THe original location I was told to drop off (Was a Shell station) turned my away saying they no longer accepted Uhaul returns.. I drove vehicle to nearest uhaul. The delay was extremely inconvenient and made me miss an appointment I had booked for many weeks.. very disappointed in my Uhaul experience overall.

Make Sure the fees are verbally stated prior to signing off on the Truck. Was charged double of my normal bill. The fuel policy is ridiculous You charge for gas but no one every fills the tanks up and the clients are penalized. But you can rent our a truck that has less than a quarter tank, but you penalize and charge a client to return at the level, you charge them a refill fee, and gas charge. But do not fill up the truck.

Every staff member I interacted with was not wearing there mask effectively, either below the nose or most commonly as a "chin strap". I did the mobile app checkout option explicitly to have a no-contact operation. That doesn't work because I was required to come inside to pick up the key, where two unmasked were working. Then they couldn't find the key, so I spent several minutes in your stuffy office with personnel not following COVID mandates. I would also like to comment on the app rental experience. I spent over 20 minutes in the parking lot completing my rental. The app kept "losing connection" although my phone was connected to the network requiring me to login several times and restart the process. Then I had to wait in the rain while two references vouched for me. In the parking lot I did not have access to my passport or other options which could have been quicker. If you are going to require your customers to go through all that red tape you should do it prior to the rental time so the app rental is an actually streamlined process.

Since 1989 I have always enjoyed my trip to the 35th Ave SW branch of Uhaul. From propane refills, to truck or trailer rentals, or simple hitch or trailer wiring parts the staff have always been helpful and friendly.

Staff was friendly, but very inefficient. One staff member (both days I saw him) wore his mask under his nose. He seemed to not be aware of this being an issue or why it might make someone uncomfortable. It made me extremely uncomfortable.

I had unit that was accessed by stairs. this was main reason for terminating the occupancy. Rents seemed high compared to what i was getting, U-Haul should run better promotions or give more incentives for long time renters (I have been here for close to 20 years, same unit)

Reserved a 10' truck at 8:30am Sunday, went to the location at 8:30am. Nobody there. Not open until 9am. "Jody" was helpful at 9am. When I returned the truck at 2:00pm I waited in a line as the one guy working there was struggling with how to rent a truck to a customer (maybe he was a trainee?). Jody was trying to help him. We all waited. and waited. Then Jody left the area, with aline of 7-8 customers waiting to be helped. As we left the location I saw Jody out back smoking a cigarette, apparently not interested in helping the waiting customers. I know it's tough working at UHaul on a Sunday, but customer service is very important. I'd rate Jody an "F" for effort and personal relationship with the customer.

We arrived to pick up our cargo van on a busy Saturday, and planned to use the mobile/low touch experience to check in. When we arrived with our reservation, we learned that we needed to go in to get the key. The place was a madhouse, and one of the clerks was about to give our van to someone else due to a mix up - she was completely frazzled but recognized the predicament for what it was and somehow managed to make it all work out. i never knew how busy this business was until Saturday!

The location was great. Even though the 1-800 team over booked and were horrible to work with, this location went out of their way to help. I wouldn't recommend uhaul based on my experience with the 1800 team, but this location made up for it.

Andy was great. Helped me when self-pick wasn't working, grabbed me a mask when I forgot mine at home, quickly got me on the road, and quickly checked me out when I dropped off. He constantly asked what else he could do to help me. Amazing experience. Puts the Rainer Valley crew to shame.

Staff was...not the fastest, but still far better than most u-haul locations. It would be good for you to let your staff know that it's possible to hear someone speaking through a mask - no need to pull up your mask to speak... That defeats the purpose of the mask on the first place.

One box did not have any pads. Boxes didn't arrive on said date, then date was changed without telling me, then date changed again A couple of times. I was told by Jacob that the delivery fee was going to be reimbursed. I have not received it yet. The manager Harley Johnson, has not contacted me, I have left numerous messages. I am very disappointed with the way I am being ignored. Very poor customer service from this department.

My comments are based on 5-6 years of renting units from Uhaul and for the most part having awful experiences be the norm instead of the exception. The current manager has been exceptionally polite, professional, and helpful - Uhaul would be lucky to keep him. The flooding of my unit was handled poorly, but worst of all was the management's treatment of me at that time when I was not the cause of the flooding and damage to my stuff. I should have been compensated properly for the damage to my stuff, but I just am too exhausted to do all the work that should have been done by Uhaul to get reimbursed properly. It would have been nice if Uhaul had actually given me free rent for a while after that happened considering I was a customer for years and was a customer for years afterwards. The $500 wasn't nearly adequate to compensate for the damage and stress it caused. It would be nice if the hours to access our units were extended to 8pm, but it doesn't matter personally since I no longer have a unit. I am glad that the location hasn't shut down as it is convenient for all of us in West Seattle. I hope the friendlier service under the new manager is kept up - it's a nice change. In the past employees often were not trained adequately and couldn't do fundamental tasks involved in the job and it was extremely frustrating if a manager wasn't around to handle it. Hopefully employees are being trained more/better now.

Labor day weekend monday. James helped me knowledgeable. He took care of me other rentals returning rentals. Propane tank filled he got me a locker perfect. This man was only employee there. You can never find the staff. The only time anyone has been somewhat friendly was today when I was moving out. The young female working was awesome but I didn’t get a name. The youngish male was rude, snarky and completely unhelpful. He seemed to be some sort of supervisor. Also, I emailed and called the manager several times for help, due to Covid-19, in possibly waiving any late fees. I have always paid my storage, every month. I don’t accrue late fees. Because of Covid, I have been late the last couple of months. I never heard anything back from anyone. I found somewhere else to store my things.

The letters sent if someone was a day or so late were appalling. Threatening and on no way customer oriented. Just rude. The unit was too expensive given how many units you have to rent, and on a corner street that is less than desirable. Even the “Please note” below is unacceptable given the world we live in now. I will NOT recommend.
