ALEXANDER GHave the equipment that I reserved. There were multiple people there that reserved a dolly but wasn't available. I reserved the equipment weeks in advance, how hard is it to have it available? The guy working there also mumbled so much I couldn't understand him half the time. I get you don't want to be there but don't make it difficult for the customer too. There was also toe nail clippings in the uhaul. Disgusting.

If I'm supposed to return the truck by 9pm,and I have to do the checkout by myself, is the time spent to do that part of my time? Is Kate return 5,10 or 7 minutes post agreed time or time on the dot?
Oluwatosin HThe discrepancy between a walk-in and mobile pickup needs to be addressed. A reserved vehicle can’t be allocated to more than one individual. I literally waited in line for about 30 minutes, having made my booking to pick up in person 2 days before, only to get to my turn and hear someone had just picked up the same vehicle cos he did a mobile pickup. If not for the customer service personnel, Musa's experience, I would have been greatly disappointed. You can do better in this regard. Thank you
ABDULLAHI YThe wait times were insanely long, I was told I couldn’t have the truck for as long as I reserved it for online. I was told the max was 8 hours and I needed a 24 hour reservation. I was told I would have to make a new reservation and pay for it all over again. I was also double charged for the rental.
Milina CThe problem was that we made a reservation to have the vehicle for the weekend and they said the policy from corporate is that they were only one day rentals now. No one informed us. We were forced to take a box truck which we were not comfortable with. There was junk in it and the side view mirror would not stay in place. It cost us more because of gas and tolls.
Alaina HIt was cramped and I dropped off after hours. So there wasn't personnel. But, the location was full and the lot was a little confusing.
Justin GI paid about 104 for a 15ft box truck and 98 for a van.... I don't understand. When i booked online it said 45 for the van but when I asked for assistance once I got to the store it went up to 98...

Zhuang JWhile we did not have any issues with U-Haul of University City, we did have a terrible experience with U-Haul. Long story short, this was the the third U-Haul location we worked with for the same reservation. We spent 2 hours trying to get our U-Haul, even though we'd made the reservation several days before.

DEBORAH PI reserved the truck a few days before and I'm glad I did because Saturday was a very busy day. Location was easy to find. The pick-up process was easy and the staff was nice. Drop off was even easier. Thank You.

caitlin nI was unable to get the rental via mobile pick up no code was displayed and no video to demonstrate how to open lock was displayed. I did not have the rental and there was no one to help me even at corporate. The app registered that I had the vehicle when I didn't and there was no way to indicate I didn't have it. I chatted with virtual assistant who could not help me either. No one from the center even called once the store was open to verify anything. A terrible EXPERIENCE.

FRED HMy reservation meant nothing. I waited for an hour and a half only to basically have a new transaction conducted. I did not receive the truck I reserved but instead a larger one which caused considerable difficulty with parking and negotiating cramped city streets. It is not that I wouldn't recommend this location, but after using UHaul I will not use it again and will actively dissuade others from using UHaul in favor of renting vans from services like enterprise and Turo or trucks from alternative providers.
Hunter CAt pickup, the “system”’was “slow” and there was a line of 20 frustrated people. The app was also slow or unresponsive. At drop off, staff had two trucks blocking the return lane and even when they saw returning customers backed up in the street, unable to drive into the facility and return their vehicles (myself included), moved slowly and showed no regard or concern for customers who were needlessly inconvenienced.
CHRISTOPHER Hthe young man who assisted me with the rental was very efficient and polite. helped me to scan my driver license and hitch up. great! it was a bit difficult to back the trailer in upon return. it worked out.

Isaac CMy UHaul smelled so bad I had to spend thirty minutes to an hour cleaning it and I feel as though I should be compensated somehow for doing so.
Amilia RThe people working at this location were extremely friendly and helpful when things went wrong, but a lot of things went wrong. Engine failure, had to get on the phone with roadside assistance, got issued another truck, both trucks were pretty grimy and both trucks had NO GAS when I took them out. I had to immediately fill up both my original truck, AND my replacement truck.

ROY MI reserved the moving truck two months out and a day before I was to pick it up I was told I had to pick it up from a different location, clear across town. So I had to settle on a 10’ one compared to the 15’ I reserved. And to top it off, I requested 24 moving pads and I was told they had none. Sure did have pads to sell but none per my reservation. I was not even offered to use the ones they had for sale. U-Haul needs to take care of their customers. I did not even get compensated for the pads, just you can buy some. The last thing I was ask was to take a trailer with me , I am glad I did not do this , they way they treated me why would I ever help U-Haul ???

ISIS WGuy was an asshole at pickup. Didn’t show me where the truck was. Key was not in lock box
John GMobile app would not permit me to enter the truck's actual mileage, even though it was correct and re-checked several times. Counter agent advised to 'just ignore it', but there should be a way to override this so it actually records properly. Also, upon return there was no where to park the truck, and after I jockeyed it into the lot at another spot was told I needed to move it back to the inbound line.
KENNETH VVery cordial. The person who checked me in from Haiti has excellent customer service skills. He answered my questions without an attitude and took care of me.
ALDITH LI wish we didn't have to show proof of insurance on our primary vehicle. I don't walk around with that. That's not the location or local staff's fault, though.

CLAUDIO CI returned my rental and dropped the keys in the box before my allotted time was up. For some reason they still charged me the $20 after hours service fee. It's as if they only thought to process my equipment return when they got around to it and not based on the time I actually returned it.
Samantha PThe staff isn't the warmest. My biggest complaint this time though is that the truck smelled like wet dogs had been transported in it. I had to crack the windows to keep from smelling it. If I was moving furniture or something with cloth, that smell might have transferred. They should do a better job of sanitizing the van after use.

Harry WAfter hours so I can’t comment on staff helpfulness but will say yes because drop off felt simple. I would add more signage to one way entrance and exit, was hard to know when dark

SHARON LI had reserved a 2 wheel upright dolly. They were out at this location even though I had it reserved. They sent me to another location to get the dolly. Not terrible but not great either.
