The facility was not what I expected from my previous experience with a different Uhaul storage facility in Hawaii. It wasn’t as clean as I expected it to be and there is a very musty smell that concerns me will transfer to the fabric of the sofa, and will also be absorbed by the wood in the table and dresser. They also did not have the size that I had actually reserved online. I ended up with a smaller unit, and although the movers made it work for a sofa, dresser (standing upright), and round dining table (laying on its side), it is not ideal and will make it difficult getting things out without strong movers to do so when it’s time to vacate. It also doesn’t leave very much space for boxes. The other inconvenience is that there is no elevator. The furniture needed to be carried up the stairs, then up ramps to get to the unit on the second floor. Unfortunately, with the timing I had no other option as I couldn’t keep the movers running around to different facilities or units. If I had known these things I would have looked for something better and closer to Bay St Louis or Picayune. Although every other place that I made inquiries with only had very big units which were too big for what I needed stored. What I had reserved was an 8x8 unit and that would have been perfect. What I ended up with was a 6x6 unit. On another note, I was impressed with the selection of packing supplies for sale at the facility.Kalena C. | First Impressions

We waited 20 minutes for someone to unhitch the trailer. I walked inside to ask for help because there was 2 people inside and only one was helping a customer and he directed me to wait outside and someone would help me even though he was on his phone and wasn't doing anything. The man who was helping the customer inside came out and took care of us. I think they need to know to in order to keep good business the customer comes first everything else can wait.ASIA L.

The pick up and drop off locations I had booked were changed without my knowledge. I drove to my pick up location and was told my trailer was not available and I would need to drive 3 towns away for pick up. The staff were unhelpful and turned me away with no information on how to reschedule my moving team due to uhaul supply issues. After calling the head office Uhal found another pick up closer to my necessary location. Although Storage of Gulfport was helpful, my full pick up experience was absolutely horrible and I should sue the company for the moving team I had to turn away and the time and money it cost me.SUSAN R.

This is NOT, I repeat, NOT, the return address which was printed in my contract!! I returned the auto transport to the address that was clearly printed on my contract in Pascagoula Mississippi, where the ladies were very accommodating. They informed me that their computer records showed a different address and even a different name on the piece of equipment. However, they were very helpful and excepted the equipment that I turned in because it was clearly printed on my contract. Later I received this bill from U-Haul in Gulfport charging me $2.14 for returning a piece of equipment to a wrong address. No one called me no one emailed me he simply charged me for doing something wrong, which I did not do. I'm thoroughly annoyed and disgusted by this action. I've dealt with many U-Haul people and locations in the past and I've always received good service. This is a blazing errorWe should be covered by U-Haul instead of passing on a bill to a customer who did exactly what they were supposed to do according to the printed contract. I hearby request that the $2.14 be refunded to my credit card, along with an â€˜apology or inconvenience fee' as well, the amount of which I would suggest would be significant enough to earn my respect as a long-standing loyal customer.RAYMOND N.

Ok while I gave the staff a good rating for being helpful and friendly the management not so much. While I don't know which worker actually made the mistake on the fuel charge Dana the mgr discovered there was a mistake on their part. I paid Dana cash which evidently she didn't relay to the worker because the worker charged my card. When all was said and done they ended up having to refund my money. The issue here is it takes 3-5 business days to get my money back. This was on Thanksgiving and then it was the weekend so it's going to be at least 7 days. If this would've been my mistake I would've sucked it up and waited but it was not my mistake. They didn't have to wait a week to get my money I shouldn't have to wait a week to get it back when they caused the the issue. I talked to mgr about getting my money back. She was neither helpful or friendly. She kept repeating â€œsorryâ€ there was nothing she could do. Her sorry's did not get my money bacckJames P.

Whenever reservations are made, they should be honored. I made an reservation and when I got there on time, there were no truck for me. My reservation had been made for two weeks. I was not offered anything that you may have had available. Also do not think customers that have made reservation at this pickup to have to travel 25plus miles to go get the rental.IRMA A.
