Staff was really friendly and doing their best to work under the situation. The biggest issues is the space. The lot is really tight and not much parking for customers (had to park across the busy highway and walk across). I waited in line for 30 minutes to pick up my online order because they were understaffed (second issue) 1 person doing transactions and 1 person handling equipment. Staffing more people would be beneficial to the customer experience especially during the busy move months/times.

I'm not sure who's at fault, but the truck I reserved for that day, at that location was not available. I was told by a customer service representative that logistically it's impossible to reserve a specific truck. I had to take a 10ft truck instead of the 15ft truck I reserved. Thankfully the 10ft truck worked out, but I'm very disappointed that no apology was given by the UHaul representative.

I returned a trailer around 9:30pm, that was due before midnight. I tried repeatedly to use the app as instructed to verify the return, with no success. I kept getting a message that location services were not communicating with my browser on on my phone, but the service was turned on... I couldn't complete the verification process. I tried to call, repeatedly that evening and the following morning, but could not get past being on hold. Im extremely disappointed to have been charged for after hours return, when i tried and tried to do it correctly. Other customers returned a small truck behind me while I was trying to complete my verification. I assume their return could confirm my return time, not to mention the many cameras on site. I repeat that I'm extremely disappointed. I gave this location an excellent rating because other than this my experience there has always been excellent. I wish you would make this right. I gave

1) The person who helped me wasn't wearing a mask when I arrived nor when I returned the equipment. I was surprised and disappointed. 2) The truck key didn't want to turn and the person who helped me said it was because the door wasn't closed hard enough (which sounded crazy to me). He slammed the door and got it to start. Later, when I turned it off, the key didn't turn to let me start it again until I spent a few minutes jiggling the key. I was afraid to stop for gas because of the need to turn it off, but was able to get it to start after several tries. 3) I explained the situation to the person (same person as who helped me in the morning) who checked me back in but he was trying to tell me that I should have turned a bent key a different direction. Again, I can understand the rationale, but it didn't seem to be a satisfying explanation AFTER the fact. And he didn't seem to recall what he had told me in the morning when I picked up the truck.

The truck was very dirty. Wiper was not good at all. As if it was never . The 12 volt adapter does not work. During the long journey, my phone was not charged and was turned off. This was very annoying. In general, everything was terrible. I will investigate other alternative companies. I don't want to use uhaul anymore.

Cargo van smelled like cigarette smoke and the ‘oil change needed' alert came up when first turned on vehicle. Employee said they would handle when van returned. Really annoying that the online pre-check in that touts “saves you time” actually doesn't. Was told the online information is wiped out, so what's the use of pre-check in? I had to provide the same information all over again at the pick-up location. That said, the guy at the register was nice and answered all my questions. No issue there, just with the online check-in, very disappointing.

I can't honestly think of anything, the rental unit was clean, the retail office was very clean and well kept up, the staff and management were outstanding and very helpful.

I was not pleased that the 60 pads I reserved back in May were not available for my 6/30 move when I picked up my truck on 6/29. Only half were available at this location. The guy in charge made a call to another location that had some, but we had to drive OURSELVES to N. Atherton in the 20 minutes before it closed to get them. I was actually afraid something negative would happen to my reservation, so I even went in on Wednesday, 6/24 and spoke with Tanner Dishong, the general manager, about my reservation and to buy a lock and additional rope. He never once mentioned the possibility of a pad shortage and told me we were good to go. I was pleased the employee on 6/29 gave us the pads for free but not pleased we had to go through the initial lurch to our stomachs and INSIST we needed all 60 pads and had to mention Tanner's name, and had to adjust our very tight time schedule to pick up the pads that were supposed to already be there. Moving is stressful enough--not having what I ordered and reserved two months prior made this even more stressful. How are we supposed to plan for a move when we can't get the pads we ordered??? On a positive note, we were happy to be given a new 26' truck for this move.

Nothing other than taking the OTHER location on Atherton in State College offline. They are rude and rough and don't follow Covid protocols. The guys on Benner Pike are great, easy to talk to and give good advice! Have gone there several times before. Will do it again.

Fuel level less compared to contract. Returned the truck at 9.29am. Contract due at 9.30am. The staff overthere said, just leave your key. Got email saying I returned at 9.54am. Guess what, I got charge for another whole day! Call for refund, no sign will get it soon ;(
