TED FIt took me 3 trips to 3 different location to rent the vehicle. The firs one did not have it available even though the app said it did. The second one had no one attending (out for lunch sign at 10:45 AM). Finally the Van Nuys one had it, but the trucks had NO GAS in them because it had been stolen overnight. The truck rattled and brakes were low. At least they gave me credit for the gas which I appreciate it. But will think it twice before renting with u-Haul again.

SALVADOR SI didn’t catch the guys name, younger skinny guy with an accent tried to square up with my friend and I after I suggested the gas was lower in the truck than indicated on the paper before I even took off. The guy told me “he works there, he knows better than me” and that they gave me more gas? I told him, the paper says there’s 7/8s a tank left, when I sit in the van it shows 3/4s full, I don’t want to get over charged on gas. The guy got majorly aggressive even threatening my life if I didn’t shut up. Until I started shouting back, he didn’t back away, several other employees broke up the confrontation, it was embarrassing and ridiculous to say the least. I will never rent from this location again.
COLIN GI had a really disappointing experience at this U-Haul location. The worker at the front desk who checked me in asked every man in line ahead of me if they wanted insurance, but when it was my turn, he added it automatically without asking. When I questioned why he didn’t ask me the same, he got defensive and seemed irritated for the rest of the interaction. I don’t know his name since he wasn’t wearing a name tag, but he had glasses and green eyes. After leaving, I had to return immediately because all the tires were extremely low and the tire sensors weren’t working. Even after that, I had to keep stopping along the way to refill the tires, which was a huge inconvenience and made my trip much longer than it should’ve been. When I asked how they could rent out a vehicle in that condition, the same staff member got annoyed and said, “If you want to cancel your reservation, we can do that.” The only positive part of the experience was Ben, who helped me when I returned the vehicle — he was kind, professional, and informative. Other than that, I will not be renting from this location again.
GENAVE DNo parking/This is the second time I've gotten a truck here, and the second time I've encountered rude behavior from the staff. The location is incredibly inconvenient.

fernando aI’m extremely disappointed with my service this time. I requested the U-Haul and reserved it to a location that was near me by time. The date came. My location had changed two times. And the location that I had to pick it up one was much further than my home. On I arrived the gentleman that was helping me. I had a bit of an attitude and was in a compassionate at all about me being upset. And then him putting the trailer on to the car. He was criticizing and laughing with another employee because I didn’t understand where he wanted me to park my truck so he could put it on. And then the return was even worse. It was my worst nightmare. It’s a good thing that I had somebody there with me to help me take off the trailer. And taking off was a nightmare it was so difficult to take off. By the time we got it off, we couldn’t even push it to the right spot. It kept rolling down and heading to the street. It’s a good thing we found wooden racks to hold up the wheels. Having to do this after hectic weekend was not something I planned for and I don’t know if I’d ever want to use U-HAUL again that’s how upset I am.

CHAD LUpon retrieving the rental truck from UHaul, I encountered a significant inconvenience. Upon inspection, I discovered that the fuel tank was empty. I promptly informed the attendant of this situation, requesting that he either refuel the vehicle or provide me with a replacement truck with sufficient fuel. The attendant informed us that they did not have any alternative trucks available, despite observing more trucks of the same size. However, he advised us to proceed with refueling the vehicle and assured me that I would be reimbursed for the fuel cost. Despite following his instructions, I incurred an additional expense of $57.56 in fuel. Upon returning the truck the same day, I utilized the truck for only five hours. The attendant IHEB B who assisted me only credited a portion of the fuel expenses incurred. Consequently, I ended up paying over $80 more than the amount I had spent on August 2025 when I rented a larger truck. The attendant’s explanation for the situation was unclear. I had previously informed him that it was unacceptable to rent a truck without fuel and requested that the customer refuel the vehicle. The attendant responded that he was not responsible for the previous renter’s actions and suggested that individuals may have stolen fuel from the truck. This situation was highly unusual, and I decided to leave the rental center and escalate my complaint to corporate. I recommend reviewing the surveillance footage and listening to the attendant’s inappropriate interactions. All of these incidents are attributed to a disorganized office environment. I have retained all the gas receipts as evidence of the refueling process. I am seeking a fair refund for the additional expenses incurred due to the rental of a smaller truck.

RUBEN CA lot of people keep U-Haul truck past the time they said they needed it. That’s why you guys take my card details down. I kept the truck 3-4 weeks. You guys certainly charged my card thousands. I didn’t complain. But now I’m not allowed to use U-Haul again?? Wouldn’t I be like main customer to use U-Haul because I paid with no issue for an entire month. I didn’t complain. This right here makes no sense to me.

And there was still an order left in the cabin when I got into drive it. A wall of stank greeted me at the door. overall the cab looked decent van performed well.

OLGA EThey sold me an adapter to connect to the trailer and they had difficulty making it work, and eventually suddenly it worked before I drove it to my house. Next day again I was checking the turn signal sometime it worked sometimes didn’t. It was very frustrating I had to keep juggling the adapter to make it work. I got tired of it and continued my drive 450 miles to Lake Tahoe from LA. Bottom line is U paid for something that didn’t work and also gave me tons of frustration.

JOSEPH CHorrible place. Lost 1 hr in line to get the truck. The workers at home were waiting. I had to pay the workers while I was waiting in the line. One person at the counter doing everything. Paperwork, then goes brings extra purchases. It is common sense for Saturday. The busiest day when everyone moves. Such a large location. Is it hard to have at least 2 people at the counter

ANA MA pizza box and other trash was left in the truck. We were not instructed to inspect the truck before leaving. By the time we received the text with link to document conditions and reached a point we could respond, the link expired. We were not told the blankets had to be returned. Furniture dollies were not available at the location. The staff were lazy and unhelpful.
