I've used UHAUL.ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS FROM THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION

I put the gas level back to 1/4 tank, but Vejaye reports it to be less than 1/4 tank. Had to go back, stand in line, need to go to work, waste of time. Only to find out that it was indeed 1/4 tank, i was right. Second time this happened to me at this location.

The manager was great, multi-tasking to do her best to get everyone checked in! She gets 5 stars. However, she was the only one working and check in took almost an hour with the line. Then drop off, the pull-in area was blocked so trucks were backed up A1A waiting their turn, blocking traffic and again taking forever. Adding hours for Uhaul pick up and drop off is the last thing anyone moving wants to deal with! The truck itself was ancient and emitting some concerning sounds and smells... I'm glad we only needed it for short-distance work, would definitely be concerned about taking it far at all!

Better service at the check in and check out. Truck had less than 1/4 tank and they said just return it the same and that it gets good fuel millage. I never picked up rental with less than a 1/4 tank. They fuel light went on 5 minutes after leaving. They charged me for fuel and it took me an hour with customer service to fix the mistake. Thankfully I took before and after pictures of the odometer and fuel gauge. I used this location before but what a mess now.

Ensure starting mileage and fuel levels on the contract are accurate. Advising customers to check before leaving the lot was helpful for me, but others may not check nor receive the advisement. The mileage on my rental vehicle was thousands of miles higher than the contract mileage and the fuel level was more than 1/8 lower between vehicle and contract. I advised an agent who corrected the data online, but had I not checked, the checkout could have been less than ideal.

My drop off location was Sardis Road in Asheville, North Carolina. That facility is pristine, and the gentleman at the desk was over the top, friendly and helpful.

While the manager was there things went great. In the afternoon there was only 1 person present who DID NOT care about quick service or customer satisfaction. But this seems typical of UHaul centers in South Florida.

Trailer came off the ball hitch on I-95 due to UHaul employee's inadequate installation and tightening of the hitch to my 2" ball. He was talking on his phone during the installation via earbuds and didn't take the time to tighten the hitch correctly. Distraction was almost a killer. Trailer was empty as I was on my way to return it when it disconnected and started violently whipping back and forth on the chains, yanking the rear of my vehicle left and right in increasing magnitude. I was expecting to roll over, it was that severe. I kept the car straight enough to be able to slowly coast to a stop. The chains were the only thing attached. Minor damage to the bumper, by some miracle. Major damage to my trust in UHaul.

Not enough people to accept returns effectively

Arrived at 9:05 am. Was not processed till 10 am. It seemed that no one in line had a reservation. If you have one their should be a seperate line or quick check oiut. The young lady who waited on me was on face time call with a fried the entire time. when the process was completed she disappeared for 10 minutes. Vehicle was clean and return was very easy.

Difficult and time consuming to pick up truck before hours. Completed the online check-in prior to picking up truck and it took over 20 minutes to complete the process once we arrived. Diffucult to locate truck, online application required more information, lot was unorganized. Upon returning the truck, it was not easy to know what to do or where to go with office being opened; actual office was disorganized with various products and shelving blocking the desk area. Would not recommend this location due to poor communication and cluttered office, and lot being too small for number of trucks to rent.

When I google moving trucks, Penske comes up thru AI as best recommended for better trucks. U-Haul truck couldn’t have been better. Cannot recommend U-Haul enough. Thank you.

The truck was not clean in the cab or back of the truck. There was garbage/previous moving stuff left behind. I have the woman's contract that rented the truck before me as it was left in the truck.

The computer system went down and we had to use my phone to complete the check in process. I completed an early reservation on the app and, still, a 5 minute payment interaction became 30 minutes for each customer. The staff did their best to accommodate, but the situation was still frustrating. Shortly after leaving the beleaguered location, the fan for the A/C failed. We adjusted the settings periodically, but ultimately had no A/C for the entirety of our project, which becomes a health concern when you’re moving furniture out in the middle of Florida summer. I could not turn around to switch to another truck as I was already late to an appointment and the line (with the system still down and the staff stretched thin) would run too long, ultimately endangering my project altogether. The increasing number of returning vehicles, as well as pending customer interactions, would have kept me waiting an hour or more to exchange my truck. So, I kept it. I hoped that the A/C would pull through and deliver; it did not. If I use this company for future projects, I will have to extend my check out process by 15 minutes to ensure the a/c works properly for myself and coworkers. I am waiting to hear back regarding my claim. While my experience is honest, I hope U-Haul will do right by me and return a portion of my payment. A moving truck without functional A/C can quickly heat up in the cab, putting the driver and passengers at risk of dehydration and heat exhaustion, ultimately endangering both themselves and anyone they may come across on their route. I can definitely say that the drive home (3+ hours during midday heat) was a struggle I would not wish on anyone.

The staff is slow and weak. Watching videos on phone while renting to me?! REALLY!? No DIRECT FACE TO FACE basic information at rental! Example. Just left me to figure out how to pay! NO "Insert your card, sign, then press accept". NO HELP; "Youre coming back at 5... No problem were open until 7". Walk out to truck "just take a picture of plate and follow directions on text AND WALKS AWAY"!? HUH!? Windshield so dirty had to stop and clean it! If it weren't for proxmity... id go somewhere else!

Dropped off after hours

Staff inside was great. Staff outside was poor. I was returning a trailer but had to wait until the outside Staff was done cleaning the truck in front of me so that I could pull the trailer through. Then I was told to park the trailer in a certain area and the guy disappeared. After waiting for some more time I disconnected the trailer myself and left. While pulling out, I saw the outside Staff sitting inside the working garage not really doing anything.

Let the staff know that when a customer shows up to return equipment, they should stop playing with their cellphone, and assist the customer. I clearly was not as important as what was going on, on that phone.

I dropped this off at a different location and was charged an extra $1000! The woman at the location made no mention of a PENALTY, for dropping off the truck. I will not use nor recommend U-Haul ever again.

I picked up a motorcycle trailer in the morning and when I dropped it off, I had to unload it myself. There were no other customers in the office just two employees and the lady said just go ahead and drop it in the back. It was 11 am when I dropped it off. I had to call and remind them at 3 PM to check it in because they had not checked it in yet. I did not want to be charged for another day for their mistakes. They finally checked it in after I called them.

I have rented from U-Haul in the past and this was by far the worst experience. For the pickup, I was there for over an hour as the U-Haul rep. did not know how to do her job. She wanted to charge me almost twice the amount as what I had reserved over 1 month previously. When she called the 1-800 U haul number, there amount matched mine but she would not give me that same amount, only the much higher number. After nearly an hour, the manager came in and finally resolved it. After the contract was finally signed, I waited another 15 minutes for someone to come out to get me the trailer. I then had to move another trailer myself in order to hook my trailer up. Horrible experience and will not rent from that site again.

I didn’t have to go inside this location but drop off was quick and seamless. My only complaint here is that I was charged for extra mileage but when I rented I was told there was no mileage charge for the trip.
