Location did not open until twenty two minutes after the posted time of 7AM. While waiting I called Uhaul and had to hold and talk to two different individuals neither of whom apologized for the inconvenience I experienced. Despite being New Year's Eve when I picked up the employees were helpful and polite- when I mentioned I was sorry that they were stuck working they reassured me that they were ok bc location was closing at 7Tamera S.
When I drove the truck home on the first night, it was given to me with the passenger door not closed all the way so when I turned out of the lot the door came open. Additionally, the truck which I rented was absolutely dangerous to drive, the steering box is not in good condition which made it almost impossible to keep in between the lines while driving on the highway. And finally, the truck had absolutely zero windshield washer fluid in it which is absolutely unacceptable in Western New York in the middle of winter. While driving on the highway, it was nearly impossible to see through the windscreen, which combined with the poor condition of the steering box made this truck a death trap.Daniel V.
I did not fit in the smallest box truck as I am well over 6'. However your staff made sure I got the next size up for no extra cost. It would be handy if you stated on your rental site that it doesn't fit tall people. The van I rented hadn't been cleaned much from the previous customer. Papers from the previous rental were still inside, and pine needles (presumably from a Christmas tree) covered the cargo area. Mobile pickup experience was not good. The app kept saying session expired and I was luckily able to just go inside and speak to real person. Lastly I wish that the pre trip inspection was done on paper I didn't get the text to the link until I arrived at my loading location. By that point that link said it had expired. The vehicle I got was old and not well maintained, even though there were at least 8 other similar vehicles available. A service light on the dash went off within 15 minutes (I was nearly 20 miles away at that point -- too far to practically return). Cab smelled like old urine, with dirt everywhere (ironically, I was told to dump my trash -- one plastic cup and a napkin upon dropoff). The young men who helped me were courteous enough -- no criticism there. Overall, I would recommend this location, primarily because of its size and location.Michael H.

Pick-up took about 45 minutes, due to waiting in line when I had already done a pre-check-in. There was only one person working so he had to take people one at a time and there was no option for those of us who had done our check-in to go to a faster moving line. The van was mostly clean but there were some food crumbs in one of the front cubbies so it was clear that it had not been checked. About 150 miles into my drive, the Change Engine Oil Soon light came on and persisted so I could not see my mileage. I called to ask if U-Haul wanted to address this before I drove another 350 miles on the van as is, and I was on hold for an hour before someone told me they didn't care about that and to just ignore it. Thankfully, that full hour of waiting did not stop me from proceeding with my plans for more than about 20 mintues. On returning the van after hours, it was next to impossible to document my mileage because again, the Change Engine Oil Soon light overwrote the mileage display on the dashboard. In addition, instructions for return of the vehicle were not apparent and the location of the key box was not at all obvious. I wasted a great deal of time because of all this. At the end of a very long hard day, and let's face it, anyone who is returning a U-Haul after hours has had a long hard day, this was intolerable. All that said, it was a smooth ride, "oil-change" notwithstanding and I was surprisingly comfortable driving the "larger than I am used to" vehicle. I suggest that new customers picking up a van should be told that the lights were set to automatic. I also wasted some time, while driving, trying to figure out how the heck to turn on lights that were already set to come on when necessary.JENNIFER H.

I did not have a problem with staff at either location. I did have issues with my reservation and lack of trailer that I reserved. I received a call 24 hours before I was to pick up a trailer to be told that they did not have one unless I wanted to drive farther to get one. I placed a reservation online, and added a utility dolly to help with moving. I go to pick up the Uhaul and the young man who was behind the counter on 10/16/2020, confirmed my reservation and the utility dolly. Not only did I have to go around back and find my own uhaul, I get to my apartment and open up the back to find that there was no dolly. I've used this same uhaul location for years and never had an issue until now and I will not return to this location.Linsey G.

Had a reservation set for 7:00. No employee showed up until 8:30. We sat in the parking lot for 1.5 hours. When the manager finally did show up to open the place he didn't offer an apology, discount for our time or anything. Once the truck got pulled around for us it was in horrible shape, gas tank on 1/4, severe damage to both sides, one of the clearance lights was broken off, and the brakes barely worked. This truck probably wasn't even road worthy. When I brought these concerns to the manager he looked at me said this is all I got take it or leave it. There was an almost new truck of the same size sitting in the lot as well. Very disappointed with the service and definitely will not be coming back. I understand things happen but at least be professional about it.John W.
The trailer that I rented was a 6x12 when I drove the trailer home I discovered that the gate was only 4 feet wide and not 6feet wide like it should have been. I could not use the trailer for what I needed it for. I needed a trailer that was 6feet wide which is what I got but having the gate only 4 feet wide I could not load and unload my brand new UTV.Robert D.
The van was totally disgusting and smelled like cigarette smoke. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in months, the worst I've ever seen. I asked the attendant if I could switch to a more clean van and he informed me, the other van was down for mechanical reasons and he would clean the van for me. All he did was clean the floor mats and brush the seat off a little bit. The rest of the passenger area area of the van was still very dirty.
