Trucks should be given to customers with a full tank of gas. I returned the truck with more gas than was in it when it was picked up and was still charged $11 for gas. The trucks are advertised as $19.95 a day yet with insurance and roadside assistance, etc. I ended up paying $145. That's a huge difference from the advertisement.

They are trying to claim damage to the truck I rented and have charged me for it. I caused no such damage. I can only assume they had done an inadequate inspection before allowing it to go out. A good policy would be for a manager or an employee to do an inspection with the customer at the beginning.

Did not expect final bill to be so much higher than the estimate! Also, I used the fuel gauge you gave to replace the gas used, I put in more than your gauge suggested and you still charged me for extra gas! But you would have not refunded me if I went over your estimate!!! This hardly seems fair! The Best resolution would be for you to rent the vehicle out on full so it can be returned on full! Hopefully I will not need to rent a truck again. Staff was excellent though!

Brought back uhaul with over the gas indicated and was still charged. The bill stayed gas was two gallons below. Will look elsewhere for more a more honest company.

You need more of a selection. I had to use a trailer that I didn't want because they didn't have the one I ordered. The trailer without gate is a poor design, The back entrance is too narrow to load anything big!

Put an extra warning when a location for rental is not the location which was requested during the search. (I thought I was ordering from Mill Hall, PA U-Haul, when, in fact, the website moved me to the State College, PA location because I ordered a certain size truck which was not available from Mill Hall. I had no idea about this until I went to Mill Hall to pick it up and it wasn't there...Then I read the confirmation email which told me it was a State College.)

I shave dealt with U Haul for decades and continue to rent a storage at Mechanicsburg PA But a this location the firdt time I rented they had recorded a false amount of gas in the vehicle and I ended up paying an extra $40 in gas that they never returned to me though I had photographed with time the gas problem to show it occurred. This time I had rented a couple weeks a van and then was notified to return it the next day. Swung they were. Getting too many phone calls about me. They did not explain but it was because I had some of my cats riding with me. This is called “cancel Culture@ tactics and the phone calls were solicited by local so called rescue groups whom I am in litigation with. I am thoroughly disgusted with this U Haul for caving in to them and not thinking through what they must be doing. I am hoping to find other rentals to work with in the future, though I have been a customer if U Haul fir decades.

The app is awful, and hard to use, and lacking clarity (scan barcode for location? seriously it is on a piece of paper we just luckily had kept?) The variance in charges just in town are frustrating, because you have to search over and over to compare prices, ($1 a mile? Or 181 miles for free? ). People who have to rent a truck are already immensely stressed, and UHaul corporate doesn't seem to care about that very much. I will say our local, established, UHaul _people_ are pretty good to deal with. But gosh, the whole experience is draining.

Truck pulled hard to the right and cabin had odor of gas/exhaust fumes. Driving 1300 miles wasn't pleasant, but that's what you expect from U Haul. They must have had 30 trucks…maybe test them before renting. I didn't have time to get another.

I made sure my truck was swept and as clean as when I picked it up. I was still charged a $25 cleaning fee. I guess this is an easy way to gouge customers for an extra $25 assuming many won't check their email receipts.

I was charged for fuel even though I filled the tank to the level it was at when I picked up the truck. I had to fight and submit pictures to get a refund that will take a week to hit my account. Horrible business practice.

When we took the truck, the fuel was low, that it was written on the paper. We returned the truck with the same fuel, and we were charged extra money for that. We returned as it was. Why did you charge us?!

I would definitely suggest checking the level of gas before you give the vehicle to another person. When I received the van, the highlighted area that states how much gas should be in the tank was inaccurate. Other than that, superior customer servoce and easy return! I loved how easy it was just taking pics of the van! Great return feature!!! Thank you!

My overall experience with Uhaul in general has been poor, ever since getting our move/Ubox booked back in April of this year. Most likely won't ever use again unless it's strictly just a day rental for a truck and even then I am skeptical. There seems to be extreme lack of communication within the entire company. And your website is not user friendly in the slightest. The physical location of this Uhaul also had some internal communication errors that led to my reservation of ubox drop off being canceled and then postponed. And I was still charged $200 which I think should have been completely waived but I don't have the energy to even fight it at this point. The only saving grace was Jeff who was extremely friendly and reliable, and Mary from the Harrisburg office who called me directly. I'm sure others have had great experiences and that's awesome but for me it's a hard pass on utilizing Uhaul in the future.

Why do you charge $25 for light cleaning, such as vacuuming after getting some grass in the van? That's a bit steep. I've never even been charged this after returning rental vehicles with sand and mud in the car

The gas gauge was higher at drop-off than when I picked it up. At drop off, I showed the picture of the gas gauge at pick up, and he said I returned it with more gas, too. After I left, I think it's extremely unfair that I was charged an extra $21 for gas. This does not seem like a fair policy.

I inadvertently called into the national center who refused to tell me if my local U Haul had the trailer that I wanted. After much back and forth, when he wanted my cell phone number and email, I gave him our zip code and asked: "just tell me if that trailer is there." He could not, or would not, answer me. No way I am dealing with the national call center again. The local U Haul guys were great

When completing the rental request the agent should inform the customer that a pre-travel examination of the vehicle towing equipment is needed. Luckily I had already towed something with UHAUL so I didn't need to do that. But no one suggested that on the phone call.

The dashboard was dirty/dusty, there were ashes in the ash tray. I'm sure there is an exhaust leak on the passenger side of the engine. I was surprised that there was no walk around with myself and the sales associate to list damage present at the beginning of the rental as there is when renting a car. Also, when turning sharply, there is a popping sound coming from the steering. In the cargo area, the hand truck and dolly were not secured, just rolling around. The sales associate did assist me with checking the tow dolly lights.

I was told by the person on the phone when making my reservation, that UHAUL was going to give me an additional 75-100 miles free form my trip and it was never given to me, also she never put my insurance to the bill and I asked the pickup time to be different which was never changed.
