Website issues, unable to do an advance check in and not at all comfortable with providing license information on line. The few times I called the 800 number to ask questions, to confirm the pick up and drop off and to make sure the insurance was added,I spent over two 1/2 hours on hold for a total of 4 phone calls, got re routed to the office - who re routed me back to an 800 number, and got re routed back to the office. Uhaul customer service needs to be trained and more accessible. The rep in the Lowell office was very nice and professional.

I was lucky that when I got to U-Haul Lowell, I saw the pick-up that was the perfect vehicle I was looking for and it was available. I don't often see U-Haul pick-up trucks when I go by U-Haul. The pick-up handled beautifully and was perfect for my needs. Thanks.

$70 is pretty steep for a van for less than 2 hours. I could have gotten a truck from Home Depot for half that. The app was very confusing. The van was clean and worked as expected.

The male person behind the counter was having lunch when I arrived and rudely sent me away stating they had no trailers or trucks for rent. When I then called your 800# they told me there were several for rent at this location. I returned and a female person politely processed the rental and hooked up the trailer.

The Uhaul charge has not posted to my credit card yet but when it does I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card provider. I'm refusing to pay. Please look up the activity on my account and my record of having to call not only customer service but also road side assistance. I had to bring the truck back to the pickup location in Lowell before even starting my trip to Maine because service lights were coming on the dashboard. The truck with fully loaded with my entire life in the back at the time. Once the truck was serviced I picked it up a second time, and 1hr into my trip to Maine the truck become nearly undriveable. I have nearly a dozen videos and pictures to document it. Worst still, I had to have a family member drive 6 hours round-trip to maine to pick me up and return me to my home after having to abandon the truck at Uhaul in Rockland Maine. I'm not paying Uhaul a cent, and am considering filing a claim due to the incredible burden place on my brother having to do the 350 mile round trip to bring me home from being stranded in Maine. The experience with an old almost undriveable truck that had two separate incidents in less than 24hrs when I clearly had a reservations to use it for 350miles, during an already awful point in my life going through a divorce and having to move my entire house myself in 24hrs. I had to reschedule several personal commitments on Sunday from being stranded in Maine and waiting to find a way home. Completely unacceptable for UHaul to charge me (if the charge posts to my credit card; it is currently showing as Pending) Please have a customer service MANAGER call me with any questions if UHaul does plan to charge me or contest my payment dispute.

General Manager waited on me and was very disengaged and not very friendly. But the transaction was smooth and painless. Was sent to the incorrect vehicle and as a result lost a purchased item, when left in the wrong vehicle. GM would not compensate or make an adjustment for the lost item based on her mistake sending me to the wrong vehicle.

The seats in the van we rented were covered in dog hair and there was a scent of cigarette smoke. I thought your vehicles were supposed to be smoke free. Also I expected the van to be clean and free of dog hair.

I rented a trailer. The one assigned to me was in less than good condition. It functioned fine but has seen many better days. One fender had a large dent that was inches from the tire, additionally the floor of the trailer was covered in a fine sand.

I was 1 hour late for my reservation and got yelled at in front of other customers for it by staff. I was told I was lucky that he did not rent the truck on me. When I got the truck it had not been cleaned out there was someone else‘s property and other things in the back. Also I returned the truck 8hours early and was charged a penalty for dropping the keys in the return box after hours. The rental was extremely expensive. The whole experience was just awful

I originally booked my rental at another location with mobile pickup. However when i arrived there I realized there was no mobile pickup option. I had to call the generic uhaul number and wait for over 30 minutes to be speak with a rep and be rerouted to this uhaul location. In the end it was sorted but it was a huge waste of my time, if they location doesn't have a lock box for mobile pickup then it shouldn't be an option for me to select.

I have rented a few uhauls before and this was by far the worst one. The 10' box truck I used saw very difficult to start. Every time I turned it off and had to restart it, it was a frustrating process of having to shake the wheel in order to turn the key. Also, the side view mirror was loose. As soon as you started driving it would swing open, making it impossible to use and hard to drive on the highway.

The requirement to take current photos from one's mobile browser is onerous and incredibly frustrating if it does not go smoothly. Your mobile experience is very well made, but should give people "outs" such as allowing people to upload from their camera folder instead of requiring the browser to have permissions to take pictures. I spent over twenty minutes at night on a street with extremely loud noises performing a checkout that I was expecting to take five minutes. When a five minute checkout takes twenty, and you're surprised with being coerced into uploading current photos of not only the mileage and gas meter but also the front and back of the vehicle and the parking location, when you personally feel one's phone's mobile browser should only have access to the camera if you like leaking data and eroding privacy, you get a little annoyed. Luckily the pho restaurant next door was still open at 10PM and hadn't turned off their bubble tea machines yet. Pho Da Lat saves you.

I called the site the night before for a rental and was told there were no 10” trucks available. I immediately went on the app and rented a 10” truck from that location. Also, none of the employees were wearing face coverings which gave the impression that it was ok not to wear a face mask so customers put their face mask down when doing their paperwork. It was a busy morning with a line out the door but the actual renting of the truck was quick considering it being a Saturday morning.

Wonderful and polite staffs. Service was very quick while taking the rental and while returning. It took <5 mins to complete the transaction. I heard the rental vehicles were sanitized. But, it would be better to sanitize few things like doors, seats, steering, dashboards etc.. in front of the customers, if that is possible. Also, if possible we can mandate staffs to wear mask, when talking to customers.

When I got my truck, it had a check engine light on and the women who gave it to me was not concerned with it at all. Upon returning my vehicle after hours, the employees did not have the key drop box locked so I spent an hour searching for anywhere else to leave a key and waiting on hold with roadside assistance to tell em where I should put the key.

Be sure to check your credit card statement. They changed the amount that I authorized and was on my receipt. Called and couldn't get through for 30 minutes. Went online and got through quickly on chat. I understand the mistake they made. But still they changed an transaction without consent. Beware. Representative never really acknowledged that fact. Waiting to hear from management.

I was ripped off by this location. I returned the vehicle after hours so I didn't know my final bill until I reviewed my credit statement. I was charge a cleaning fee that I wasn't aware of. Immediately went to location the day after the rental and disputed the charge with the manager, they were handling a high volume of customers and she told me that she would remove the charge later that morning, she never did!

There was a long line for pick-up (workers were doing their best and working very quickly). It was hard to find a parking spot near the location. I wound up driving 30+ minutes to get a truck from uhaul and this was the closest location with availability. Happy to use the service but wish there had been a closer location.

More accurate websites/clearer directions. My reservation was a mess - I had booked a van for 3 days using the 24/7 option, went to pick up the rental and received a notification that my reservation had expired. I was on hold for 30 minutes before I got through to customer service. Once through I was reviewing available options on the website and was told it was not totally accurate in the turnover time between someone returning and picking up a U-Haul. I had confirmed with the customer service rep that I needed the van until the afternoon the next day, which she confirmed. Upon arrival to pick up I was told the van was only available until the same time the next morning. Whole experience was extremely frustrating.
