the main reasons that I moved my stuff was due to lights . i know alot people use to stay jn u haul units. And was told . thats why there was no lights. I look at that as someone in upper management is not doing there job. You have onsite cameras so its easy to moniture day and night. So if the door is shut for what ever you would determam to long. Check it out. Its storage not for doing art and crafts. Or sut and read or work on projects. ?. Theres many options. Keep in mind offering 24 hours access us nice. One big thing offering that. with lighting opens up a possible libility case do to injury ect.. Put more derect lighting across from each unit so the would have to be open and when you sign in that light comes on. When door opens. Or how everyou would determan when and how light comes on. When I returned the truck there was a team of people there to inspect and they started as soon as I got out of the truck. Would have been nice if I didn't feel rushed to get out of it but the lady talking to me was very friendly though and made a big difference. I was from out of town passing through and my vehicle broke down so I had to get it towed to a local shop. I needed to rent a car but there were none available at enterprise. So I called uhaul and they had some vehicles available. Originally I was going to rent a pick up truck , they said that I had to bring the truck back to that same location, even though I just needed it one way. I had no other options so I agreed . The bill was going to be over 500 dollars just to take it home and back and keep it for 3 days. It turned out that I ended up getting a box truck instead for what I needed it for , which I came to find out after I had already signed the contract, didn't need to be returned to that location. But they led me to beleive it did anyway .... for whatever reason. When I got home and found out about this, I called and asked if I could just return it to a local drop off here , which would have saved me a few hundred. The lady insisted that they couldn't change the contract because it had already been signed . I didn't want to argue , so I returned it back to Longview, 2 hours south of where I live. The bill came out to almost 900 dollars. To be fair , I did drive it about 100 miles more than I estimated, but I didn't really know the milage in advance, and 900 dollars for 450 miles just seems outrageous to me , when 150 of those miles were just to bring it unnecessarily back to the location. Im a targeted individual and I get taken advantage of quite a bit , so I'm used to it. But it still makes me sad every time. I don't understand how anyone could feel justified in their actions by wanting people like myself to feel pain and humiliation. I have enough trauma in my life as it is . But I forgive you all . I just want you to know that. Maybe I'd feel different if I didn't have the money to spare. I don't know. But I know one thing for sure, I won't be using uhaul services ever again <3 thanks for the experience.RICHARD N.

Go back to the policy you had when I first rented a trailer years ago.. If the unit near me did not have what I needed they searched those nearby and had the equipment sent to them, thereby making it more convenient to the customer, rather than continually calling or otherwise contacting the customer that the pickup location is being changed. (mine was changed twice, each adding time and mileage for me to accomplish my access to the equipment I needed.Sandy H.

I came to Uhaul to the fact that this was an uncircumstance decision due to the fact that I was moving and had originally got a truck from Budget. But issues occurred and I had to find a solution fast on obtaining a moving truck on short notice. Thankfully Uhaul had the truck that I needed and there was no problem in obtaining the truck. But the issues started to occur when I had to go pick up a car towing a trailer from a Uhaul location 40 miles outside of where I lived at. Putting extra miles on the moving truck that I had already got. And the problems didn't stop there. Upon arriving at the Uhaul location in Longview, WA. The employee there told me that they could not put my vehicle on the towing trailer, firstly due to no employee on the site knew how to put it on and secondly due to company policy of it being a liability on their part if the vehicle so much as happens to come off while in transit. I asked her if she could walk me through how to put my vehicle on and she insisted that she could not do that. And she went and asked one of the male employee, how I should get my truck on the trailer.. And he told her to tell me to watch a youtube video. I couldn't find any words to say to either of them. And told them to take the trailer off the uhaul truck and would like a refund as I would not be taking it. I drove off the lot down the street and called Uhaul customer service and explained my situation and the representative was confused and how the employee said that to me and refused to help me. She kindly put me on hold, either her or her manager called back up there and told the manager to put the towing trailer on the truck. I went back up there and the manager apologize constantly to me as she put the trailer back on the Uhaul moving truck, and put my truck on the trailer. I called back up to Uhaul customer service and asked if I could get an extra day with the truck due to the mishap and the representative knew that I was the one calling and that everyone in the office had heard my experience and gave me 2 extra days free with no charge. Thinking everything was done after all that. But no other issue occurred while on the road from driving from Vancouver, WA to Las Vegas Nevada. As I was driving the truck through certain terrain and roads. The gears on the truck would get stuck and would take long periods of time to change back. Whoever had the truck before me had damage the gears greatly as there were times where it was difficult to control the truck when just going on flat roads. Once reaching the Uhaul Truck Rental in Las Vegas. I went up to ask one of the employees to help me take my vehicle off the trailer and he refused and said I would have to guide my vehicle off the trailer myself. He walked away and I was struggling to get the vehicle off. Getting fed up with this rude behavior and unprofessional customer service. I went into the building to try and get someone to help me. The same employee came up and asked me if I needed help and I said yes. Eventually, we got the truck off and he took the trailer. I left to go put my belongings away and came back to finally drop off the truck the next day. And upon doing so another employee said I was getting charged an extra $193 for the extra mileage. It isn't my fault if I had to drive a significant amount of miles outside to go get a trailer I needed. After the experience I had I should have gotten a refund from Uhaul. The employees of each location making it so difficult throughout my moving experience. And let me add this I never had an issue with the 1-800 number nor the representatives. The problems came with the pickup and dropoff locations. They need to be retrained as no one needs to be stressing on some things that are just simple.wanda R.

