I am disputing the refueling charge applied to my rental, as it appears to be incorrect. I drove a total of 39 miles but was charged for 8 gallons of fuel. A 15-foot truck typically averages around 10 miles per gallon, which would indicate expected usage of approximately 4 gallons—not 8. At $5.50 per gallon, this results in an overcharge of roughly $22. Please review this charge and issue the appropriate correction promptly. If needed, I can provide supporting details, but the discrepancy is clear based on standard fuel consumption. Scum bag move. UHaul Saugus is by far the best location. Their trucks are always clean and well maintained. I consistently rent UHaul trucks and this is my first choice. The staff is very helpful and honest and it’s a great location right off the highway.

you charged me for the insurance when i said no which i believe to be against the law and the truck reaked like stale cigarettes!!

Overall the trailer wasn't bad. However, the trailer light connector had exposed wiring which poked me. Might need a new wire. Also, the trailer was not available/returned to the location by my initial rental time of 1030. The trailer was returned just before 1115 the morning I rented it and was going to either have to go to another location in Salem to get what I had reserved or take a smaller trailer which would not have been big enough for what I was hauling.

I am a long term client and rent there at least monthly and sometime weekly. Staff has always been professional. However, this time I was given a trailer whose tire was a retread, which stripped of itself on the highway. Roadside assistance was called and fed me false information for over 8 hours during the overnight. Tow truck arrived literally nine hours after breaking down. Then Uhaul charged me fees for 3 more days from a different location, because RA chose to send the failed trailer there( after it was out of my possesion) . I am still out of pocket for 200 dollars a week later and being told I need to address this with the out of state location where a third party towed the trailer to.

I was contacted the day before my reservation and informed that I had to go to a different location far out of my way. We drive 45 minutes to the location only to find it to be closed. Called the original location and they had no idea why I was sent to a new spot. Overall it cost me 1 1/2 hours of my time, fuel money to go out of my way. Absolute waste of my time. I will be contacting Uhaul today to see if I can obtain some reimbursement for my inconvenience and costs!

I haven’t rented a U-Haul truck from here in at least 15 years, the experience and the store is exactly the same. How is it possible not to take a few steps forward in 15 years? It’s not terrible, it’s just antiquated. I didn’t use the app to do mobile pickup or anything, but judging by the clerk at the counter that went down in the morning anyhow and probably wasn’t working. Also you still had to get the keys from him anyhow. Also they have 1 person in the office at 8:30 on a Saturday morning. I realize the business needs to make money, but your first impression leaves a lot to be desired. That said, I’ll be back.

I would only recommend as it's the closest facility in the Saugus area. Then I was charged and extra $5.00 dollars because they said I used 6 extra moving pads,,, I ordered 12, 6 in 1 bag 6 in the truck. Not good, I know it's only $5.00 dollars but seriously.

The person in charge refuse to left the truck in Weymouth so he said axplicit that I have to dipped the car same place I rent, so for that charge me 1 more day and more miles returning to the place and also the uber to go back to Weymouth, not like your post that I can dropped when I want, bad experience for first time

I had a very unpleasant experience. The manager at the location was very rude and dismissive. The U-Haul system was down across all of the stores, as I had to visit multiple stores due to a lack of communication between stores regarding the abilities of employees. I could tell the manager was overwhelmed due to these issues; however, it reflected poorly on my experience. I was later informed that the hitch on my U-Haul was poorly installed by my drop-off location and could have caused serious issues. I would not go back to this location.

I have used this location before so knew it would provide excellent service at a great price. Everything met expectations and the trailer I rented worked exactly as needed. Friendly service, great equipment and a very reasonable price. Web reservation was easy too. I would recommend U-Haul Saugus to anyone.

I rented a 20 foot truck, this one had 122000 miles and was not well maintained. The steering was so loose it was dangerous to drive. Also, it only had ¼ a tank of gas. What happened to getting one filled with gas so I just had to refill it. Not knowing how much I would need, I filled the tank but only used a ¼ of the tank. I gave Uhaul over 12 gallons of gas costing me $48 dollars. If this is your policy, I won’t be renting from you again.

Truck breaks badly, low pressure at start and sterling is not good might need alignment. Also charged extra 2 gallons extra gas even though I have the picture at return showing that the level is same as when picked up

The one gentleman that provided the rental was the same on my return. Good guy, very helpful , BUT U-Haul as a company should have two people there at all times. As a retired automotive professional, I would never allow one technician to work under a car, by himself for Safety reasons. Who would be there to help in an emergency? Many years ago at another repair facility that allowed one of their techs to work on a vehicle after hours was found under a car "dead". Many insurance company's would not allow a claim under these circumstances. Sorry, just wanted to address my concern from my Many years of Automotive management. Keep up with the Great Service !
