When I foolishly thought my wheelbarrow would fit in the trunk of my car, he helped disassemble it. Great customer service, reservers a 26' truck but then the previous rental wouldn't be available so had to change my reservation to a20', get to the counter let them know the reservation was for a20' but really need a26', turns out the customer just before me wanted a 20' but had to reserve a 26'. Lady named Megan was curt in her approach and appeared annoyed with me when I indicated that the drop off she had for me was different than the drop off given to me on line. She then rang up the charge and it was about $150 more than what I had booked for on line. She explained that the on line price was just an estimate and that I must have entered something wrong to have a different drop off than the one I was given on line. I challenged her charging me another $150 or so above my online â€œestimateâ€. Again, she seemed annoyed with this. I then asked out and out, â€œAm I annoying you? Her response was No dear, cute. She then went online and found what I was talking about and said the charge would be what I had booked it for online. Not a great customer service interaction. Seems like this workers attitude towards customers needs to be checked. Sorry to say, I will make it a point to avoid that location so I don't have to deal with her her in the future.George P.

We returned our cargo van early and without damage, yet we were charged a $20 fee for not closing out the contract (even though the location was closed so no one was available to help us close out the contract) apparently you expect us to close out the contract on our own and then they charge you if you don't. everything was fine especially the service, which is always great at this location. I will never go to another one in salem. This is the best one. I went to one in south salem that was absolutely rude and terrible. I like Sherry at this silverton road location and everyone is well trained, capable and courteous. The employee that was helping me get my truck stated that the fuel tank was full and to make sure you top it off when you bring it back. I have used uhal several times over the last year and I understand how it works. When I went to fuel up I told the attendant to fill it up. Almost 6 gallons of fuel later and over 30$ and it was still going and so I jumped out and stopped it. I had only driven 21 miles and I know that it did not take 6 gal to go that far. When I returned the uhal the employee said that I made the mistake. I had asked about the employee that helped me get the truck and what she had told me and the other employee just kind of kind of chucled and said it was my fault and that there was no way to help make it right.Sterling W.

The guy I worked with was in the lot. He was super helpful and took the car transport off my truck told me have a great day. I then got a call two days later saying I haven't returned the trailer. I called back and worked with Megan. She was very nice. And said she needs to walk the lot again to make sure it was there and I would not be charged for extra days. I then received a receipt saying I was charged extra days. So now my wife called to get our money back but they can't help us because the manager was out. We now have to waste our time to deal with a situation that was not our fault but uhaul's inability to communicate and check in trailers. I waited in the store for nearly 30 minutes for help. I thought maybe I was supposed to check out on my phone with the instructions showing on the big screen but when I tried it on my phone it did not work and the instructions went by too fast. There was no way to call for service, no bell... I had no idea if I was waiting for nothing or if I'd be waiting forever. the moving help was the problem - they were horrible. Never ever contract with ROBERT HANSEN LLC - no Ubox, no furniture pads, he just threw our stuff in the back of his filthy truck then refused to take it to the correct shipping location making our delivery a week late. After I arrive to where I was going I found that the last people that cleaned out the vehicle did not clean it out all the way and there was a empty whiskey bottle under my seat and a empty pack of cigarettes I or my children were the only ones in the vehicle but was kind of upset to find that after driving to round trips on Fourth of July weekend. If I was pulled over for any reason I would have got a open container citation possibly . I gave it to the nice lady at U-Haul for example for her workers , And vehicle did die in intersection and I simply just started it again which was odd it was when vehicle is empty! With the exception of Dave, everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. I single out Dave because when I rented my SECOND Ubox from this location, I got it home myself to find it was still padlocked shut from the dealership. I called to ask about options and ended up having to drive the Ubox backâ€”pulling it with a truck I also rented from this locationâ€”so that the lock could be unlocked. Then I had to drive it home again. My request to have the extra round trip mileage and additional gas used in the truck not to be added to my bill was declined by Dave. Seriously? Cost was negligible, but it's the point of the matter. The error at the Uhaul location cost ME extra time and effort and also cost me extra money. The staff was very friendly, so this review does not reflect them, but getting into our rooms was a nightmare. We were supposed to have one large room and it was unavailable due to someone not moving out on time. So then we get transferred to two smaller rooms across the storage facility from each other. The second room that was “vacant” was still full of someone else’s garbage so then we were transferred again to a third unit. All the while, our whole unload crew is following the worker around the facility trying to figure out which room we are actually unloading into. We were supposed to get our first month free for our one room... now we are left paying much more next month for two rooms when we were only supposed to have one in the first place. Terrible organization and keeping track of which rooms were vacant/in use. We made our reservation a month ago so it wasn’t even last-minute. I have asked many times for you to change the name of who was on the rental agreement. Even after I had filled out the paperwork you still did not change the information. I had no way to speak with you guys since my husband who should have been taken off was still as the first person to contact. I paid with MY credit card and even when I told you NOT to use my credit card you Still DID.I had become homeless with this pandemic and had no way to contact you and then after many attempts you sold my stuff. I appreciate having to go above your head to get things done but I dont see why I had to in the first place. We had reserved 2 10x20 units but when we needed the second unit they only had a 10x10, this created stress with our move and the smaller unit was no where near as convenient and easy to use it had at least a 1 foot step up. When originally reserving the units I was able to speak directly to the location all other calls went directly to the call centers which had EXTREMELY long wait times. I have to rate low because of my experience. 1st, the online app did not accept image of the back of my drivers license, so I could not order online. The next day, I physically went to rent (Sun) at 430 pm... lose at 5. I was told bluntly, without even trying to listen, we cannot rent in the last hour. Told to do online. Explained I already had. I tried again. This time it asked for a alternate number and no matter what I entered, with hyphen or withou...several different numbers, it would not advance and finalize. It did accept the money. THEN after 3 attempts to call and get help (again, point blank, i cannot help...referred to same numer and menu)...waiting again. 3 person really heard me and tried to help...then suddenly disconnected.
