I waited over 30 minutes past my reservation time (which I took the time to make online) before I was helped. The representative did not know how to do the job properly so I had to redo the reservation on-site which made it over 45 minutes past my time before I drove out. On return, the representatives were rude and also seemed unsure how to do their respective jobs. This is in contrast to prior experiences at this location and sincerely hope this is addressed or I will stop using Uhaul permanently.

I drove the truck for 41 miles I filled it 4gallons of gasoline and you still charged me for 2more gallos I have a hard time to believe that the truck only make 6miles per gallons

I will be filing an official complaint with corporate. Where do I begin... This U-Haul experience was a nightmare from the beginning. I booked a Van for a rather difficult move 67 miles between LA and Riverside. I arranged for after hours pick up at 8pm. When I arrived the app did not work. I discovered it was because nobody had prepared my Van for me. Lucky I caught the workers before they ran home. They said they "can't rent vans after hours, but can give a 10 foot trick". I knew this would mean PAYING more and I did not need the space. After 1 hour of scrambling and fiddling with the app, I was finally given access to vehicle and began my 67 mile drive. I stopped for GAS 30 miles in because the truck had barely any when I noted that the truck had been left PAD LOCKED by the staff. With no way to access the cargo area and it being very late, I tried to rush back 30 MILES to the U-Haul of Riverside to get this damn thing sorted. Of course, nobody was there. The following day, I had to find a different U-Haul location in LA to get them to cut the lock off. The found that the truck had not been cleaned and was in fact full of moving blankets and NOT my moving equipment that I had requested. The end of the store was a $179 bill for what should have been a simple 1 day move. This is totally unacceptable.

I have rented equipment in the past and with in 2 weeks twice. The wait was so long. There was 6 people in line and only one person behind the desk. I waited 50 minutes in line and another 30 minutes to get hooked up to a trailer. When I came back with the trailer there was a long line. To wait to get unhitched and stand in line is unacceptable. There are 4 people working in the garage and one person eating in the office. One customer was so mad that she had was waiting 30 minuted to get a moving man. She said she heard the employee hooking up equipment went to lunch. I will go back to rent again and soon because you are the only game in town. I am 78 years old and I know now to take a drink, something to eat and a chair. The persons hooking up the trailers were very nice and said they were sorry we waited so long. You might consider to add more than one person behind the counter on this week end. The end of the month on a Friday or Saturday. That is when people move from one place to another. Thank you for listening.

Have enclosed trailers swept out before renting them out. It took 5 phone calls for us to confirm that the trailer that was dropped off after hours was received in your system. We tried physically calling the store for a physical confirmation of receipt of the trailer - but each time we were routed to call center. Very frustrating.

They had to change the contract 3 times for the truck and it took forever. Then when I went to pick up two dolly it was the same issue and they couldn't find the equipment. It took an hour just for them to find d the equipment

had to switch out the contract multiple times because they couldnt find the truck. This happened again when I picke up the tow dolly. No one seems to know their own inventory and what they had. It took 1 hour just for them to figure out the tow dolly.

Rude customer service rep, my reservation had been moved 2x for location in 12hrs.stated that it sucked,he told me that I didn’t need to rent from them then.plus he was preoccupied on his phone when it was my turn and stayed on it out to my vehicle and back into the rental office, he then got off and was rude.Needed the trailer so no choice on my part.i have rented before and always had good service and accommodating people, I will rent as needed again , but not from this location. Thank you

This is no fault of the location at all, but I was not told that I would need a credit card to rent the Uhaul upon arriving at the store. That information would be good to know before someone makes the trek. What's more- not allowing people to rent a Uhaul without a credit card seems somewhat alienating. There are many people who do not use credit cards, and one could easily argue that a deposit or charges through a debit card are far more likely to be protected. Just a thought.

The pickup truck only had 6,900 miles and it had an overwhelming smell of cigarettes. The engine was also running rough at idle.

All of the paperwork was completed online, then when I got to the office I had to spend the time to do it all over again. Asking for the two references and taking pics of driver's license when all of that was uploaded previously. Ridiculous. The customer service was adequate.

Computers were down when I turned in my truck, 2 hours later I get a call saying I’m late and my truck is overdue , I had to go back up there . How do you guys lose a whole truck

The interior of the trailer was not swept and clean. The light coating of sand was extra slippery under foot although it helped slide a couple of things in the trailer.

They could have more staff on duty to better assist customers. They can also do better in communicating to customers who have prior reservations. I reserved my truck 8 am on January 2 and was not notified the store would not be opened until 9 am upon arrival to rent the vehicle.

