The fuel level practices are not customer friendly. It is always very difficult to gauge and results in customers over paying their fuel usage. It would be customer friendlier to have the equipment issued to the customers with a full tank and let customers decide whether they are returning it full or have U-Haul service it.Andreas I.

Front tire low tread on outside. Alignment? Brakes seemed a bit mushy and parking brake went full travel. Found some rocks to chock the wheels while loading. Windshield inside was very dirty. Informed that a reservation for moving pads is only a request. There is no guarantee. They had no moving pads or that is what they said when I picked up... Signed up for load assistance on a separate contract. The sub-contractor cancelled leaving hours to find other help. I could not find anyone to help. If there is a next time, I will NOT trust u-Haul. Check in process went smoothly. I have always had a very good experience with your company. This time was miserable moving adventure!William M.

The truck did not run well, the oil light was on, I stopped at the Manteca location to add oil, they added 3 quarts, it took 50 minutes because they did not have oil and sent an associate to Walmart firing Christmas week rather than a gas station that is 2 doors down.Paul W.

i picked up the Van 2:30 and returned 6 Pm 3.5 hours and i drove 69 Miles the Uhaul charged me 800$ i was sapose to pay 110$ i called the customer service still i have not refunded. We rented the 26 foot moving truck, no gas, no Dolly to move heavy things, check engine was on. And we had to drive the truck all the back to the location because we couldn't do a one way rental. Would have been very easy on us since there was a U- Haul right next to our new house. Overall pretty bad experience.Aqeel A.
Hi, I was supposed to pick up truck on sunday@ 7 pm but when I showed up, there were no 24/7 truck to pick up! I contacted customer service and they asked me to go to different location in San leandro where another truch is available and i went there as well though there were not any available truck in that location either. I spent more than two hours out of my holiday time because of the bug in your system for not showing accurate date for available trucks. Customer service told me they will put a note for manager at hayward to refund me the fee . However, manager was not at U-haul office neither at the pick up time nor drop off time in evening. The staff said he cannot helped me and only manager can apply the refund . It was pretty messy and difficult and wastimg too much so hopefully manager can contact me to get refund as promised.
