Employee Lemuel Smithen overcharged my debit card by over a $1000. Charge was supposed to be a total of $73.43. This was a complete inconvenience and I am currently struggling to pay bills because of the overcharge. This employee did not know what to do and was unable to assist me afterwards. Clean the truck before the next customer rents it. The interior of the cab of this truck was filthy and reeked of cigarette smoke. I spent 30 minutes cleaning the inside of the cab with bleach prior to using it.Wade A.

There was one man working there. He was very busy when I arrived but he PROMPTLY greeted me with a friendly tone and invited me to make myself comfortable while I waited for him. He told me exactly what he had to do before he would be able to help me and aproximately how long it would take. I almost laughed at his optimizim and set a time for how long I was willing to wait that far exceeeded his friendly guess. But I watched as he did exactly what he said he was going to do and come back to me exactly when he had predicted. He set about working up my order and had me out of there in about five minutes including the hookup where he told me twice everything I needed to do to load and unload my car from this trailer. I guess all he did not say was that I could return the trailer after hours. That would have been very helpful information since I very much needed to return the trailer that night during his off duty hours, but I did not ask about it so I cannot fault him for this. Over all, I would say this was the best transaction of the year for me and I came away feeling like a valued customer. But there is ONE thing that took away from this. When I arrived an hour early to bring the trailer back, because I had to be somewhere else at 0700, I noticed on the contract that if I did NOT check the equipment in myself, there would be a $20 penalty for this. I did what I was asked to do in the dark and somewhat scarey lot and jumped through the hoops set for me by your company rules. It was not easy at all, including taking a photo in the dark with a phone that had not been charged since yesterday. This rather spoiled what up to that point was a totally wonderful experience that I credit fully to this one man who clearly loves his job. I will be back. I want nothing more than to do buisiness with this man again, but I hope you will consider changing your message on the contract where you end the deal threatening to punish anyone who does not do a good job of checking in the equipment for you. When I had made an appointment for 8:30 p.m. and just because you're online system was no longer available although your website says it is I had to come in early but there was no compensation for that The truck was dirty as in trash Yet it was expected for the truck to be clean when I returned it which it was I wanted to upgrade to a bigger truck which they had plenty around that area but none of them were available yet none of them moved I was not told that the truck I rented no longer had a ramp and although I didn't rent your smallest moving truck a ram should still be there I feel that your company failed me completely I should be compensated for all the inconvenienceAngel C.

She was extremely rude. Hopped into our car without asking. Didn't hook the trailer up. Didn't have any tools to help get the trailer ready. There was trash in the trailer that she didn't take out. She LOUDLY complained about us being a pain in the ass the whomever she was talking to on the phone because she â€œcouldn't get to the bankâ€ by 11:30. The mileage I use was 80 miles and they were charging me 129 miles. they also quoted me a 17' truck for $ 29 and when I went to return it they said it was $39 a day. Lack of comunicatiin. They helped me out but after 2 hours of my time. Never again am I using u-Haul.Jose J.

When I received the uhaul truck the odometer read a different number than was on the contract. Vehicle information should be double checked to ensure customers are charged accurate prices for mileage. Had I not checked prior the mileage prior to leaving and the contract details when it was returned I would have been billed over a 16 mi difference, and fortunately the check in representative credited me to reflect the actual mileage doneTRUQUWELYA NEALL W.

The customer service was decent. It was the actual poor maintenance on the vehicle that was very horrible and unacceptable. I could not go past 35mph with out the whole cab shaking and trembling not to mention I had to drive 40 miles away then back another 40 miles to drop off the truck. It was a very unpleasant drive, I also mentioned the problem to the location where I got the truck from only for them to tell me to call the 1-800 number. I overfilled the tank by 3/4 of a tank. It required only 1/4 but I brought it back full. I had allotted for a certain amount of miles, more than enough to cover the full move but when I dropped off the truck I was told that I went over the miles. The cost was approx $4 or something but the gas alone was over $25. He looked at me and said, "you went over but it's okay I will take care of it" ... of course you will, I just gave you $25 in gas. I found it both annoying and condescending. I wouldn't have gone over the miles if they had been input properly as requested when I picked up the truck. Giving that $4 'discount'; is the least he could do since I gave him $25 in gas. I should've been given a refund based on the gas requirement differential. SMH.
