Mike PWe picked up the truck took it to the location. Sat down and ate with the family and then ok let’s start packing the truck. Went to open it up and there was no ramp. Ran back to see if we could either move it to another day or get a refund and we’re told nope. We can’t help you. If you would have brought it back within 30 minutes we could have. But instead we will charge you $80 plus the gas. We have used U-Haul so many times before especially within the last month to move things to our new facility. But after this we will move on to other companies that work with their customers. Will never recommend anyone to use U-Haul again. You rent a truck you don’t use and you still get charged $80 for nothing.

OLGA DEverything about the check-in and check out process went fine and there were no issues and it was easy. Would like to make a special note to Joe from Ocala at roadside assistance who replaced three tires on my trailer. One was flat and two were precautionary and had a huge piece of mind, knowing that I would not be stranded roadside. Joe went out of his way to include checking the air pressure in my tow vehicle to ensure that I was as safe as possible. There was nothing eventful about the U-Haul experience except for Joe from Ocala going above and beyond and making it very comfortable to rent from U-Haul again. Service like Joe provided is what will have me coming back to U-Haul and recommending their services. I can’t say enough about him.

Gregg DHad hitch installed and rented a 4x8 trailer, noise developed at about 200 miles into my trip, figured since this was a new install, issue was with my vehicle booked an appointment only to advised by dealership parts of the hitch system had came loose. 11/2 days delayed, and 3 hotel pre booked lost, cost of repairs and hotels over a $1000 dollars, thanks Joe @ 66th north, St. Petersburg, Florida., Needless to say I won’t be visiting this location again and will not recommend it either. Trailer it self was awesome. I have a video of the issue if anyone wants to see it….supplied by the dealership….

Dean WGreat location. Only a few pieces of feedback. I went in a few days prior to my trailer reservation to purchase boxes and asked them to pull forward the reservation from Friday morning to Thursday evening. It was pulled to Thursday morning and when I arrived it had been canceled. No notification of cancelation, but the system showed it as canceled. They were still able to provide a trailer, but if they hadn't it would not have been great. The second is when I picked up the trailer apparently I received a text message with a link to upload a picture "prior to leaving the lot". I don't check messages all the time so I didn't even see it until I got home. The workers should have told me to look out for it. Lastly I reserved a utility dolly, but was given an appliance dolly and when I asked for the right one, I was told it was the same thing. I said no its not and that I need what I reserved. No utility dollies were available so they gave me a dolly that was listed for sale. This was fine with me. An appliance dolly has smaller wheels and doesn't go down stairs as easily without a heavy load. Have the right equipment on hand when reserved.
Joseph TI rented a 26' truck about a week in advance and when I arrived to pick it up I was told that there were none available at my "preferred location" but that there were some a few miles away that I could go pickup instead. I did not want to waste the time to travel to the other location just to start the process over again. If anything, why can't you move the truck to the proper location that I booked it for? That seems like your responsibility. A representative did call me about an hour after I picked up a smaller truck to let me know that the truck I booked was not available. She told me it wasn't a big deal because the other truck was only 4 miles away but once again, if it wasn't a big deal, maybe they could move the trucks to where they are needed. The truck I received instead was smaller, but also annoyingly it was below empty with fuel so I had to go straight to a gas station to fill it up. I appreciate the $27 credit for bringing it back above a 1/4 tank but since it cost me $110 to fill up, that credit doesn't really do anything for me. I think the branch should be responsible for putting a minimal amount of gas in the trucks before they are picked up. Overall, I feel that you put all of the responsibility on the customer to make the rental work and provide no service. This was a very poor experience.

Andrew BI realized that I requested the wrong trailer. The sales person was somewhat helpful. However, the paperwork that was required to switch units and for me to be billed correctly was not done. Thank you to your online agent that helped me over the phone and was able to get me my refund for the correct price. The agent in Barry that I called to return the trailer was very helpful as well.

Marsha RThis place is set to charge you as much as they can regardless of what you need. Staff is not professional to handle costumers as apparently this feels more like it is a smoke shop. Store smell like weed and the staff seems like to enjoy the “high” environment. As for the equipment, there were a lot of flaws which we can say is for the use and tear. But wiring for the hitch is not a game it is a safety hazard. I was given a “defected” wire and staff didn’t bother to check it I found out when I left the equipment to another branch where they confirmed this is a potential serious hazard the words where: no light while you in the highway? Who ever left you leave like this in one of U-Haul branch should be fired immediately. This was at Brandon branch. They were nice and walk with me with all protocols and safety procedures in case something arises before I left the premises, thing that the st Pete branch didn’t do. I understand that the “owner” title can be challenging but costumer services classes are cheaper if you purchase them in bulk for your staff. Godspeed,

CAROL LThe left tail light was completely out on the tow dolly we rented. They did offer to change it out for a different tow dolly but was already hooked up and so we kept the the we got and had no issues using it but it would have been nice for it to be tested and ensure complete working order before we did the complete hook up, otherwise it was a good experience.
