Reservation was made in July for a 6' x 12' RV. Reservation # 26137447. Order re-confirmation received from U-Haul on 9/21/2022. Upon arriving 30 minutes earlier I have been advised that no trailers are available and none within a fifty (50) mile radius. The only other option is to rent a 26' Truck. Wow, how different is that from the trailer I needed! Being committed to clients, and obligated by contract, I had no choice but to rent the truck and drive it with a load that did not even occupy 5% of the space it had! Regularly renting trailers at this North Miami Beach location for the last fifteen years and always with advanced reservations, in the past has given me a piece of mind knowing the trailer will be waiting for me upon arrival. Well, that has all stopped in the last several months! This is the 4th time the trailer reserved was not available! The excuses and explanations given by the staff, were to say the least, ridicules and upsetting! Like "oh what do you expect us to hold a trailer for you here!?" or " Miami is getting more populated" The lack of understanding customer's frustration, along with the displayed "could not care less, take it or leave it " atitude, making you feel like that staff's incompetency at this location was the customer's fault, is absolutely revolting! It is not the norm of service I have been experiencing at this U-Haul location in the many previous years, - I have been their loyal repeat client. I do hope that perhaps upper-level management of U-Haul will take their time and make an effort to correct this disturbing and now an ungoing issue!George F.

My experience when well from the service from this wonderful pleasant young lady at the service desk, after getting my key for the rental. I did not understand how to find the truck, there were 3 male workers outside waiting for return trucks to come in. I greeted them by saying hello and getting a response from the other two the other guy was complaining about something. I did get a response from the other two and the other guy was still complaining about some off-the-wall stuff. one of the workers saw that I was having problems and decided to come over and assist me to help me find the truck and to get me going that was the height of my moment of being at this place of business because my moving day was already stressful. if it was not for the young lady inside that made my experience and the guy that helped me outside also made my day good, I would not have given a 5 star. A company like this needs more workers, like the 2 that helped me, that are willing to work and to make sure the customer comes first. The ones that are bad-mannered need to remember that the clients are the ones who are wanting services for them to keep their jobs.Lisa E.

For some reason the truck I reserved was not available. They ended up helping me by allowing me to reserve another truck scheduled for a one way move. I returned the truck a few minutes after closing. Unknown to me I was charged for a second day so instead of the bill being $160.97, I was told I owed $278.82. The fuel level was in medium at the moment of picking up the truck. When I was going to drop it off first I went to put gasoline at the gas station and I was charged more than $80.00. I think I had to receive the truck full tank so I wouldn't be charged too expensiveAlejandro G.
Reservation for truck and Dollies were made three weeks in advanceZ. Check in was done online 2 days prior. We get to the store and we're told no Dollie's were available. (I had reserved 4) No prior notice, no phone call, anything that could have prevented us from having a long a terrible move!! Going from a house to a condominium, 21st Floor, with no rental equipment available and on at time crunch due to condo restrictions, it was horrible. A move that could have taken us 4-5 hrs, took almost 9 and with everyone struggling to carry heavy boxes and furniture, completely exhausted and being late for work due to the extended time it took to move everything without the dollys. It was my worst moving experience. At least a courtesy called giving us the heads up that no equipment was going to to be available and then we could have looked for other options. Basically, being told this information at the time of the truck pick up, left us with no choice than completely carry things on our hands and having everyone in the moving group in a lot of back pain, legs and arms. This was totally unnecessary if customer care had triage our reservation before arrival. My 66 yr old Brother could only help for half the time Since he was completely exhausted and almost unable to walk due to back pain. the mileage on the contract was printed approx. 11,000 miles lower than the actual mileage. The person I dropped it off with at the other location caught this error. I reassured him that I did not actually drive literally to China, and luckily I had thought to take a photo of the actual mileage. The next customer would probably appreciate not experiencing this error. However the guy who helped me hook up the tow trailer was very helpful and he gets five stars; the error gets zero stars, so I put an average in the middle score.David L.

When I picked up the first u-box there were no pads. When I picked up the second one there was no plastic cover so the whole box got wet in the rain. Besides that the entire staff was horribly rude and unhelpful. I left messages with staff members regarding the issues I described above and was assured a manager would get back to me. Employees are not aligned with delivering a quality service. They have a terrible attitude. You system is not customer friendly; I had to go to a different storage in Doral (40 minutes away) and then back to the North Miami facility in order to store my items. Staff was rude and completely uninterested in helping customers. The young lady that helped me seemed like she was struggling to keep conscious and had little interest in being there. When we had an issue with the keypad to get in we were admonished by a very annoyed front desk worker who told us we weren’t using both keypads. The issue was no one told us there were two or that they needed to be used together or in what order. We were supposed to guess. When I asked if she could just check the code in case it was the code so I wouldn’t have to come back she said just use both keypads as though she couldn’t be bothered. When we first arrived, we were told our storage locker was at another address completely (incorrect). Multiple times when we visited our storage locker we had to ask staff to move their car as it was blocking the loading door. 4 days prior to my storage unit expiring, I called their office, told the man who answered the phone that i would like to extend for another month, and he took my credit card number. A week later a woman called me and said my payment was overdue, and threatening me with late fees and lien fees etc etc. It turns out the man had only processed "the insurance owing on the first month" (~$10). I had been told upon original check in that this was included in my first free month.
