Don't make us pay on mobile phones. It kept declining and we had to ask the counter person to do it through their terminal. Front counter person was very nice though. Also, the truck had no windshield fluid. Other than that it was fine.

Be sure the cabin is clean! And the 2 people for reference is ridiculous. The staff made it seem like these 2 people needed to answer the call before i could rent. It was 7 pm and i did not know who would answer? But then i put 2 people in and they didn't call them till later so i was annoyed and upset for nothing !

I would like to highlight your employee Amber at the Van Nuys location on 7610 Van Nuys Blvd. Amber was great and very personable. Great personality that made an impression with us and will definitely be coming back to this location. The truck was clean and worked well. The day was very windy and it drove well through it all. The cargo area was clean and large enough to pack a large L shaped couch. Although the app was glitchy and if it is necessary to use for check in then you need to boost the wifi or cell service in the area. Aside from that it was great!

Beyond unprofessional with horrendous customer service. To long of an experience to type out everything but to make a long story shorter… I rented a cargo van for one day at $19.95 and was charge $89 in van rental fees alone. This is more then it would have cost to have the van for 4 days. When I picked up the van it had a quarter tank of gas and was returned with a quarter tank of gas. I was charged a $44 fuel fee as well as a $30 gas penalty fee for not refueling the van to half a tank of gas even tho I picked it up with a quarter tank. My return was due at 3:00pm next day. I arrived at 3:00pm with the van to an empty U-Haul lot and no employees inside. After waiting and not having anyone to help me with my return I went on the website to return the van myself. At this point it was 3:15pm and since that's when I personally started my return because there was no one there to help me. That meant my return was now late according to them and I needed to be charged another days rental and insurance. That would have been $39.00 not including the additional insurance charge. I was still being charged $89 which again is more then it would cost to rent the van for 4 days. I had it for 1 day. Something I explained to the 2 employees at least 6-7 times. I thought it was ridiculous that they were going to charge me for a whole 2nd day with insurance when I was there at 3pm and there was no employees to help me but what can you do. Regardless, I told the 2 employees I'm willing to pay for the full 2nd day but I want someone to explain why I'm being charge $89 as if I've had the van for 4 days when I only had the van for just a day. I arrived at the U-Haul location at 3pm and it wasn't until 3:25pm when an employee finally emerged from the bathroom to “help” me. She was mumbling to herself and looked disheveled so already my expectations were low that she was going to solve my issue. Another “employee” emerged 10 minutes later. I say “employee” because he had no name tag, no U-Haul shirt on, just a casually dressed guy in a vans skateboarding T-shirt who looked like he just rolled out of bed. Instead of trying to be helpful and productive in helping out the situation he decided to personally attack my character. Saying stuff to me like “you think you're better then me because I work at U-haul” “I'm not your slave I don't need to help you with anything” “I'm sorry you have no power and control in your life” “how old are you because you're acting like you're 5 years old” and it keeps going. All this while smirking and looking at other customers who were there in the store while shaking his head trying to act like I was some crazy customer because I simply wanted someone to explain the charges that made no sense. It was a very odd and extremely bazar experience. I spent 45 minutes waiting for someone to explain to me why I was being charged 4 days for a 1 day rental and it ended with my charges being put on hold until Wednesday when I'm supposed to call the manager of that U-Haul location. Knowing that he probably hired the two employees who I spoke to that couldn't have been any more unprofessional and rude I decided to call customer service. I talked to 2 different people and they both understood exactly what I explained to them instantly. Both customer service phone reps told me there's no reason for them to be charging you $89 for a one day van rental. I see here you had the van for just barely over a day. An $89 charge would be equivalent to if you had the van for 4 days and even then it still would be under $89. Both said with the one day van rental and the miles I have here on your account this final amount is not accurate. They're over charging you. Everything I told the 2 employees they were now telling me the same exact thing. I explained everything the same way to the employees at this location at least 7-8 times and even after 45 minutes they still couldn't grasp it. Not only could they not grasp what I was telling them they weren't even trying to understand or listen to what I was saying. They were rude, unprofessional, arrogant, condescending, verbally abusive, etc. After I hung up with the final customer service rep who sent my issue to a regional manager I went in and told the employees that I resolved the issue and everything I was telling them was accurate and that both customer service reps confirmed I was being over charged. This was met with the 2 employees telling me “good for you I bet you feel really proud of yourself don't you?” “we really don't care” “this is harassment” “what you're doing is harassing us at this point” “leave our store we don't want you here” etc. I left that final interaction saying… I came in to let you 2 know because you had me in the store for 45 minutes feeling like I was the bad guy just because I wanted to understand why I was being charged so much. You treated a customer who just returned another 15' U-Haul rental at a different location and paid $600+ to the company who employees you like garbage. You personally attacked me for not wanting to be over charged and expressing that. You acted as if me expecting you to do the job you're being paid for meant I think I'm better then you. You purposely ignored me to help other customers before resolving my issue and then told the customers you were helping instead of me “don't mind this guy he thinks he's better then everyone else.” I wanted to let you know that everything I was explaining to you was accurate and you should have been helping me instead of treating me the way I was treated. Hopefully in the future you'll be more professional and treat your customers better. They both just laughed and smirked and told me to leave the store again which I did. Hopefully the regional manager will help me with the issue but as of now I'm still expected to pay $250 for what should have been a $140 rental at most. This U-Haul location also locked my U-Haul account so I now not only can't see the info for this rental but also my pervious $600+ rental that was paid and had no issues with. I worked in retail for 10 years. I know how you're supposed to treat customers. I also know what an unruly, unreasonable and angry customer is. How me wanting to understand my charges and expecting a U-Haul employee to help me understand that turned into what it did is hard for me to comprehend. If you want to be over charged and then be treated like garbage when you kindly ask why you're being overcharged 5 stars for this place. If you want a professional experience with respectful employees who understand they're working for a company and getting paid to do so. Avoid this place for sure. If I could give it -5 starts I would. I also never write reviews but this experience was so incredibly vile and disgusting I feel obligated to in hopes someone else can avoid what I experienced.

