The person who originally checked me out was extremely unhelpful. Instead of scanning my card through the card reader like a normal business, he insisted I hand him my card so he could type the number in. He then told me my card was declined. He ran my card up 3 times before giving it back to me. When I called the bank they told me it was because my address could not be verified because your dumb employee couldn't type the numbers right. I went back in and asked him to run the card again and slowly type the numbers in and verify them with me before submitting. The card was still declined 2 more times. I called the bank and they said the card was declined because the expiration date was typed incorrectly and the second time it was the CVV code typed incorrectly. When my phone call ended and I went to have him scan my card for THE SIXTH TIME, there was another worker at the counter. When he checked me out, he had me used the scanner like normal. WHY DID THIS EMPLOYEE TAKE MY CARD SO MANY TIMES??? I am so concerned that he has memorized my card number because he had my card and kept typing into the computer, too many times. This is extremely unacceptable behavior and I will be making a phone call in addition to this review.MRTAZHA T.

Rollup doors need to be lubricated or adjusted. Pull down straps are broken. Floor may not have loose debris on them but they are not cleaned at all. Do they ever wash them?Alan T.

Remove the handicap parking from the pavement at the 1st stall against the wall of the other building. Obviously you don't have enough parking and that particular handicap space is not necessary since you already have some Handicap parking spaces next to the building. I did not feel comfortable parking in the handicap space. I felt that my car would be scratched because I'm not handicapped. Also I want to tell you that I tried to minimize my contact with the onsite staff for expediency and covid by creating an account. I filled out all the required paperwork, taking a photo of my ID and attaching it. When I got to the site it was difficult to check in online. I couldn't do it. I couldn't find parking. I had to go into the store and do it all over again with your in person staff. It really wasted my time. The last thing to tell you is that I was given a vehicle that had less than an 8th of a tank of gas in it. I asked and was told that all the vehicles is is a quarter or less of a tank. I could barely get to a gas station or worse I had to change my plans to go get gas first. you should have a standard that all vehicles are half tank full and that customers bring them back half tank full. My experience is that although I planned for it and did all the paperwork online ahead of time by the time I got through the paperwork at the counter again and honor again and got a truck I was further delayed by having to go get gas just to drive 11 miles with tables for a veteran's event for a nonprofit. Whatever you can do to make life simpler would be much appreciated. Make the gas tanks be half full when the customer takes them so they have to bring it back half full.Cynthia P.

This trailer rental went better than my last one, which left much to be desired. The woman helping me was competent and we got the trailer hitched and checked in about 5 minutes. When I returned someone was there to direct me to a spot that I didn't have to back into like last time and we were unhitched and checked out in 5 minutes. Thanks!Patrick K.

AV1149 has had leftover things each time I have rented it and I have rented it 4 times now. This time, about 20 pieces of tape on the wall. The door pull down strap is broken, but worked. The last two rentals, rain water had come in through the rear somehow and gotten things wet next to the door.Alan T.

I rented a 6x12 trailer with a ramp but it was extremely difficult to attach to my vehicle because it came with no jockey wheel. Instead I head to inch my car backwards and forwards numerous times to get the hitch just in the right spot before we could attach it, so the process took half an hour longer than it should have. When I returned the trailer I got yelled at for driving my truck into the "Equipment Return Lane" (!!!????) and was told I had to drive around and back it into the narrow parking spot where I originally got it from, without any help from the staff. The mobile (24/7) check in was too difficult to find on the website and I ended up having to go inside to the desk for check in. It would be helpful if the confirmation email had a link to directly check in and get your vehicle. what you can do to improve for the next customer is hire friendly, polite employees. the guy who handled my in-person truck rental was rude and curt and answered my questions like I should have already known the answers. when I asked him to repeat something, he did so in a very exaggerated slow manner. the pick up truck was great, the employee I had to deal with was a jerk. if he was polite I would have given 5 stars.ROBIN I.
I had an appointment at 10am but waited in line for 30 minutes. There was only one staff available. When it was my turn, another staff came out to assist. This second person is almost clueless on the procedure. She keep waiting for the other person to take a pause helping her customer and ask her questions on how to check me in. In addition, she said "the system is down" that's why it kind of slow. I'm shocked that both staffs used personal cell phone to check me into the system, scanning my ID, and handle my personal credit card and punching it into their cell phone. It could be true that the office system was down, but I'm extremely unhappy the fact that they take my credit card and punching it onto their personal cellphone. I'm unsure if this is a normal procedure for Uhal since this is my first and could be last visit if this is how they handle their business.CHRISTOPHER V.

There was a discrepancy on the gas usage. Partially my fault for not taking a picture of the gauge showing it was two clicks above 1/2 full, but I took a mental note and returned the vehicle with the gas at the same level. I was told that it was checked out at 1 click below full. I drove 30 miles and added 3.5 gallons of gas which put the needle at 3 clicks above 1/2, more than enough. I was told to put more gas in myself or get charged 60.00 more for gas. I complied and added 8 more gallons to get the needle to what they said it should be. I wanted to speak to a manager but the office was extremely busy so I left. I guess I'll try to go by in the next day or two. It was a little disturbing but lesson learned, tawise pictures of EVERYTHING !ROBERT L.
