only issue: I went to drop off the car trailer and the location did not have storage. they sent me a another location and seems like they forgot I was sent to another location and they called me 2 times for he truck and car trailer.

If you call no one will answer; your call goes to UHAUL center not the local store. UHAUL Gulfport employees always on cell phone and act as it is a problem when they talk to you because they want to get back on cell phone. WILL NOT RENT AGAIN FROM THAT LOCATION!!!!!! Should have learned not to rent from that location after my first rental; thought they were have a bad day during first rental but track record shows it is normal operation for them.......

Quick and courteous drop-off. The same young lady helped us for both a trailer drop-off and then the next day for the truck drop-off. She was lovely! Great experience. Thank you U-Haul!

When I reserve a piece of equipment (i.e..an appliance dolly) it would be nice if it were actually available. Instead, I had to drive to another U-Haul location to get it which resulted in me having to go over my projected mileage and having to pay extra at the end of the day.

Two points which I would like noted; one concerning U-Haul, the other concerning the service: 1. RE: Customer information; alternate contact information. I identified my wife as my alternate contact, same address, same telephone number. I was informed that the telephone number (for my wife)MUST be a different number. WHAT?!! That is ridiculous and asinine...we LIVE TOGETHER! Both my wife and I have cell phones, but I choose not to use either on computer-stored records or to transact business because our home phone alone gets over a dozen solicitous calls per day, despite being on the "...do not calll.." lists (Federal and State). Similarly, I do not want to use cell numbers of friends for the same reason. Is this unreasonable? I do not think so. What IS unreasonable is to demand a separate contact number for a co-habitant of my residence. 2. The counter agent's demeanor was insulting. She conveyed the impression of one who was genuinely dissatisfied with her job, and was bothered by having to be at work, and even more so to be inconvenienced by having to serve me. I do not appreciate cold, objectivity and mechanical, forced treatment by personnel who earn their living at the hands of their customers. It may be that she is normally pleasant, personable, and cordial toward your/her customers, but given my preference, I would not chance another encounter with her. I discussed my impression(s) with the manager, who said she would talk to the employee. The equipment hookup/turn-in was handled by the manager very professionally and efficiently. In closing I want to say that in my opinion good service includes more than the product itself; the interaction between customer and store personnel often means far more than the equipment. There are at least three other U-Haul locations, all of which are closer to my home. Maybe their agents will be more pleasant to deal with. I will find out. Thank you for taking the time to consider my comments.

I enjoyed driving the cargo van I rented; however, it had a very strong smell of smoke when I got it. Perhaps some sort of powerful deodorizer would have helped, or if there are filters for the incoming air that could be cleaned. Other than the smell, it was very good.

I made reservation online for noon after a holiday weekend expressly to allow relocation of trucks. My initial pickup point was 10 miles, 30 minutes away in another town. The pickup changed twice before the reservation date, and reverted back to the location in Gulfport 10 miles away. I would expect you to offer to waive mileage charges in return for my time to drive to a location that far away. There are 12 pickup points in Biloxi, and you sent me all the way to Guflport

Very poor customer service. My items were not available at the time reserved, and nothing was done to assist. This caused a serious delay in my moving plans, and aggravated an already disappointing process. I am deeply dissatisfied. I would not recommend this to anyone.

The customer service system that Uhaul uses is hostile at best. I could not get a straight answer from any of the 8 people I spoke with and in the final analysis, I felt like I got ripped off. Several calls resulted in me waiting for managers to call me back that never called. If I do not hear from somebody in customer service soon, I am going to deny the charges on my credit card. Really bad experience with Uhaul.
