They lied on the amount of gas that was in the tank. If you don't bring it back to the amount of gas they say it was at they charge you an outrageous fee. Plus they have recommended movers. of which I hired and they didn't show when they were supposed to so I rented the van for nothing . $40 down the drain and uhaul takes no responsibility.Michael T.

I was billed for gas. I put more gas in then when i picked up the vehicle. I have video proof. I mentioned this when i turned in the vehicle after hours. I was told i would receive a call. I didn't. But i was billed anyway.Vincent P.

I had an issues with my driver and needed to extend my rental. The staff at Hollywood Uhaul were amazing. Very patient with me and helped move around their scheduling to accommodate my needs as well as the needs of the customer that was supposed to use the truck after me. Customer service at this place is terrible. The woman at the front just yells at people and is not clear with information. She will tell you to step outside and be met with Marco, you do an no one shows up. She then yells when you try to get clear information. I have used UHaul many times before. Your Customer service went to hell. This was the third location of the day with people not being helpful. Also they added blanket pads to my order that I didn't ask for. I will avoid uHaul as much as possible. It's not worth the headache. I just happened to be desperate that day.Dorinda M.
I had paid for 20 miles, and only used 18 miles, but was then charged an extra fee for an additional two miles when I had already talked to the customer service agent about it. It's a new process but the mobile checkout worked well for the most part. I think more clarity about how or when to pick up any additional equipment ordered would be helpful. For example if you ordered a dolly, is that already in the van or is that something you ask for when you get your key? It was also difficult to do a full inspection of the van because all of them were parked close together. So either a side or the back was hard to get a good look at prior to driving off the lot.Rachel C.

My U haul that I reserved was not available at the initial location on Highland ave even though it was promised a "guaranteed reservation or 50$" i moved from location to location around town to find an available truck but i kept running into stores that closed at the exact time I booked my truck. Finally, this location had a different, but working u-haul available. However, I'd like to take you up on the 50$ since it wasn't guarenteed after all. Thank you.SARINA B.

While sitting in the parking lot trying to check in using the uhaul webpage i incurred another days rental because the webpage would not let me proceed with the return because it couldn't see my location . I had turned location settings to â€œonâ€ with mu phone but still nothing . If i hadn't been blocking the return lane I don't think the â€œ serviceâ€ technician would ever have cone over and helped me out . Also the insurance was listed at 14.99 but i was charged $25 for it and also charged for the non exidtsmt4 th dayJEFFREY F.

The original reservation was at a 6th St. Location for a van, hand cart and blankets. When I cancelled the van but needed the cart and blankets she changed the reservation but when I got to the 6 th St. Lactation he said blankets and hand carts belong to that location and equipment and sent me to Hollywood location. Website did not work for returning the van after hours, 5 min after the store was closed. Tried knocking on the door to let them know but they wouldn't come talk to me. Was charged 20 extra for no reason except that the app didn't work to mark my location. Had to play phone tag with three different people to try to correct it today and even then they called me back and left a message with a phone number to the general company line and I couldn't reach them again. Enjoy your 20 bucks, hope you can buy yourselves something nice.IGNAT P.

I found *two* roaches in the truck. I was able to kill one of them but the other fled into the cracks and I had to spend the entire day on edge that I was going to end up with roaches in my things and my new place!! ugh!! disgusting and really unacceptable.Lauren S.

I have been happy with the quality of the vehicles I've rented and the employees has been very accommodating and helpful. The reason I put 3 stars instead of 5, is because they are requiring a picture of your ID and face(which they take on their personal cell phone), also now they are requiring a phone number of a friend or relative, as well as that persons full name, and then they also call that person to verify all the information. It's creepy and non of their business, and besides that anyone can lie about it, if they choose to do so. I've been a costumer of uhaul for over 5 yrs, and I find it rude and disturbing to be asked for personal info(which isn't helping them anyway), and for a pic of my face and ID taken on their cell. I would like for their to be no pictures of at least my face and no verification of friends or family's number and nameHEMDAH C.
It was my first time to picked that location to rental cargo van. New system of how to return a van by online, it confused me and giving me a little bit of stress. But a worker over there, he was very nice and help me to returning to van. Hey, you have no idea how much I needed help that time. I could b stuck over there forever never get back home with out his help! I definitely recommend that place. I have a few bad memories of my experience by sloppy service workers, but NOT that location! His service was excellent, he made one customer happy here I am! Overall, have been telling anyone I get a chance to, not to use UHaul. First, tried one-way, online and two customer service representatives said exact size I want not guaranteed, but something guaranteed. Then a week later, I received a voicemail, then called customer service back - both insisted no guarantee of ANYTHING. Then, we found out roundtrip (pick up and return at same location) is "guaranteed" - said the person on the phone, and the email confirmation, so we went with this. But, when we went to the Hollywood location for pick-up, they said my "guaranteed" trailer was going to Colorado. My friend who was driving had to get firm and harsh, to get them to give us the trailer guaranteed to us. The stress, the false messaging, to the last moment - UHaul as a company I am actively telling anyone I can to not use.Sharif M.

Update what locations have trucks and which don't I drove to two locations because there was an hour wait on the phone. I had to check in person if the first U-Haul location had a truck when i had already been confirmed for one. Many people in line reserved trucks they were unable to use. I was lucky but i shouldn't have had to physically drive around town a day before my reservation to confirmEdmond O.

I made the reservation on line the night before so that I wouldn't have to wait in line and when I picked up the truck. Once I arrived and I checked in on my phone, I was asked for more information that I already provided on my account. I then had to wait in line to pick up the keys. I also requested half a dozen furniture pads and a utility dolly and they weren't in the truck. I called the store as soon as I discovered the items weren't there and waited on hold for 20 minutes. I should've checked before I left the lot for those items. However at the point, I was running late because I wasn't able to pick up the truck without waining in line. The drop off was a lot easier than the pick up. I understand that it was the end of the month and thats when it gets busy. However, maybe a few more staff members on those days would be helpful.Salvador D.

The gentlemen at the location were awesome. Although and please note this that U-Haul number when you call they are very rude and took with me each phone call 30-1 hour just to connect to someone and kept getting transferred to other people. Very irritating.ARTUR M.
When dropping the van off to the closed location, I couldn't get my phones location services to verify I was at the correct u-haul office. It said there would be a $20 charge if I didn't verify. I tried calling customer service but hung up in frustration after waiting 20 minutes. You need to change that system so people don't feel GOUGED for just trying to do something that could be automated and is supposed to be easy.Tim P.

On the truck, the passenger side mirror was broken. But, it was the return process that was the worst. I was told it would be simple and easy and I could return the truck after store hours. The app did not work. I called customer service and was on hold for 30 mins wothout speaking to a representative. I tried the chat person and she told me to come back the next morning so they would charge me an additional $20!JEFFREY H.

The truck we had was unacceptable. We nearly had a wreck due to the fact that the hood wasn't closed when we got the vehicle and it flew up on us on the freeway and we nearly had a wreck. The oil light was on and the vehicle smelled of burning oil. When we turned it in we tried to discuss the issues with the clerk but they said sorry the manager wasn't there and we would need to call and deal with it later. Absolutely the worst service. I expect to be refunded a significant portion if not all of my money. I have photos of the issues. Please advise at soonest.Jared P.
