I have rented numerous trailers & equipment from you folks, and most from this branch. Great people, and great customer service. This particular rental the equipment was faulty resulting in damage to my Son's vehicle. I have filed a claim to compensate my Son for the cost of the repairs to his vehicle. When returning the rental truck, need to give a little leeway on the amount of fuel left. When I got the truck it was on tiny bit below full. I drove the truck a TOTAL of 15 miles and when I returned the truck, it was a tick below where it was. I was told that it needed to show completely full or I would be charged the failure to refuel charge and $4.50 a gallon to fill. So I had to drive the truck 3 more miles to fill the tank, at $1.10 a mile, to replace 2 gallons of gas I'd used, plus fill the tank to absolute full. In my option this is VERY poor customer service. I had rented from this location before, but dropped off at another, I was 5 miles over the allotted mileage and that location waived the overage charge. That customer service led me to rent again. My experience with Uhaul was not great. They neither showed up on time (both in Fort Collins and Hillsboro) nor tried to reach me to let me know their delay. It was always me who called them asked them when they would show up. I will never use Uhual Ubox from now on. I chose Uhaul since it was a little bit cheaper than Upack and Pod. based on my current experience, I learned a lesson and will spend a little extra money to get a better service.Siyoung S.

I had reserved a 10x10 downstairs unit specifically because we had some very heavy furniture items. When we arrived, the unit we were given was changed to the 2nd floor. This location does not have an elevator, just a flight of stairs to haul up our very heavy furniture. We were extremely upset by this change and it took us twice the amount of time in a sweltering hot drop off bay. There was only one employee at cs with a line of people so check in time took a while. This was the third location that my reservation was moved around to. It was very inconvenient. They forgot to include my dolly in the truck, so I had to drive back to the location to have it removed from my invoice. Check-in of the trailer: Waited over 20 minutes in line while the only person at the counter assisted a telephone caller with arranging rental of a truck for a cross-country move. There were four other in-line behind me who also had to wait. I've been in customer service/sales for over 30 years and would have simply asked the person on the phone if I could call them back in a few minutes to finalize arrangements for their move, as there were customers in the store. This OR location was great, but my overall experience with uhaul was terrible! My reserved trailer was unavailable 2 days before I needed to move out. My only option was to spend $2k more on a ubox. My ubox delivery was delayed. Made a reservation to pick up my box and was told they did not have my reservation and my box was not ready. After 2hrs of waiting, I called uhaul directly and was told I did indeed have a reservation, but that didn't help since my box was not ready and there were no workers to help me. I had scheduled movers with uhaul that I had to pay for 2 hrs of labor while I sat waiting to get my box since it took 3 hrs of standing on the sidewalk to finally pick up my box. I was told I would get $50 a day for my box being delayed in shipping.. havent seen that yet. Wasnt offered any other compensation for the $2,200 and 3 hrs I unexpectedly had to waste. The location and MGR ELI are ALWAYS great. However, this time (not due to the location) I got a call stating I had not returned the trailer rented 5/25. I had actually delivered it early. It was an error on part of those who oversee returns and it was SO stressful. I never heard back after asking them to confirm all well, and Friday took 1/2 day off work to deal with it (lost $140.00 doing that) and it was a mistake on part of Uhaul. REALLY!!!!!!!! I had to assure them that it was on site from the day before, and in fact two of your people "verbally" check me in on the return and stated that they would record the return in the computer... guess that never happened. Now I am waiting to see if you will credit me the fee for the moving blankets that we never received, and I have told this to 3 different U-Haul Reps... but likely we will never see that return on our credit card based on the overall lack of communication.brian D.

We had scheduled for our UBox one month in advance and at the same time scheduled for our box to be picked up by a local moving company on a Saturday at 12:00PM. When our movers went to retrieve the box Uhaul wouldn't release it because they needed a 24hr notice, however they had a month's notice. After 3 phone calls and countless transfers, I found out that my box should have been released at my requested time when my movers went, the Uhaul location just completely forgot and didn't even have me on the schedule at all. Moving across the country is complicated as it is, and the nearly 4 hour delay in us being able to get our box just completely put a halt to our move. If it wasn't for the help from our awesome movers we hired to help deal with this situation, I'd be more upset than I am.Krystle B.

