the line moved very slow, it took me over an hour to pick up my truck and I had a reservation.

I've rented three times this summer. Alameda, Fremont and Mountain View. Mountain View is the best. Well run, friendly and efficient. Great experience. Great desk lady. Lot guy was really nice. Great experience.

BEWARE! They rent unsafe trucks and it is a complete CIRCUS to get your complaints registered and resolved with their ABSENT manager Alfonso Horton! HE IS A CROOK! Go to ANY PLACE by this location! FACT - This location rented out a 20 foot truck after "inspection." FACT - We couldn't fill the tank up due to it PUKING fuel out of the filler neck had DUCT TAPE placed on it. FACT - We called roadside and waited 30 mins for someone to pick up the call FACT - Husband had to stop MULTIPLE times for 200 mile move to refuel resulting in $145.61 in fuel charges. (my charges for the same drive were only $55) FACT - 30 miles out of destination and 8hrs in, he blows a tire that had been RETREADED! ILLEGAL! FACT - Blown tire pushed the exhaust pipe through the body of the truck - where there was ALREADY fuel leaking...which could have EASY started a fire! FACT- It took roadside assistance almost THREE HOURS between arrival and repair. FACT - Took my husband 12 hours to complete a trip that took me 5 hours in my uhaul truck!!!! Logged our complain on 7/17 and per corporate policy manager has 3 business days to resolve. It is 7/25/17 and NO ONE HAS RESOLVED our complaints!

One person behind the counter helping a long line of people. It tool 1 hour to reach the counter, a women fainted hitting her head while in line behind me and and NO ONE from U-Haul (employees ) did a thing. Unbelievable, never helped her, offer her water, a chair, ambulance, nothing ...... can you explain this to me? My son and I helped her and told her husband she should go to the hospital to be checked over. No I can not recommend U-haul to anyone after this experience.

Best U-Haul staff I've ever worked with. Friendly and joking, yet professional and fast.

Morning check in was ok. Truck had no power steering. Only one person at location in afternoon. Franchise Owner needs to hire more people.

Check-in would have taken a very long time had I not done it expressly via my phone. Express check-in did not work using Chrome - I had to use Firefox. Return was fast and painless.

Train employees on new processes, especially automated check in.

Hire more staff so I don't have to spend 50 min in line, even though I checked in ahead of time.

Your advertising is not entirely honest. You advertise "$19.99 per day" but leave out the large mileage charge, which typically ends up being about FOUR TIMES (or more) the nominal daily fee. Hey, if you want to charge extra for each mile traveled, go ahead and knock yourself out -- that's free enterprise. BUT free enterprise is still supposed to be HONEST enterprise -- if your mileage charge constitutes 75%-80% of the cost of renting a truck or van, you really should include that charge in your advertising. Otherwise, it's very misleading.

The truck that I originally reserved was not available, but they gave me the next size up for the same price, so all was well. The check-out process was a bit drawn out.

mountain view was just too far from San Jose to pick up my trailer, the service line to check in was too long, long wait time and only one attendant was working at that time until a second person came to help.. it was the same long line when returning the equipment, 1 person Service attendant. A plus to the attendant who assisted us outside after unhitching our rental, he was very nice, very helpful, and treated us like we were his priority. Seeing that I was standing outside under the hot sun while my husband unhooked the trailer from our truck he called out to another attendant to help us and check us out.

Faster check-in. Was second in line and took 15 minutes before I was helped.

The staff definitely knew what they were doing, but they seemed annoyed that I drove up at that moment because I guess I was the last of a 4 or 5 car rush. Rather than help me, they just said "can I email you the receipt?" so that they would not need to help me right then.

The app was extremely helpful, otherwise I would have had to wait in line for an hour. The location was severely understaffed, and it was unclear what I was supposed to do with the app (which took a long time to verify my driver's license.) It took me a long time to find the truck also, it was parked in a corner facing backward. Please put the truck in a location that is well marked, make the app a little easier to use, and identify clearly to whom and where you are supposed to show the app's validation screen (I just happened to catch one of the employee's in the parking lot). Return was very easy, just like a rental car agency at an airport.

Frank Urick was phenomenal and really helped me while I was stressed out. The lines were way too long and, when I spoke to the manager about it, he told me to just be patient. The woman in front of us had been waiting for two hours for a truck that didn't come and then was told to call Uhaul HQ herself to figure out how to get another truck. It was kind of garbage. All that said, Frank hooked me up by being kind, courteous, and quick once it was my time. He did his best to move the line quickly, but was just one guy holding at bay a line of 15 people in one of their most stressed times -- renting a truck and trying to move expensive equipment!

Manager never got back to me with obvious discrepancies with the bill. I called and emailed

The agent did not provide me a one way truck so I can drop it off at another location so I had to drive all way back from San Jose. Your agent Alfonzo Horton was impatient and did not give me good explanation for everything and he told me the gas gauge is at the Middle of display meter and half tank is full but when I checked the gas gauge it was way below the Middle line.
