Salvador RI’ve had consistently great experiences at the U-Haul location on Jackson Street in Hayward, and I felt it was time to recognize the team there. LaRon always stands out with his excellent customer service. He’s friendly, personable, and genuinely makes you feel valued as a customer. He takes the time to ask how your drive went and checks in about your overall experience, which goes a long way. On one occasion when I had an issue, he handled it quickly and professionally without any hassle. That said, the entire team deserves recognition. There are two other staff members whose names I unfortunately don’t recall, but they are just as helpful, efficient, and professional. Every time I come in, they make sure my rental truck is clean, ready, and the process is smooth from start to finish. It’s rare to find a location where the service is this consistent across the board. This team clearly takes pride in what they do, and it shows. Lynette cThe truck I was given turned out to have many issues. Right front light was out and I could not drive at night. The windshield was cracked. A warning light kept coming on saying my right front tire was low (but it seemed fine). The gas tank had less than a half a tank when I picked it up. I was give some compensation in the form of $ off on my final bill.
Kathy WLarwen went above and beyond in helping me with the rental. U haul should give him a raise. All the guys at the hayward location and most of all Larwen really helped me at a pinch. I will highly recommend the U haul of hayward.

HOPE MTrailer not clean at pickup. Still needed it due to time. Only one staff at morning drop off. Ended up detaching trailer myself and did mobile check out process. Trucks are trailers all over at drop off

arturo mI was able to complete my drop off through the app. They were very busy as soon as they opened but the African American guy was still able to answer my question while helping another customer. I didn’t have to wait in the long line and when I was done he was able to acknowledge me, take my key and I was out of there very quickly.

George PThe customer service was great, the truck however was really rough (bumpy). Don’t know if the truck has a shock issue or tires were unbalanced, it was just a really rough ride. For those who have a back issue, please beware.
DARREL SI was overcharged when I returned my truck to **U-Haul** in Hayward on Jackson Street. My drop-off time was 7:00 AM. I arrived at 6:50 AM and went inside, but the clerk said they open at 7:00 AM, so I waited outside. Around 6:55 AM, he came out and told me he would charge an extra $20 for an after-hours drop-off. I told him it was only a few minutes early and that I could just wait until 7:00 AM to return it. We had a disagreement, and he seemed upset for no reason, like he just wanted to charge more. I rented the truck for 3 days and already paid $150 in advance. I only drove 100 miles, but I was charged an extra $199. I feel like I was overcharged. I didn’t argue more because I was very tired from moving and just wanted to go home. I hope they review my bill and refund the extra charges. The customer service was disappointing.