We used a location in Salem, Oregon. Everything on the pick-up end was great; issues only began after promised delivery was not made. I specifically requested the containers be left without a confirmation call. There were no missed calls on my cell and no attempts at e-mail, although we are now being told contact attempts were made while I was waiting on hold for a rep over 45 minutes trying to reach them myself first thing in the morning of the scheduled delivery date. I never reached a live person. I had previously pulled up our order# and opened an account, but the account would not link with our order. I tried confirming and putting in where we wanted the Uboxes left, but it took me to my account that says I have no orders. I finally was able to reach a rep through the chat feature, who provided a direct number to contact the delivery staff, who told me it was too late to go out the scheduled delivery date and it would be 3 more days. We got a call this morning from yet another rep telling us it will be another WEEK before they can deliver, or we can pick it up ourselves. That was not what we agreed to, but I said okay, since we have no choice. Because I said "okay" the guaranteed delivery date has been changed so you don't have to pay us the $50 a day for not delivering as scheduled? I assume you will now add additional charges for storage of our belongings, which was caused by YOUR failure to deliver and YOUR website not functioning properly. This was an expensive move across 3 time zones. All you had to do was pick up the boxes, drive them out and drop them off. We were home all day trying to reach YOU on the guaranteed delivery date. I can't even tell you how angry I am, and will NEVER use this company again for any reason, even if I have to buy my own semi truck.lisa A.

I needed this to move into a condo and it was a waiting game to see when the keys would be handed to me so I didn't appreciate the web site being difficult to change my reservation and THEN, the per mile rate jumped up a full $.30 after I had to change my reservation and they are quick to cancel after only 30 minutes past the reservation time. THEN employees seemed a little too busy and didn't know about the "skip the line" when van was ready for checkout and made me wait to just hand me the keys. My only complaint is that a couple of the boxes were damaged. On one, the side wall was separating from the pallet and the door wouldn't close. On its replacement, a piece of wood that held the front panel in place was cracked. The door functioned and we used it in spite of the crack. The covers on all but one were in excellent condition. Equipment was cleaned. All the lights worked when hooked-up and checked before leaving. However, the running lights kept blowing fuses when in tow not allowing safe towing at night. My paperwork was given to somone else. I didn't realize until I got to the van and noticed a $60k difference in mileage. I went back in and they didn't give me a copy of the correct one. Just a draft receipt so I had no record other than a photo I took of the mileage and gas. The van smelled like sweat. I had to drive with the window down. Everytime (3) I have rented from this location there has been some sort of problem at pickup. Wrong contract. Self check-in and the store gave the van to someone else so that when I got there someone else was driving off with the vehicle the app sent me to. THey had to cancel my order and enter it again. I had a horrific experience with all three U-Haul locations I went to. This company is terribly managed and incredibly disorganized. I reserved a storage unit and they didn't even have one available after I made the reservation. They messed up my u-Haul truck reservation as well and gave me the wrong type of truck for a one-way move so I had to drive an hour out of my way to pick up a different truck and then get it fixed up with an auto transport. The U-Haul that I went to to hook up the auto transport gave our reservation to another client so we had to straighten all of that out which took another hour. After all this hassle U-Haul did nothing to make it better no apology no discount no refund nothing! To be honest I just would have wanted them to do what they said they would do and I have some goddamn customer service! Had a very good experience here. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The facility is fantastic! I've used self-storage previously, but this is the nicest facility I've ever seen. The drive-through drop-off area is sheltered and warm, there are plenty of carts and dollies to get items from your vehicle to your storage unit, and the interior is a comfortable temperature, and kept very clean. Also I moved out on the first, and after calling multiple times and being told the manager would get ahold of me, I had to call again almost two weeks later, to close my account and get my refund.
