The check-out process always takes so long, The waiting lines, the paperwork process, it always seems to take close to 1 hour. Streamlining that would be more appealing.

I chose the wrong size truck and called to see if there was someway I could exchange for a larger truck. I was told that even though they had the truck available it was only for same location return. I said that I understand there might be a additional charge but the office manager was unwilling to even entertain the idea. Saying I was stuck with what I got or I could pay for an additional day. $150. The truck would need to be returned to the pickup location. For the extra day no additional miles would be included. I was told that each additional mile was $1.49. I was moving 150 miles so $220 for additional miles plus $150 for the new truck on top of the $240 I had already paid . I thought this was poor customer service.

No available customer parking on site. Had to park on a side street, even though a UHaul rental truck was parked in the designated parking area. One person working when checking in to get vehicle booked on line. Waited 20 minutes. No one available when dropped vehicle off. Just told to leave keys in van and I would receive final invoice in email.

I bought a mattress cover online for which you charged me, and the transaction went though at my bank. But this was not displayed on the receipt, and did not show up on your system

Mobile checkin was slow and clunky. I wasn't aware you'd need to call multiple people before confirmation. That step felt unnecessary and invasive - particularly when picking the car up later in the evening. Guidelines for taking images (no hats/sunglasses) should be stated on the page asking for your photo. Additionally, ALL of these confirmation steps should be completable before arriving at the pickup location. I don't need to be standing next to the vehicle to take a picture of myself, and my license. Mobile checkin did not save time, and was much more inconvenient that picking up from the sales associate in the store. I will not be doing that again.

First (reserved) trailer was having a flat tire on location ! Hopefully a second one was available, (had to redo all the contract, coz different serial number.) This trailer had new tires but was not balanced, (or very badly balanced). It was a real bad driving experience. Also the ratchets to attach the front wheels of the towed car was all rusty and was not functioning easily, and btw, the attachment going around the tires and into the ratched was real old, and not in good shape also.

Improve customer service and try to maintain additional staff during weekends since its busy time. I had to wait 1.5 hours just to pickup my truck since their computer system was experiencing issues but generally I have seen lines go all the way out of the door due to slow customer service.

Although the location had several 15 foot trucks available, they provided me a truck with over 93,000 miles and a transmission that clearly needed work - not a newer truck as originally promised when the reservation was made. Seems that they wanted to get this truck off their lot.

I arrived on Saturday morning at 7:15 am to see 2 gentleman working with the first customers as best they could because of computer issues. The computer incident went on for about 2 hours (I left with my rental truck at 9:15 am). Jeremiah and Alfonso were model service representatives. They actively tried to problem solve ways around the computer issues, they informed and apologized to the line of people coming in the store, they were clearly worried about their customers and were extremely frustrated that they could not help everyone in a timely fashion. They were incredibly professional, smiling and reassuring and obviously working very hard to help customers in this very challenging situation. Great employees!

I did the express check in at 10 AM by confirming my rental the day before . I waited 70 minutes (1hour and 10 minutes ) in line to pick up my rental. I was told their system was down and there were only two staff at the location helping customers. Two other staff members arrived at 11 a.m. to help customers. Very dissatisfied about waiting so long .

Manager is a very rude guy



I was impressed with the ease with which my change in one-way to local in-town was updated. Initially when my plans changed I spoke to a manager from traffic and he was pessimistic that anything could be done. When I brought my truck back and explained the change, they didnt flinch. The main manager knew exactly what to do and it was not treated like a nusciance to change. Highly professional! I appreciated their customer service.

The Belmont store is incompetent. Incompetent answering service adds to that. I called the number for Belmont and was transferred to your general uHaul answering service. She made the date change I requested and said I could pick up trailer in 30 min. Two minutes later got call from the Belmont store with NO knowledge of any changes and said he had no 5x8s at all and would have to wait for next day. Unsat so he sent me to Mountain View store where I received effective and professional service. Second time I have had issues with your Belmont store and central answering!!

Frank was absolutely outstanding. I’ve rented trailers and trucks from this location for the past couple years and the two reasons I continue to use this location is the large selection of equipment and Franks awesome customer service.



Please don't confuse customers by verbally leading them to believe they won't incur a penalty charge if they do an after hours dropoff beyond the 24 hour deadline specified in their contract. I explicitly asked about this -- i.e., if u-haul would waive an extra charge if I drop the truck off in Los Banos after hours, and I was assured it wouldn't be a problem. Had I known I'd be dinged an extra $40 for an extra day, I never would have rented the truck in the first place.
