There is long waiting to book any vehicle with staff as it seems to be under staffed. Also the person who booked our vehicle did not explain things and seemed not to care when we asked questions. Then when dropping off the vehicle he said that everything was in miles but failed to explain this when booking the vehicle and only asked what we wanted for km. Which was frustrating as we would have gave extra miles not km to not get overcharged. Seemed as though he needs to be trained in customer relations.CHANTEL M.
Hi Unfortunately this is the worst experience i ever had with uhaul, i used uhaul so many times but this time i got the worst service recieved , staff is not professional and they abused me , used foul language with me and i advised them i dont want insurance and still they charged me for insurance. Because of this experience i will never recommend to any of my family and friends. On the up side, the staff person was very efficient and personable. On the down side, and this was major to me, we had ordered two dollies, 40 blankets, and straps for the move, but the morning we picked up the van we were told they weren't available. The staff person managed to scrounge together an appliance dolly (too heavy, undermining expediency), and only 4 (four) blankets. I had to unpack boxes and use personal bedding to protect my furniture, which meant there was some surface damage to some items, and with no straps, the pain had to be wedged in with other contents. Not nice, not fun on a very tightly scheduled long distance move For this reason, despite the clerk's efficiency, I will never use U-Haul again.David P.

The link provided to return the vehicle shows that this location has some barcode at the front of the store. In fact, there was no barcode that could be scanned to return the equipment. This needs to be resolved. But, the drop off was still easydarshak P.

Had a little problem with the carhauler ratchet straps being caked in mud and gravel. Had to scrape ofd the mud to slide the ratchet in line with the tire. A minor issue but nothing major.Daniel S.

Online Reservation tool seems to not work well. I reserved at 26' truck and they had a 20' for me when I arrived. The customer in front of me had a similar issue...he had reserved a 26' truck but their computer system had a pickup truck for him. Obviously you can see how this can be an issue especially during an already stressfull moving eventTaylor K.

Horrible experience. Used the website to book a van days in advance, had one reserved for 10:30. While doing this originally the site went down and I was being redirected to an outage page. Once the site was back up I finished the reservation process. I arrived at the site to and work through the poorly designed mobile site to pick up the van. If I need to take photos of my license, why can't I do that before I arrive a lot the site? If using a passport is an option why am I not told that before I arrive at the location without my passport? After finishing those steps, I'm given the serial of the van to get into, as I find it somebody else gets into the van I had reserved and drives away. I talk to the employees they immediately blame the mobile site and talk about how they should shut it down. I am then told that there should be two vans at 11:00. I'm then told by another employee that a lady worked until 11:00 and will be returning it after. I'm then told the customer called and told them she had extended it to noon. Employees 100% blame the other customers, I had to wait a total of 2 hours until I finally received a van I had reserved in advance. I had people lined up to help me move and they were waiting for two hours doing nothing. I was not offered any kind of compensation or an option to take another vehicle type. Returning the vehicle was also annoying, waited for 10 mins at the return spot, at one time an employee walked by but did bother to help me or acknowledge me in anyway. Ended up doing the mobile check in, which again poorly designed. I am astounded by how much this experience sucked.DAVID W.

I called to confirm my 15' truck the day before and they said everything was ready to go. Arrived at the location and all they had was a 10' truck. I had to take additional loads because of this and my fuel and mileage went up. I want compensation. I will never use your service again.Nathan H.

U-Haul gave us Ã vehicle that was a safety hazard as the rubber seal around the windshield was flapping in the wind. We had filled the vehicle with gas before realizing ALSO that the radiator was leaking water. Upon returning the vehicle for another vehicle (filled with heavy Ã©quipement) our staff member had to do all that alone as the remaining crew had already left. We filled the second vehicle with gas, and as we returned the second vehicle on Monday morning, U-Haul Regina on Park Street refused to reimburse the 120.00 dollars of extra gas in the first FAULTY vehicle, referring arrogantly the customer to the gas refill policy.This is unacceptable as a business practice. They refused to be accountable for having provided a faulty vehicle in the first place. We are totally saddened by the lack of customer regard as we are a faithful customer every year for our Festival event.susan C.

Equipment was quite dirty with strong animal smell. Floor of cargo area had a stain, likely from animal waste product. It was unsanitary to put personal items into the cargo area therefore. Had to improvise with using a covering. Looks like the vehicle was returned and just loaned out to the next person and that turning the vehicle around to make profits was more important thatn the welfare of customer. It was clear there was no check done on the vehicle before it was loaned out. Not acceptable at all.OLADAPO S.

I was told the gas tank on the vehicle I rented had a gas tank 3/8 full. Please bring it back with the same amount or a little more, I was told. I shold have been suspicious when I did my ritual photo inspection of the rental vehicle. The gas tank had been undone and was hanging down. Dumb! I should have gone back inside and brought back the branch manager to recertify the gas ank was 3/8 full. Instead, I got in and drove about 25 kilometre and -- damn! -- the gas tank guage was at the "empty" mark. I put 40 bucks worth of gas into the vehicle to bring it back to the 3/8 level. Not cheap! On returning it, I asked the manager if this branch has a problem with gasoline thefts. She admitted it did. I'm not pleased at all by this experience. The lesson? I should have checked the gas level beore driving. And the branch manager should check it right before the vehicle goes out.Wilfred C.

This was the worst experience. I booked a 20 feet truck 20 days before my booking day. On the pick up day u haul schedulers sent me on different location, but there was no truck. Then provided me 15 feet truck from different location. I called u haul many times but waiting time is more than half an haur. Then pick up location lady said that my fare included 2 days to return but if I returned the truck in 24 hours i will get some refund. I returned truck in between 24 hours but did not get any refund. Very frustrated service and kicking extra money from customer's pocketjagjie S.

Uhaul, from the start, wrecked my move, I paid for and ordered a 6'x12' trailer, paid d in full, then the day before my move, on Canada Day long weekend, messaged me a confirmation for a 5'x8' trailer ??????? WTH, I needed and paid for a trailer to haul al my furniture etc, instead of 72 sq ft of floor space, I got 40, oh, and I owed .72 cents when it picked it up, if only there was a different company, DONT USE UHAUL if you really don't have to , Horrible Service, never answered phone, horrible experience, thanks for nothing, I moved interprovincial your, so needless to say I threw out a lot, wing chairs, bbq, etc , ha, no room !'ANDREW C.

Because of a faulty electrical connection on the trailer we had to make numerous stops to get the turn signals and brake lights working, including the day to return the trailer to the Regina drop off location (after a 2000 km trip). We ended up being an hour past the drop off time so they charged us an extra day's rent as a penalty even though I explained what happened. I even told them we had to travel 100 kms each way to pick up the trailer in the first place because even though we reserved one for pick up in Victoria they couldn't get it down there for us and we had to go fetch it in a small town. That meant nothing to the girl I dealt with. She didn't even apologize for the faulty electrical that caused our 1 hour delay. She seemed happy to add on a extra day of rent. The front desk was excellent but the manager was talking very loudly and bad about other staff and how one was more impressed than the other.
