The truck was a 26' truck. We left the facility with our paperwork saying there was 1/4 tank of gas. As soon as we pulled off the lot the truck was on empty. I called immediately and was told to take a picture with time and date. That was fine however, while driving the truck the alignment was completely off. We were pulled over by the CHP who told us to that the truck was not safe to drive. We were on highway 880 where there was no place to pull over. I wanted to return it to a uhaul close to where we were. I called and. Was connected to someone at a center who told me that I was not allowed to return it to a local uhaul but I had to call for roadside service. That would have taken hours I tried to explain where we were and she hung up on me. We drove it back to where we rented from very slowly with people honking at us the entire time. It took us 3.5 hours to drive home. I cannot believe the lack of customer service and rude attitude of whoever I was connected to through your customer service department. My family owns a large construction company and uses your company as well as refers many customers to you. I am an attorney and will see to it that we will NEVER use your company again. This in no way reflects the service we received at the Jackson St., in Haywards customer service. They were very helpful. It was your customer service I was connected to through your website. If someone in my family was hurt as a result of the alignment of that truck I would have sued your company with a vengeance. You need to be sure your trucks are safety inspected regularly. You should also train your customer service employees to be more empathetic to your customers instead of treating them like idiots. I am highly educated as is my entire family and was highly insulted and offfended.

Returned my truck and there was about 5 people in line. Black guy with long hair helped one person that he seemed to know and went back to moving inventory around on the sales floor. Felt like he only cared about doing the bare minimum for his paycheck, not the customers, their time or impression of the store. I would expect them to deal with the customers first, not moving boxes around when theirs 5 people in line at an otherwise low-customer-traffic location. I'm sure everyone waiting was just as annoyed.

Self service check in took 30 minutes. Need to take pictures if driver license, face and then any damages not already recorded. Way more damage to truck than marked. Then the milage and gas levels were not right. Seems someone didn't check it in accurately. Then self serve key was not available, had to go back in and wait for them to locate key. Check in, not as long but still painful. I've used uhaul several times, this was worst and frustrating experience at this location.

This place did not have an upright dolly available (even though I booked weeks in advance), and the furniture dolly provided had bad casters (I had to have it swapped out when I arrived in AZ). Service was otherwise fine.

The wait times for checking out the equipment was super long, it took about 35 mins standing in line to be seen. Not sure if it was a scheduled break time, but it was annoying. When I was seen, the clerk was very nice and which helped make up for the wait time.

I enrolled in the My U-Haul, spent at least 20 minutes filling in all of the requested information in order to cut down on the time to check out the trailer I was renting. It was a waste of my time, I had to give the same info to the lady at the desk in order to pick up my trailer!

We were charged for the whole month even though we were out of the unit on the 5th of the month. We were told that there was a chnage in policy of not pro rating anymore. We were not informed of the change otherwise we would have stayed and not rushed and atressed about the move and clearing of the unit. This is a total rip off- now Public Storage can double- dip into becuaae we were charged for the whole month and then they can rent out the unit now! All good will i have towards your company went down thw drain! Never again will i use your service mor will i recommend you. And i will keep repeating this bad experience to whoever listens.
