out most was her ability to stay calm, organized, and helpful while still making me feel like a valued customer instead of just another transaction. Tanashia’s this kind of work ethic, leadership, and customer service mindset are hard to find. She represents the company in the best possible way and truly set the standard for how customers should be treated. U-Haul needs more employees like this. I sincerely hope management recognizes her dedication because she has leadership qualities written all over her and she absolutely deserves consideration for a promotion or employee recognition. Outstanding experience from start to finish. 10/10!!!!

The manager has negative energy and she doesn’t make you feel welcomed! The assistant Janay’s was great at her job and the 2 guys that clean the vehicles very respectful! But that manager, very very bad vibes

The site was very slow in processing. I and others, had to refresh the site quite a few times. When it asked for an emergency contact, going to look it up reset almost the entire process and it was slow getting it back started. The employee was professional in her patients, understanding and help.

You should have to go online upload your front and back license only to repeat the same thing when you pick up. Also, to long having customers login and wait for customer approval to validate your number. This is 2026 and we shouldn’t have to be verity using this antiquated method. Nevertheless, Your in store representative Tanisha (sorry for the misspelling) was amazing & has great customer support insight.

The representative Tanajah Harris was very professional. She provided excellent customer service and was able to assist multiple people at once. She assisted everyone in a timely fashion, was very helpful, and patient. Had a great experience at this location. Customer service is phenomenal.
