Attention U-Haul Headquarters, I've had an account with U-Haul for over 20 years & I'm very disappointed in the headquarters for not finding my account & witch when ordering any other vehicle for my business @ a moment's notice; I'm charged ( FULL PRICE ) & that's not customer service when calling the 1-800 U-Haul Truck reservations for a vehicle for a @ a last moments notice. I've had my local store look up my records & even they can only go back to a certain time frame & I've spent much more money than any other Companies or the general public within the past (20) years & yes I'm very ( UNHAPPY ) & I'm thinking of switching to another Company because of all of the trouble between ( Corporate & the Store it's self for not communication togother effectively & it's a dam shame. The day before my rental I called to move up my reservation from an 8PM pick up to a 6:45 PM pick up. I let the rep know that the truck would not be returned till after midnight on Friday night/Saturday Morning. They confirmed everything was fine. The next day when I arrived I was told my rental needed to be back by 8PM the following day. I completed the rental and came back the next day to speak to someone. I went back the next day to make sure that they knew the rental would not be back at the time they requested and was met with an extremely rude agent behind the counter who told me that I was "fucking over the next customer, but why the fuck would I care". When I explained myself and what had happened he thanked me in a sarcastic tone and told me there was nothing else I could do so I left. As I was leaving I overheard the employee talking it over with another about how the "traffic department" always does things like this and it's why they have so many issues. If this is a common occurrence I'm not sure why nothing has been done to rectify it and why the employee would be so rude and use such foul language to me for something that was not my fault. Not to mention the fact that I came in so that they'd be aware of the issue and have the ability to try and solve it instead of just not returning the rental as I know is usually the case (confirmed by the foul mouthed representative)

Was forced to go to two locations since my vehicle was not available, even though I chose pick-up by phone and reserved days in advance. Then my reservation failed to be transferred to the correct location. Then had to wait for someone to move other vans out of the way to access mine. Took 2 hours to “skip the line and pick up by online.” What a disaster.

This location was clean inside but truck I rented was terrible.All the lights were lite up on the dash and check engine light was on. 0% oil life for a 60 mile rental, was told I would be “just fine”.. truck shook a lot on highway and when brakes were pushed.

The girl that helps us in the morning was very innatented; did not have a clue of was she was doing and we included a dolly in the truck rental, but she forgot to give it to us. If I have to walk in that store again I will make sure to not be attenden by her.

However, drop-off instructions were inadequate at counter when rental was picked up. Wasn’t told that I had to log on to website, etc. & then photos had to be taken of vehicle at night in near freezing conditions! If my son-in-law hadn’t been the driver I never would have been able to do all that after an exhausting day of moving! Should try to simplify that aspect!

My experience with UHaul started off very negatively. I booked for a more convenient location to pick up. When I arrived I was told that there wasn't a truck ( though there were three in the lot). Whoever handles that location apparently rents from another company? And the UHaul staff were on vacation? I called UHaul customer service who never apologiezed for the error. Suggested that because the order had gone to another location that I was late and may have lost my reservation. The manager at the alternative location was professional, thorough, accurate and a pleasure to work with. He saved a failed interaction.
