I have used this location for years! By far the best Uhaul location in South Central Pa. I live in York County but always use this location. Rentals are always clean, available and ready for me. Even when I have a last minute change. Staff is accommodating friendly. Feels like home. Frankly, no other location in York or Adams County is run as well. Never have a problem and supplies are always in stock. Call ahead and order, and your supplies will be there at time of your rental. Allan J

We were originally supposed to drop off the trailer in McCloud, OK, but the location never opened, didn't return our call, etc. We were able or call another Uhaul store that changed our drop off location. The McCloud location is a bust.

Pro's- Like the on line reservation, making check in easy, with just a copy of the drivers license, answer a few questions, and sign the screen, and was on my way. Return was a breeze, pulled in to the return lane. Young man came out, unhooked the trailer, and I was on my way. Con - Rented an open cargo trailer. No issue with the trailer. However, we had almost a foot of snow 4 days before. I had to shovel the snow off the trailer when I got home, before I would even load anything. When I picked up the trailer, the guy who hooked it up, never said a word about why the trailer bed was still covered in snow. I let it go, just to see his perspective on good customer service. Just sayin'.

The employees do not wear masks. That is unacceptable. He got in the truck and moved it with no mask and no wiping things down once he got out. What the hell? I am moving to a different carrier for my next rental.

U-Haul of Gettysburg did a super job of getting my equipment connected and getting me out in just a very few minutes. Don't know whether it was just lucky timing or what, but I arrived around 4:00pm and was on the road less than 15 minutes later! Great location, easy to get in and out with plenty of room to maneuver. Thanks!

Were given conflicting information as to how soon to reserve a truck. No knowledge on use of EZ Pass transponders on UHaul trucks. Our email address was incorrect (although it was spelled out 3 times) so a contract was not received. Truck was clean, but gas tank was half empty and no personal instruction given regarding truck. (Store opened 45 minutes late as employee's car broke down on the way to work and another employee on her day off had to be called in.) Incorrect information given in regards to getting credit for returned boxes. Quite often when the Gettysburg store was called, the call ended up being transferred to your 800 customer service department. Fortunately one of our final calls was answered by Yvonne Davis who was able to finally help us in regards to our refund for unused boxes. Truck was to be returned to Alma, MI but store was closed due to owner's back surgery. It would have been more professional if the owner had notified UHaul of the temporary closure so the information could have been passed on to us before we got there. We had inadequate directions to find the UHaul in Mt. Pleasant. All in all, not a pleasant experience until we dealt with Shaun Cromar, general manager in Mt. Pleasant at the Parkway Dr. store.

When we got there, there was confusion on if an employee was going to come out. Then the employee charged us for the gas when we had filled it to the level we picked it up at. He admitted that our document matched the gas level that we returned it at, but his system said something different. He couldn't undo it without a manager, which he didn't even know the hours that the manager worked. Wouldn't come here again.

My reservation was messed up. I got there and the trailer i had reserved was already gone. There was a walk in and my trailer was given to that person. I also got a confirmation of payment for my rental with my old address which I updated prior. I also got a confirmation for another rental with my new address and a different persons name and credit card #. So someplace there is a error. I had to use a different kind of trailer less the ramp that I wanted. I made it work.

It was not a good experience. I put in an order for Friday, oct 16th. The 24/7 wasn't working...at first I was told it was because someone had totaled the 15ft truck I had ordered. Then after waiting and trying for an hour- I was told actually it was because the whole system was down...and U-Haul can't do paper rentals. I asked about the $50 guarantee...and was told it didn't apply. The person working at 3:30pm...was unprofessional, talked about when he quits, hung up after talking with someone and called her a bitch (I kept silent and waited patiently). I then had to rearrange everything for Sunday- make another trip to Gettysburg for the U-Haul...and the person who worked Saturday didn't set up my 24/7. So I still had to go in, and wait for the employees (Sunday employees were excellent by the way) to put in my blankets and dollys and find a truck and key). As of right now- I can't imagine going back there unless things change for the better.

I booked u hual in my location and the day i go to pick up they told me they don't have any u hual in my location and i called coustumer service they told me to get that from 55 miles far in other location. so i had to go all way that far to get u hual. and after that some stupid employee after drop up they charge me around $4000 on my credit card and i had to call them back and they told me that was there mistake . so i will never ever prefer u hual.

The truck cab did not look like it had been cleaned, let alone sanitized, in quite awhile. I think under these conditions the cab should be cleaned and sanitized between uses.

The vehicle I rented for a 1-way move had a consistent pull to the right and obviously needed a front end alignment. Better maintenance of the U-Haul fleet would prevent this issue in the future and is NOT indicative of the Gettysburg location.

Signs posted to stay with vehicle, but office was so busy, it was better to park the vehicle and go into office. Staff/Owner was great! He could acknowledge arriving customers and phone calls while attending to current customer. It worked out very well!

I made a change to my already last minute reservation and the associate did great processing the changes. He warned me ahead of time the van was a little dirty as someone had literally just returned it. I appreciated the warning but it wasn't bad at all. He talked me through the return process as I was returning it after hours. I thought he did well and I appreciated his help.

The only issue I have is when removing my furniture, we noticed mice droppings on the sheets covering some of the furniture. Traps might be needed for all your units, or is that the renters responsibility ?

There was some water laying inside the left front corner of the storage unit when the door was opened, but it was cleaned up quickly and I was provided with a large tarp to cover my furniture.