I turned in the truck with more gas than I received it, never got the dolly and blankets I paid for. and don't you think that even if the truck was late, it was because I didn't have a dolly which slowed the process significantly. and you guys have the temerity to charge extra. "The app will show you photos of the front, sides, and rear of the truck. Existing damage on the truck is marked with X stickers. Hello, I’m not a good person to give a review, on some of these questions, about a storage facility. This was the first time I ever rented a storage unit. You might want to add a third option for your questions. Because, it’s not fair to expect people to only have either a, ‘Yes or No’ response. You will end up with a very unrealistic review and not receive an accurate response. The ONLY reason I did not click ‘No’ for some of the questions, is because of the employees that work at this facility. They are very nice, helpful, flexible and professional. I do not like ONLY unrealistic ’Yes or No’ answer choices. So, out of disapproval of your answer choices, I would have typically answered, ‘NO,’ to ALL of your questions on your questionnaire. They didn't verify identity which worried me they also either use tonlie to me or are now ive been told for 3 years that the 24 hour access is available to anyone who sets up automatic payments and when I asked they said no we have to earn the trust of them to get that and im pretty put back over that. We have to earn your trust when we pay your wages hmm no thats not right. Second the unit I got this time is a 5x8 and 20 dollars more a month then my old unti which was a 5 by 10 and no one would tell me why. One locking slide was damaged and we could only use one lock on a large unit (instead of two), but no damage or theft occurred to our belongings/unit in our short 6-week rental period. Access was a tight fit for big trucks or trailer, lots of waiting to access your unit. Overall a good option for a stopover between houses/move. I rented this unit online, so didn't know it would be upstairs. Also had to climb Up a ladder to get into a 2 foot entrance, due to the beam coming through the ceiling right above the entry of the unit. The cherry on the cake is to open the unit and A huge puddle in the middle. The ceiling looked like it had been repaired many times, but never correctly. I feel so horrible for the peron that has stuff under this unit being wood floors. employees were very nice and friendly. I was told I had a unit reserved that matched the size of my moving truck, when I arrived they had 2 units reserved and neither were big enough for my size truck load.. I had no choice but to find storage else were to help fit my belongingsRICK W. | First Impressions
Unit was very small but was all that was available. The ceiling is just a piece of plastic that covers about half of unit and the rest is exposed nails and some kind of spray insulation or something. The hallways and unit were not cleaned or maintained. I'm not when the halls were last swept or mopped as they were filthy. The mouse or rat trap was very large and kept falling apart. Access into the unit was horrible. Only one door usable when we arrived and so had to move things hundreds of feet down a narrow hallways then to the left and the units door swings out so you have to close it to get past it then open it and try and angle your larger belongings in. When moving out there was water dripping down from the roof in the hallway just a few feet down from my unit. This place is in serious need of maintenance, upkeep, and repairs. Most miserable move in at a storage ever. Only one door that could be used and it was way far from my unit. I was told 64 over the phone for the unit and upon arrival told 99. It was a very tight area to maneuver a 26ft uhaul. The only door that was allowed to be used locked and said that I wasn't signed in so had to go out and sign in again then trek all the way back and down the long long hall to put the lock on. The floors were filthy and the huge rodent poison trap kept falling apart. All around will never suggest this place for storage. The staff is great. I watched one clerk deal with a very very very obnoxious customer and towards the end not even the most experienced worker would have been able to keep their cool. But she was calm and didn't even show a hint of irritation even though we all knew it was there. My problem with this facility is the fact that for one there is no elevator to the second floor. What if you have really heavy items. There should be something in place. My second concern is the second story storages on the second floor.
