Your employee yelled at me and told me he couldn't take the rental back and that he didn't have room for it. Then he went in the back, presumably talked to someone, then came out and said â€œyou can leaveâ€. That was it. No acknowledgement of his rude behavior, no acknowledgement that he was wrong and I was returning the uhaul to the correct location. Horrible customer service.Christina G.

The lot was so crowded it was lucky I have large vehicle experience pulling the small 10 foot truck out. Was just told look for the number and a vague point towards the packed in vehicles. No offer to help get out of the lot. The inside of the truck was dirty. the two young men at the counter seemed more interested in laughing and sharing funny things on their phones then focusing on helping me.Mary T.

This is the worse experience I've had at a U-Haul I've had. I'm not coming to this location again. I was serviced by Gabrial (He is the carmal complexion who is the least fat. About 260 lb and arond 24 yrs old) The customer service was poor and the reps were unprofessional. The reps were more focused on maintaining their informal conversation amoung themselves than focusing on the customers in front of them and providing a service. They did this the entire interaction and the entire time I was there. There was one other customer experiencing the same type of treatment. The reps were more interested in talking to each other, than providing the service. There were 3 in total (2 caramel complexion males, one tall, darker skinned male). My van had alot of dog hair. It literally looked like a dog was just in there. Hair completely covered the seat. I have pictures. When I brought this up to the rep (carmal complextion male that was 250ish pounds), he said there was nothing he could do. When asked about some type of compensation for the trunk not being ready, he said there is nothing he could do. When I asked to talk to the manager, he said the manager wasn't in. I told him this was unacceptable, he became upset. He let me know he had to go and didn't resolve this. Somehow, my odometer said I went over 360 miles. That's longer than a trip from Minneapolis to Milwaukee. I only stayed in state and within a 5 mile radius. Becasue of this, the rate went to $75 a day. I am contacting corporate. I'm calling the manager and corporate and the store supervisor tomorrow to report this. I am suspecting there was unauthroized use of the van I had prior to me using it. Gabrial didn't physically look at/note the U-Haul's mileage, nor the gas meter. He went off memory.ROBERT J.

I had a guaranteed reservation at another location. They didn't have the truck available and moved me to the given location, which was further away. I called to get details about the change, talked to a customer service rep named Terrence who called me a "fucking asshole" (completely uncalled for, might I add. I was irritated, as anyone would be, but I was not even rude about it) and then hung up on me. I received no discount for the reservation change, even though it was guaranteed and cost me more to rent because I then had to drive the truck further. How would you rate an experience like that? Personally, I would rate it extremely low. How to improve? Maybe don't call your customers "fucking assholes". Also, maybe don't lie by offering a "guaranteed" reservation that isn't guaranteed in any way and where you apparently won't even give the discount you promise if that "guaranteed" reservation falls through.AUSTIN W.

The man that waited on me has no business being in customer service. I reserved a furniture dolly, he said They didn't have one. Another rep said they did. He refused to give it to me. He pointed to the truck, that's yours, had to ask for the keys. Window on truck was down, rained, seat wet, stray trash in cab, 1/2 tank of gas. I made an online appointment at this location specifically because it indicated that the parts were in stock and the work could be completed when I required. I called the location the day before to confirm they had the parts. The agent confirmed they had the parts and made a note of my call in the system. Upon arriving on time for my 8am appointment, I waited 20 minutes to be served. At that point, they indicated that they did not have the parts they needed. We agreed that they would get the parts they needed that day and I would come back at 8am the next day for the installation. When I arrived the next day, I learned that they did not get the parts the previous day and would get them while I waited which further delayed the time it took to complete the work. At no time, did anyone apologize for my inconvenience or even say thank you for my business. All I got were explanations about internal issues which were really just people not doing their jobs. This was a very frustrating and poor customer experience overall.Charles B.

There a couple minor problems with the truck. the mirrors were cracked and falling apart, the tire pressure light came on because apparently i was on a spare the whole move (150 miles~), and the key they gave me did not open the lock on the truckJenna H.

The online check-in process worked terrible. We waited over 20 minutes for our check-in to be confirmed so they location would release the keys, After 20 minutes, we went to the desk and they did something that gave us a different link that finally worked. Then the online form wouldn't let us change the mileage (which was incorrect on the paperwork) and the workers told me I could leave and didn't need to worry about - I even heard them mumble something about it being only 4 miles.Martin B.

The check engine light was on in my Uhaul. This made me very nervous to drive it and it felt as though I was maybe getting set up to pay for repairs on the vehicle that were already needed. The attendants told me to ignore the light and still take it. I wish there was some way to indicate this in the pre-use check in so that if the truck did break down I would have evidence the maintenance was already needed.GRACE B.

There was broken glass in the back of the truck. I swept it out so I wouldn't get charged for the lack of cleaning done prior to my rental. The weather stripping on the driver's side door was falling loose, which was annoying at best when driving the truck. There was some water sitting in the arm rest divot, so I'd hate to think what it'd be like to rent this truck through a rain storm. My biggest complaint is the gas tank policy. The tank was 3/4 of the way full, and they told me to bring it back at 3/4 full, but they didn't tell me that I would be screwed out of the extra amount I paid when I filled the gas tank by accident. Rather than reimburse me, I'm out the (estimated) extra $25 bucks of gas. It would be fair business practice to actually say out loud â€œyou will not be reimbursed for the overage of gasâ€ but they don't say anything other than asking you to bring it back at what it's leaving at. You KNOW they'd charge you for any gas missing, plus a fill up inconvenience fee, but your loss if the tables are turned. There isn't a gauge or anything to assist a customer in filling the gas tank to the exact amount left behind - so it would be fair business practice if they rented vehicles that had completely full gas tanks so it's not such a pain in the butt and non-refundable loss when someone adds too much gas. I guess I'm supposed to know how many gallons total are in the truck tank and then do the math to estimate how many gallons to add to it so it's at 3/4 a tank? Stupid. I am super disappointed with my experience, and the employee that checked me out was too busy to do a walk through or anything with me so that I could ensure that I wouldn't get hit with any other surprise fees (surprise, there were additional costs beyond what I was originally quoted at). What a crappy ordeal. Like we all really have extra money to pad the pockets of UHaul with.Laura P.

The dolly and moving blankets that come inside the truck cannot be removed without paying an extra fee, and they take up space in the truck that I've paid for. I'm fine to have to rent them, but don't take up my space with them if I'm not even able to move them. Annoying. Otherwise it was a great experience.James M.
