The pickup truck was not logged into the system by the store manager when it was returned at 1:30 PM on 11/21/22. It was logged back in the next morning at 7:57 AM and I have been overcharged for rental hours. I have not been able to get this resolved with the General Manager.Thomas E.

As far as I could tell, there was only one employee on duty with several trucks in the process of being returned. The man attempted to be helpful telling us he would process the truck later and we could go. I told him both the gas level and the mileage were OK specifically stating there was 1/4 tank of gas. The next day I received an invoice charging me as if there was 1/8 tank of gas!!Nathan B.
The truck would barely start all day, like it had a bad battery or starter. I ordered two packs of furniture pads and only received one. I was moving into a 3rd floor apartment so Inordered an appliance dolly and didn't get one of those either. Pretty disappointingFrancis P.

Make it abundantly clear when renting that if you show up an hour late to the pickup time, your truck will be given away. I almost lost my rental because I showed up just shy of an hour, and the UHaul employee told me if it had been 5 minutes later, they could have given my rental aware. I'm sure it's included in the rental agreement somewhere, but please make that more clear when submitting a reservation. I thought I could show up at any time during the reserved rental period.Jake G.

This is an outstanding facility. The equipment is always clean and the customer service top rate. I never have to wait when picking up the equipment and the return and check in is always quick and simple. With the check in finished I receive a text message receipt. We reserved our uhaul two weeks in advance, when we went to pick it up at our scheduled time it was not ready and we weren't able to get a van until late the next morning. No explanation given, staff was rude and didn't care, our move was made so much worse on account of this. We were also double charged. Horrible experience.Vincent C.

As I was returning a 10' truck, I stopped to put in $25 worth of gas to put it above where I received it. To only get the final bill that the truck was filled a 1/4 of a tank less than I had gotten it. I have no problem accepting when I made a mistake but for the employee to make an 1/8 of a tank misfire is just disrespectful. Key thing is to always remember to take a picture of the gas gauge when you drop it off. It'll save $100.Gregory T.
I walked into the retail location to find 3 employees arguing over payroll issues. I stood at the counter for over 5 minutes before one of them even acknowledged that I was there. I brought the truck back less than 24 hours after renting it, then I received a call 2 days later asking me when I was going to bring the truck back. But not if you have a Chime card. I was not told in advance they didn't accept that card. I came with $1400 on my card and was told they didn't accept the ONLY card I had. After hours of trying to get cash off my card I was able to secure the truck.Lori R.

The van I rented was not clean at all. I have allergies to animal hair and there was clearly hair on the seats that made breathing difficult for me. When I asked about putting air in the back passenger tire because the van dashboard said it needed it, the attendant mansplaned to me that it didn't need air because when the air gets colder the tires go down but it's ok. I had to go somewhere else and put air in the tire myself. The attendant did not go over the van with me before I left the premises and didn't even bother to show me where it was. He handed me the key and told me the number on the key tag would tell me which van was the one to take.VALERIE A.

This trailer had the same problem as ALL of the other trailers that I have rented from U-Haul; the hitch would not tighten enough to be tight on the ball. When I have rented larger trailers, the banging of the hitch on the ball was primarily when on rough pavement; going down the highway, the tongue weight kept the clatter somewhat limited. This rental was very different; the trailer was so light that there was a constant clatter and squeaking. It was the most miserable experience. If I had not been pressed for time, I would have refused the trailer as soon as I hit the highway and the hammering started, but that would have forced me to go to another location because it was the only trailer like it on the lot. When it was returned, the agent verified the problem and said he would submit a report to have it repaired. It would be appreciated if all of the trailers were inspected for this issue. We'll have to see what happens with the next U-Haul rental.James T.

I do not know what goes on at the Ithaca U Haul, but I was charged for two gallons of gasoline. Having done the same trip before in same kind of van 63 miles and three gallons of gas. I put four gallons of gas in the van, minutes before drop off. In the future I will refuse the rent vans that do not have full fuel tanks. Unless U haul vans only get ten miles a gallon highway.Mark A.

Make sure that the whole reservation is assembled to be picked up. I chose mobile pick up, with an appliance dolly-got 45 minutes through traffic to start loading up to see they never put the dolly into the rental, had to drive back down and back to my house again.Shania B.
