Most miserable move in at a storage ever. Only one door that could be used and it was way far from my unit. I was told 64 over the phone for the unit and upon arrival told 99. It was a very tight area to maneuver a 26ft uhaul. The only door that was allowed to be used locked and said that I wasn't signed in so had to go out and sign in again then trek all the way back and down the long long hall to put the lock on. The floors were filthy and the huge rodent poison trap kept falling apart. All around will never suggest this place for storage. The ceilings in the units are all exposed nails and spray insulation with a flap of plastic over about half of the unit.

There was a “Check Engine” light upon initial startup of the vehicle. This should not happen if the vehicle is properly inspected prior to rental. A process change to do a walk through of the intended vehicle before paperwork would simplify the process. In my case a second truck had to be selected and additional paperwork.

Pretty much all of it was the worst experience I've had with U-Haul. I've rented a lot of equipment from various U-Haul locations and the Oregon Way location in Longview provided far and away the worst customer experience to date. Snarky, unhelpful counter reps and staff that purport to know what a burned fuse looks like sent me on a lengthy, expensive, and frustrating quest to fix a problem that didn't exist but which prohibited me from renting equipment. I made three trips to the U-Haul for one rental and endures three transactions to get one piece of equipment. Excellent customer service is not terribly difficult to provide and 3/4 of the staff (literally three of four people) I interacted with failed miserably.

Due to circumstances out of my control I was not able to return the trailer for 2 extra days. I made sure that I was there to return on the 3rd day before the store opened and yet I was still charged with a 3rd day of having the trailer. I found that very frustrating

It was at night. Longview is super sketchy at night. They need more lighting in the parking lot. A very petite woman dropping of a UHaul after dark alone needs a little more security going on. Location was fine, but the first drop off location was an hour and a half from where we were located. When I called, the woman sounded as though I was bothering her. She told me the drop off location was where I indicated. It was in another state! She did however get it moved to the correct location without a hassle. Not very pleased with our experience overall.

No explanation was given for the basics. Like gas use, what type of gas, keep my contract with me, took forever to sign me in because the online check in wasn't working, then had to check me in a second time because I was paying in cash. No where on the site or when I was reserving it, told me there would be a $100 deposit. I was lucky to have that in cash. I was then told to go to a drop off in Vancouver, but I asked to go to a Portland location that is closer because of the pay per mile and I had to Lyft from the drop off location. They told me St. Johns location was a corporate location and I could get my cash deposit back there. I went to St. Johns and they told me my drop off location was in Vancouver. Very unhappy with this because I was told by the St. Johns location I would have to pay a fee to leave it there, and I was running late for work at that point because I had to wait 30 minutes to figure everything out that Longview location didn't. And the Longview location would not pick up.

All of the staff have always been courteous and helpful. We're happy that they are a dedicated U-Haul branch as opposed to another business that deals in U-Haul part time and doesn't really care about the customer. Glad that that they always seem to have what we need when we need it.

The representative that helped me was way too defensive over a phone number. It's not necessary to assign blame to a customer after a simple inquiry was made. Retraining would be beneficial, as this is a maturity and ego thing.

Everyone was super friendly on the phone, at the desk, hook ups, and at the receiving stations.You aren't listed for "UHaul" without putting in the storage part..... it had been awhile that I had rented from you and I KNEW you were still there. I had friends that didn't realize it either and now they know!!! Thanks for helping me get my used refrigerators delivered and home!! (and now I have a 7 to 4 adapter in my truck too :) )

The assistant didn't bother to do anything other than hand me the key and walk back. The truck was so beat up and had so many unmarked damaged spots that I thought I would get charged for so I took pictures of everything. Overall for 116 miles the $200 I laid felt like price gouging

Oh my..where to begin...have you ever visisted a control tower at the airport, before all the craziness happened...well it's busy, and controllers guide planes in and out...with skills of years experience seem seamless...the team at the Oregon way facility are the controllers of the trucks in and out, and do it with so much ease and farnese..there experience shines..you are in and out and driving in warped speed...lol..watch out for speed traps, they are not responsible for that portion 😮 You folks out there take a moment and give the folks a genuine high five when headed out on your journey...

The trucks steering was sloppy, several miles on the vehicle. Glad it was a short trip, it would not be a good vehicle to drive very far. Be sure to let them know before you pull out if the gas level doesn't match their paperwork. Why don't they fill it up like rental cars do instead of 9/16ths of a tank. The staff was excellent. Pickup and drop off was quick. The facility was clean and well organized.

The group at this location work like a well oiled expensive car 😁 and I mean this in the sweetest, nicest way... Ihope management treats them right and does everything they possibly can to keep them happy...never a harsh word, never a weird gesture, never a don't let the door hit you on the way out..what a fine group...Amber's the best...they are a well oil expensive car in your warehouse of personnel. It would be helpful for service person to explain the process of returning an item/truck when they will be closed. Being new to using a computer for scheduling appts etc, especially an older person, letting me know to look for f/u instructions when I returned the item would have been helpful. I didn't want to be charged $20 for returning it wrong.

The original booking person told me I had a truck to pick up in chehalis. A day before pick up I was told I had to drive to Longview to pick up. This was a total inconvenience and I was very angry. The associate on the phone was very accommodating and provided me an extra day and extra mileage to compensate me for the extra driving and time.

The staff is great. I watched one clerk deal with a very very very obnoxious customer and towards the end not even the most experienced worker would have been able to keep their cool. But she was calm and didn't even show a hint of irritation even though we all knew it was there. My problem with this facility is the fact that for one there is no elevator to the second floor. What if you have really heavy items. There should be something in place. My second concern is the second story storages on the second floor. Climbing those rickety stairs with heavy objects is a unbelievably dangerous and unnerving task.

Almost impossible to reach by phone. Not very helpful staff. Nothing but problems with access codes and things because people didn't bother to set me up properly. My storage unit leaked and the resolution was to use tape to hold the sagging insulation material up.

The check-in/check-out system using the card is really a pain. There's also homeless people in the buildings with their stuff everywhere. I moved my stuff to Iron Gate Storage which is way better.

I think if someone emails you that you should email back I told you when I could pay and you still charged me the 20 fee so instead of paying 29.95 I had to pay 49.95 so I packed my stuff up and left

Horrible guest service and treatment over the telephone. Customer service representatives on the corporate level helped out a bunch though. Though I did get charged for a furniture dolly. Never got.

A little disconcerting to have rates increased two times in 6 months. I understand the issue, however should have considered when increasing the rate the first time.

The reservation line sent me to the wrong location for the truck and the storage unit. The hours for storage between locations differed significantly. Closing at 7 or 8 pm is too early for storage.
