my opinion of facility is good. However, the facility I originally reserved with - North Hills - left me with a bad opinion. I reserved a truck 3-4 days in advance and when I got there my reserved time of 10:30 they told me that it would not be back till 2. They should have called me with that information and made a reservation at another facility

No one checked the fluids and safety of the truck I rented. 3 quarts low on oil, quart low transmission fluid.

I reserved for the north ridge location online. I got a call the day before saying the 20ft truck would not be available there. I then got charged the extra mileage for the van nuys location. The haul reps should have driven it to northridge or I should not have been charged the milelage.

One the stuff person called me super disrespectful last day when I was going to return the truck saying that I need to take the truck back. I asked her if I can keep it for another day and she responded back to me with a big NO. I asked her please I need the truck one more day and her answer was NO. I do not know how she can be a sale person with that attitude.

It would have been nice if someone had told/remind me to tie down the muffler of the car being towed to the body of the hvehicle to stop it from breaking, all cars are designed for the muffler system to flex, I knew this just didn't take it into consideration a few bungee cords would've tied it down nicely. Mine broke, no fault of Uhaul or their equipment, the road vibration from such a long drive did it, (2200 miles) if I ever have to do it again I'm going to make sure I do.

The entire experience during this reservation was a mess. Reserved a 20' truck for Saturday and was called Thursday to say no 20' truck was available. Was given a 15' truck But on Saturday morning we were told it had mechanical issues and needed to be picked up later. I had movers scheduled and junk people and could not rearrange them all so was sent to dispatch for a new location. Was being sent an hour away which was not acceptable. They finally gave me a 20' truck on Sunday. It caused great distress and inconvenience. If the movers couldn't have switched their apppintment with me I don't know what I would have done.

The employees were helpful, hard-working and as efficient as possible under the circumstance. I have no complaints about them. The problem is that your automatic check-in is hopelessly confusing, under-executed and frankly didn't work at all. Secondly, I came to that specific U-Haul location, miles out of my way, because the web site said "On site parking." This was very misleading since I had to remove my car from the property and find someplace to leave it for eight hours. (Fortunately I found a place.) All this took about an hour and a half just to pick up the truck. The move was ultimately successful but as the day began, it wasn't a very pleasing U-Haul experience. Just saying...

The manager on duty was extremely unprofessional, unaccommodating and lacking customer service skills. He wouldn't greet me, he ignored me when I spoke to him, he act is if he was above everyone and never lifted a finger to help. I notice he would bark orders at workers and customers a like. Waited 10+ min untill an employed showed up at the front desk, along with 4 other customers. As in, nobody was in there at all, it look like they were all outside cleaning vehicles. people could have robbed them blind! Very nice people and great speedy service! They just need to have someone in the showroom.

Worst experience I've had with any rental company; van was filthy, the place was understaffed, the attitude was indifferent, and I think it's disingenuous to advertise nineteen ninety five a day when in fact you charge almost a dollar a mile; just a very poor experience all around