The online process needs to be improved. The process of verification does not work properly and when calling customer service they were not helpful. The onsite employees were amazing in helping me. If it wasn't for them I would never use uhaul again.

I rent from uhaul every weekend, and every time I purchase the 10 dollar insurance. On 11/04/2022 and return the car on 11/06/2022, when I went to return the car, i met one employee who was new and she didn't know what she was doing, and there was a guy with a black hat, and long nail painted black he said thet4 was a part missing from the car, which was suppose to be covered under the 10 dollar insurance, and the same guy that had long finger nails, he charge me 150 dollar, and charged for oil and tire repair fee. When he told me that there is going to be a charge of 10 or 15 dollars. Bad bad service, I rent cargo van every weekend and every weekend I spend about 150 bucks on average. Immediately fire that individual, that individual is a huge liability for the company

You have red flags in this store. I got to the store, and the gentlement was helping a customer I was waiting for him to finish w him. when he starts helping me another worker comes and they arguing in front of me like I'm not there. not professional and then they give a trust w no gas . and got charge for having a 1/4 of gas. I'm not happy if someone can call me I will appreciate

17' uhaul truck only got 1 1/2 miles TO THE GALLON OF GAS!!!! I put $28 in gas and only got 39 miles out of it!!! RIDICULOUS!!! Obviously not maintained properly to be running that poorly. Plus, I paid for 29.95 FOR THE DAY and they charged me extra bringing it back the same day before they closed!!! What a ripoff!!! I cannot recommend using this UHaul at the Van Nuys location at Van Nuys Blvd. & Saticoy.

The customer service was fantastic from top to bottom! The truck no so much....the engine light was on along with the hitch indicator that wouldn't turn off truck looked dusty and smelled sweaty on top of really feeling and driving as if it were on it's last legs. It got the job done so hey...what can we really expect now a day? Again the uhaul agents were great and made the transaction very smooth and seamless!!!

I had to bring back two hrs later kept turning off. Had to get another truck from someone else and it looks like animal hair behind seat and had was a little bit under 3,/4. I took a picture of dash when I got into truck and it took me about a hr to CK in to get the truck.

When I picked up the truck the Gentleman helping my husband and I, was very helpful even when I dropped off the truck we had another gentleman helping us and he too was very helpful. The only issue we had is before dropping off the truck I had to call in to let them know I was running over a little over our drop off time but we were on our way. The FEMALE we spoke to had a very bad attitude and said if we didn't have the truck back on time she was going to put us on their “HOT LIST” even after explaining we were on our way but we were stuck in traffic but as we got a little to the location I called again and this time spoke to Andrew who was very understanding and helpful and told us not to worry about what his co-worker told us and apologized for her being RUDE and for us to ask for him when we go there so he can help us. But other than that we had a good rental experience just the Female who had a bad attitude she should of stayed home if she doesn't like her JOB!!!

Ive been renting once a month for several years at this location. Ever since mid-summer things have been below anyones standards. Trucks are not clean, tires need attention warning lights are on for tire monitoring, sometimes the truck is not the same one Im supposed to approve. Ever since you took away personal involvement and do it all on the phone I find it difficult. I've been given a truck with a nail in the tire, another on the same day with a broken mirror and on the same day a truck that did not match the approval truck, which somedays has upside down pics on it!

at the counter someone was trying to get a job at U-Haul and was not a customer there was another employ working there that could have explain how to apply for the position. had to wait! this U-Haul location required a photo id not at the Northridge location? no prewarning that i was going to need my password or have to have a log in account? the truck was dirty need to be wash and had to sweep it out before loading.

Had to spend the first half hour of my reservation cleaning both the cab and the truck because it was left very dirty. The damages to the vehicle were not marked with X tags so I had to take extra time to document them to not get charged for it.

They were very rude to me I was told that I was able to keep the van till 7:00 because I called in on an extension the first time and then when I went over there to pay them cash they were upset because they said that it was supposed to be there earlier after I was told that it was not supposed to be there by 7:00 and then when I wanted to get another one extended they wouldn't let me they made it look like none of the cards were able to accept when there was money in there I believe they punched in the wrong numbers

My experience was very desapointe The trailer we rent broke down in the middle of no where on Nevada unfortunately they take 6 hrs for a towing truck to arrive I spoke with a dozen of representatives and the last thing we want is to get are money back I hope someone call me back

I used mobile check-in and marked the unit as not so clean with candy and change on the floor. I even took a pic. I left it on the floor, and when I turned it in to say it should be cleaned (I didn't pick the candy or coins up myself), it added a $25 cleaning charge to the app. Was I suppose to clean other people's dirt up or be charged myself?
