I originally called 1-800-Uhaul and made my reservation with an operator over the phone. My original reservation was simply from State College, Pa to Boca Raton, Fl. I asked if my employer would be able to pay with a CC over the phone since they were in Fla and I was in Pa. and I would have a company CC until I was an official employee when I arrived in Fla. They said yes, no problem. When reserving at 1-800-uhaul you don't get assigned a specific pick up or drop off location. I later decided I wanted a specific pick up location and drop off location so I called them back. No problem, they gave me the specific pick up location I asked for. When I asked about selecting a specific drop off location, they said "don't worry about it, someone will call you the day before pick up and you can set it then". When my employer called 1-800-uhaul to pay for the truck, he was told "can't do that, he can pay when I arrive in Fla" WTF? I couldn't imagine that was correct so I called back and after 30 minutes on hold, Viola! I was able to pay with a CC over the phone!!!! Now, All I have to do is wait for the day before pick up to finalize everything. Nobody called. I called the local State College location directly and I ended up picking it up a day later - no problem. When I picked it up they said "your drop off is in Boca Raton" I said I want to change that to Deerfield Beach (they neighbor each other). Again they said "don't worry about it, as long as it's within the given mileage allowance you can drop it off at any location." Off I went. WRONG. When I picked it up, they said the fuel tank was full. NOT. On my way home, I noticed it was only at a half tank. ($60-$70 worth). I took a pic of the gauge that showed both the fuel level and the odometer and a bunch of uhaul overlays so they could confirm that I had only gone 10 miles since pick up and I certainly didn't use 1/2 tank of gas in 10 miles (40 gallons to a tank). I called and asked if I could just email the pic... Nope. No Way. You have to come back. (20 miles round trip + 45 minutes of my pissed off time.). I go back, talk to Tanner the manager, he said ok, got it. I asked "do you want to to look at the gauge?" "no, I believe you". WHAT????!!!! I just all the way back for NOTHING!!!??? I then presented him with the paper copy of my contract and asked if he would change it (there is a fuel gauge on the contract where they highlight they beginning fuel level and mine had been highlighted as full) he said "nah.. don't worry about it. I already changed it in the system and also added a comment". Finally, I'm off and on the road. I drive from PA to S. Fla in 24 hrs. I'm miserable. There is no cruise control so you literally have to hold your foot in the air for the entire trip. Anyway, I arrive at a drop off location in Deerfied Beach and hand over the truck. Mileage is 150 less than allowance, truck looks fine than the guy at the counter says "well, let me see how much they are going to charge you for dr

Good service, friendly, easy to find. Recommendation: Expand customer parking space at this location for interacting with the staff on contract, paying bills, etch.

Include U-Haul policy on cleaning vehicles along with the other information (insurance, return time, fuel replacement, etc.) given at pick up.

Great location. Needs no changes

Trailer had grease all over the floor. I had to get grease cleaner and spray to clean trailer before I could use it. Other than that, everything was fine

This is by far the best Uhaul service in the State College area, way much better than those rude guys in North Atherton.

Curtis did a great job

The experience was great, truck worked well. The truck its self was a little beat up, and the check engine light was on. Other than that, checking out and back in was great!!!

I was charged $70 in gas even though I filled it up at the gas station right down the road. Even if I didn’t fill it up, there would have been no way to have a $70 gas bill when we only put 60 miles round trip on the truck. I called approximately 5 times to try to get a hold of someone the same day and no one ever returned my call since I was forwarded to he Uhaul answering service. A few days later, with no resolution, my husband called customer service himself and requested that the general manager reach out to me regarding the situation. We eventually got refunded the $70, but I am still rating my experience poor because it is now 2 weeks later, and I have yet to receive a phone call from anyone to apologize for the mistake. I am patient and understanding but as a retail manager myself, I find that this kind of customer service is completely unacceptable and I would be horrified if anyone in my business treated customers as poorly as I have been treated.

Equipment was not at the confirmed location. I was not informed until arriving at the original confirmed location that it was at another site. This was a significant inconvenience, causing me additional time, mileage and fuel. It also left me without help to load the equipment because of the scheduling conflict it created.

This was my second time renting a car hauler from this location. Everything from reservation to pick up then drop off went smoothly. The staff is always friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Will deal with them again in the future.

ramp tough to get locked into place when putting back under truck. takes 3-4 hard slams to get it in. other than that, customer service and ease of use were all awesome.
