I was contacted the day before my reservation and informed that I had to go to a different location far out of my way. We drive 45 minutes to the location only to find it to be closed. Called the original location and they had no idea why I was sent to a new spot. Overall it cost me 1 1/2 hours of my time, fuel money to go out of my way. Absolute waste of my time. I will be contacting Uhaul today to see if I can obtain some reimbursement for my inconvenience and costs!

I haven’t rented a U-Haul truck from here in at least 15 years, the experience and the store is exactly the same. How is it possible not to take a few steps forward in 15 years? It’s not terrible, it’s just antiquated. I didn’t use the app to do mobile pickup or anything, but judging by the clerk at the counter that went down in the morning anyhow and probably wasn’t working. Also you still had to get the keys from him anyhow. Also they have 1 person in the office at 8:30 on a Saturday morning. I realize the business needs to make money, but your first impression leaves a lot to be desired. That said, I’ll be back.

I would only recommend as it's the closest facility in the Saugus area. Then I was charged and extra $5.00 dollars because they said I used 6 extra moving pads,,, I ordered 12, 6 in 1 bag 6 in the truck. Not good, I know it's only $5.00 dollars but seriously.

The person in charge refuse to left the truck in Weymouth so he said axplicit that I have to dipped the car same place I rent, so for that charge me 1 more day and more miles returning to the place and also the uber to go back to Weymouth, not like your post that I can dropped when I want, bad experience for first time

I had a very unpleasant experience. The manager at the location was very rude and dismissive. The U-Haul system was down across all of the stores, as I had to visit multiple stores due to a lack of communication between stores regarding the abilities of employees. I could tell the manager was overwhelmed due to these issues; however, it reflected poorly on my experience. I was later informed that the hitch on my U-Haul was poorly installed by my drop-off location and could have caused serious issues. I would not go back to this location.

I have used this location before so knew it would provide excellent service at a great price. Everything met expectations and the trailer I rented worked exactly as needed. Friendly service, great equipment and a very reasonable price. Web reservation was easy too. I would recommend U-Haul Saugus to anyone.

I rented a 20 foot truck, this one had 122000 miles and was not well maintained. The steering was so loose it was dangerous to drive. Also, it only had ¼ a tank of gas. What happened to getting one filled with gas so I just had to refill it. Not knowing how much I would need, I filled the tank but only used a ¼ of the tank. I gave Uhaul over 12 gallons of gas costing me $48 dollars. If this is your policy, I won’t be renting from you again.

The only thing I would suggest is the on duty store manager could have used some help. I happen to be first in line of 4 waiting to be helped.

Truck breaks badly, low pressure at start and sterling is not good might need alignment. Also charged extra 2 gallons extra gas even though I have the picture at return showing that the level is same as when picked up

The one gentleman that provided the rental was the same on my return. Good guy, very helpful , BUT U-Haul as a company should have two people there at all times. As a retired automotive professional, I would never allow one technician to work under a car, by himself for Safety reasons. Who would be there to help in an emergency? Many years ago at another repair facility that allowed one of their techs to work on a vehicle after hours was found under a car "dead". Many insurance company's would not allow a claim under these circumstances. Sorry, just wanted to address my concern from my Many years of Automotive management. Keep up with the Great Service !

To make sure they get equipment ready for use. I made a reservation for a 20’ truck at 1600 for 2000 pickup. Upon getting to U-Haul for my pickup it said equipment was not assigned to my order. Waited 35 minutes on the phone to get told they do not have a 20’ truck I needed to swap to a 15’. After returning my truck I was charged $210 for an appliance dolly that was not in the truck no was ever used due to not having any equipment assigned to my order. Tried calling customer service and they are “reviewing” my issue to refund me. I have not received a refund yet and severely overcharged. Never getting a U-Haul again after this.

The service member never came out after sitting for several minutes in the 24 hour return area I had to go in side to get his attention After he did come out to help me unload my trailer, it was the normal good service that I’m accustomed to I did have a problem as my email told me I was to return the trailer at a different location, which I traveled towards. Once I realize that that location was far away. I called U-Haul to confirm my drop off location and Saugus Massachusetts. Even though my drop off location on the email paperwork set another city. I did follow up the next day to explain that they made a mistake, sending me to the wrong location that was on the paperwork. The person who helped me called me back later that day, and agreed that there was a mistake made so I was not charging an extra day and for my troubles I received a $50 credit so I do truly believe that that was the right move and I think that Customer surface person to look into it and to give me the outcome that I received as I’m sure that this was not a normal standard procedure

The trailer was well maintained but not swept and dirty inside. We swept before we put in the furniture. Easy fix. Staff is efficient , well prepared and helpful.

Everything was great. Right side view mirror did keep turning the opposite direction (kept turning to the left by itself) and the right window was also pretty hard to roll down. Things that can be seen as minor but are extremely annoying in certain moments. Everything else was great though. Service, the vehicle’s cleanliness, everything besides the above was perfect. Very solid 9/10.

My equipment was returned but the return was was not filed till the next day

First truck i was assigned battery was dead. So sales rep gave me keys to a different one that was dirty in the front and back. Then decided to charge me a cleaning fee? Perhaps they should check vehicles before just giving keys to customers and charging them for a mess they didn't make
