They made me wait 24 hours, didn't return my call then when I arrived the next morning at 7am I was told my vehicle was still missing and to drive across town to a different location back towards my home. I was told at my rental location (which was close to my home and different than my pick up location which was 40 minutes away) that I pay when I DROP OFF the trailer. The gentleman was well aware it was a ONE WAY RENTAL to Salt Lake City. When I picked up the trailer (in Renton Highlands) I was asked "how would I like to pay?" I explained I was under the impression payment was done at drop off. Because this information was given to me at my rental location I did not bring the credit card with me that i wanted to use. The young man at the pick up location then told me "it will be a pending charge" and I can then use my preferred credit card when I drop it off in Salt Lake City. Once I arrived in SLC at my drop off location I spoke to the young lady and asked if I could change my payment method (which remember TWO different locations told me i could do it). She then informed me that I couldn't do it because I paid when I picked up the trailer. Obviously I was given wrong information. This is very disappointing. My rental was just under $700 and I ended up having to use my debit card WHICH I DID NOT WANT TO USE. Although the employees at all three locations were very helpful and friendly, there should be a consistent level of knowledge regarding rental policies AT ALL LOCATIONS.TANYA B.

The website told me that I could rent and fit in my car on the trailer but it was incorrect. I ended up having to pay for a day of the trailer just to find out that it wouldn't fit in my carWill W.

When I rented the pickup truck, I was given a link that shows the truck in perfect condition. What is the purpose of this as the truck I rented had damage to the bed door which was caused by a prior renter. I did not notice this when I picked up the truck and accused the person who loaded the truck for the damage. I went back to U-Haul, and they explained what had happened.Frits B.

I was originally supposed to have a 20' truck 20 miles from this location. The only bad part about my experience was that I was confirmed for a truck that was not at my original location and a truck 6 feet longer than what I initially ordered was all I could find 20 miles in the opposite direction of all of my truck needs for the day. Despite uhaul only charging for the20 foot truck I still had to pay gas and short change my ability to drop off at my warehouse due to the total miles used. The employees were great at this location and helpful in assisting me with unloading the remainder of my goods from the truck into my pick up to take the remaining 20 miles back to my warehouse.Marissa G.

Scheduled a truck plus hired moving help from Uhaul website a week in advance. For the second consecutive weekend, was called 12 hours before my pickup time to tell me the truck would not be ready for my AM pickup and I was rescheduled for 2 PM This was after I had already had set up times with movers based on 9 AM pickup. It created a gigantic problem as final destination was 3 hours away and Uhaul did nothing to try to make it right. Last time I'll ever use them!Paul G.

Verify you're using the correct account before renting out vehicles. Check in and check out properly before renting out vehicles. Verify accounts from previous customers are closed completely. I have been charged for trips to Boston, and Maryland without having ever left the state of Washington.Angela T.
Your website and app are horrible. Not only did my order number get lost the first time I tried to order a truck, the second time I ordered a truck my order number completely disappeared. Absolutely ridiculous and horrible experience. I would not recommend renting with U-HaulAsher W.

The service was great. Pick up and drop off went smoothly and quickly. Definitely the most pleasant Uhaul experience we've ever had. However the truck seems to be bear up and on its way out with about 164,000 miles on it. It also made a loud noise the entire ride.Nathan M.

I didn't realize it when I was at the front desk this time but they tried to send me a text link for the vehicle walk around. As I was at work I only had my work cell on me which didn't have data. This became very concerning when I noticed the smashed in tailgate from a previous renter. I'm not saying it shouldn't be the default way of doing business, but it would have been nice to have the the paper option to note damage.Charles A.

Customer service was horrible. I was told only credit card when I got there when that wasn't the case when I moved back in January. The young lady that checked us in was extremely rude and careless and she and the young man that was there were less than helpful they let us walk around for well over 10 minutes which is on camera and didn't come out to help us. I ordered a specific van and was given a completely different one which is why I thought we were originally at the right van but that wasn't the case she gave me a completely different van located in a completely different location than what she said we went back to ask her where the van was and she said it's out there to the left all the way in the back near the fence instead of coming out and helping us find it she also should have had it already pulled up and ready to go when I rented a van back in January they pulled my van up and made sure that it was ready to go and I did it twice so I didn't understand why she didn't do that it was extremely rude she was careless she was wearing a belly shirt nor did she give me the contract before I left the store like before I left in her U-Haul she did not make sure I have the contract which I thought was extremely weird and rudeFaithe B.
The Uhaul app sucks. The line to pick up the trucks was 30 minutes and uploading my drivers license in the app kept saying it wasn't my license photo. Others in line had the same issue. Waste of time and frustrating. Not this location's fault. Corp needs to get their crap together. Obviously they don't care.Michael H.
It was really bad experience at the very begging. We reserved a 10' truck through the UHaul phone operator at 4 pm on 7/16 and when we got there, the store told us that there was NO truck available. We were waiting for â€œ1 HOURâ€! and the the store folks suggested us to go the other location in Renton which is Renton highlands location. Fortunately, the second location had a truck for us even though our original reservation was in the first location. I have no idea what the UHaul reservation policy was for. It was so unreliable and randomly to customers.Patrick L.

i arrive the location at 7:05pm and i saw the staff still in the store but they refused to check out for us. so i check out from the website it shows me ''thank you '' page. i called the # on the contract the staff told me she will let the store knows to avoid charging $20 but the $20 still being charge. also when i check in i have been told the gas 1/4 tank when i return that is fine.but i still be charge for $12.15! very disappointed, please follow up.Jacob B.

After 2 months of working with another moving company they dropped us on pick up day. After a bit of panic I drove straight to a U-Haul location. After telling my story the 3 employees sprang to action and helped me get connected to a representative who managed to find us a cross country truck and car hauler! I could not be happier! My first reservation was cancelled a day before my move. Made another reservation and when I arrived at the location they did not have a truck for me. I had to settle for a smaller truck which did not complete my move. This was overall a terrible experience and cost me much money and time due to U-Haul not fulfilling their end of my contract. When I made the reservation to add extra days I was informed that if returned earlier than planned and paid for extra days ahead of time, I would receive a refund for the extra charged days I did not need. Apparently that was a lie. I am very disappointed to be told one thing (on three separate occasions to make sure) then have that not happen. Why else would I have paid an extra $350 dollars. We arrived to our destination ahead of schedule and keeping the trailer wasn't an option either. Again extremely disappointed with the false information then how it was handled when returning.Sarah L.

Pick up location was inconvenient. Multiple locations closer, and U Haul closed one location where I was suppose to do the pick up 3 days before my move. What a disaster! The U Haul should have been able to be relocated to a closer destination.jason H.
Don't take a reservation that has a hand truck request if you don't have them in inventory. Hard to understand: if you had one to â€œsellâ€ to me (which we did), you had inventory to provide one to me with my reservation. Doesn't appear to be limited to your location â€¦ the Renton Uhaul did the same thing so I'm guessing it's just a way to sell a hand truck. Not great business though.Carreen F.