Initially they gave me the wrong van. The mileage didn’t jive. After they gave me the right van the worker told me he would check with the manager and get back to me. He never returned. I had to go back in after waiting. Someone else told me ok I could go. Very poor customer service. Manager didn’t care about the customers

paid full price for 6 hours , told me that they only had one . but as I pull up another was next to the one I was taking. also I was called asking me to bring it back at 4:00 that day . came back before time was up and pull up to the same spot , 3 other trailers are line up to the spot ready to go be rented out . I asked the young guy ,whats up and a 4th trailer was being pull up behind me . I think your company is not right . if I rent it for the day , it should be for 24 hours , not what these guys did to me! call me DR. WEBER 909-241-9911

I did the reservation online, including the precheck, but I still had to add a lot of information at the desk. What is the point of going online if I still have to waist my time at the counter in addition to also waiting for a long time to get to the counter in the 1st place?!

2 of the 3 workers did not know what they were doing and it was very clear. Took 1 hour to pick up because they messed up and still provided incorrect information that further delayed us. So disappointed.

Using the app, after using my phone, my password, uploading my picture AND my drivers license, and the having the app tell me to skip the line and get my keys; i was forced to wait, reshow my id and the clerk looked up my account. Why?

Walked in and lady behind the desk would not acknowledge me for the first few minutes. Then she said I needed to drive up the hill to have trailer unhooked. So I drove up hill only to have some guy tell me to drive back down off hill and go back below. Then ai get below and the same guy wants me to back the trailer in a tiny little spot from the wrong approach to make his life easier!!??? Nope, told him sorry .. you ha e wasted enough of my time driving and waiting you unhook this trailer yourself and park it where ever you like!!! This was a bad experience and I don’t wish to go through it again. Their time is valuable and mine is nothing???? Nope, very bad costumer service and I will never return anything to this service center again!!!

The truck had 3 miles of fuel left according to the dash. I cant believe noone checked this before releasing it to a customer. The line was too long and the staff was shorthanded to bother them with it. The online self check was great though. Crazy convenient and a time saver!

I ordered my truck for 6 am, but when I tried to pick it up my confirmation said 8am. Luckily for us we were late (about 6:45) & employees had shown up, I showed. them my confirmation & they started the process before they were actually open. I guess the homeless syphon off gas from the big trucks & so they do not let those trucks go early due to being on empty. I should have been informed of this so that I could have remotely picked the truck up else where.

Your 2 phone call requirement is the most irritating demeaning requirement, AND copy of front/ back of DL is the same. All this hassle to rent a trailer!!!! I have NEVER had to do so renting cars, even a $90k BMW. 45 minutes to rent a trailer!!!!! Think I will rent from Uhaul again , NOT, no way, your customer service unfortunately has really deteriorated to unacceptable

You need More employees at the counter and PLEASE smile and have more than a monotone voice. When I dropped off my rental, there was one associate and 5 people in line. Plus it about 95 degrees in the store. I stood in line for 20 minutes, never moving an inch. There should be communication between the associate and the customers. For example “thank you for your patience.” Something other than a death stare and no engagement. Finally the General Manager came in the fro t door and said “whose van is that?” When I responded “mine”, he demanded “KEYS!”. He wasn’t friendly or personable. I think I’m giving you my business, at least fake that you are sincere. He did, however, wish a good day but that was more habit and sincerity. When I rent from this location, the service is usually outstanding. Not this time. Maybe I won’t know either and change rental companies. I also did the preregistration online so it would move quicker when picking up my rental. Nope. Not at all. It was just as long.

Uhaul staff did not seem to understand the app's capabilities, even encouraged not using it. Tried to use app to check in was told not to because "app was dumb". I then observed another customer check in using app, employees were genuinely confused as to how that customer was able to check in without their assistance. The application then had trouble uploading my driver's license. Also, location was "out of gas" when I picked up my truck.

I don’t agree with the pricing of U-Haul transport trailers. If you are dropping off at the same location the fee is not that bad. I myself dropped of the trailer roughly 500 miles away. This caused me to have a mandatory 4 day rental period. I only needed it for the day, but they could not charge me a day price. Returned it 24 hours after I rented it and still was charged the 4 day price. The only reason that I rented it was because it was the only option to transport my other vehicle. Next time I will pay a transport company to deliver my vehicle. Comes out the to roughly the same price without the hassle of stress on your vehicle and no need to load or unload. Will not be using U-Haul again.

9 am reservation. Arrived early, 8:45. Stood in line in office for 25 minutes--half the time no one was even at the desk. Various employees would wander in, stare at all of us in line, and wander out. Finally made it to the desk; only took 3-4 minutes to process the reservation. Head out to pick up trailer. 20 minutes of sitting by the trailer waiting for one of seven or eight employees standing around to help. Finally found a manager who said none of those standing-around-employees could help because they were doing maintanence. Fortunately, one of them overheard our conversation and came over and hooked up the trailer. I hope he's not in trouble for violating U-Haul culture by being helpful!
