Reserved a 10' truck at 8:30am Sunday, went to the location at 8:30am. Nobody there. Not open until 9am. "Jody" was helpful at 9am. When I returned the truck at 2:00pm I waited in a line as the one guy working there was struggling with how to rent a truck to a customer (maybe he was a trainee?). Jody was trying to help him. We all waited. and waited. Then Jody left the area, with aline of 7-8 customers waiting to be helped. As we left the location I saw Jody out back smoking a cigarette, apparently not interested in helping the waiting customers. I know it's tough working at UHaul on a Sunday, but customer service is very important. I'd rate Jody an "F" for effort and personal relationship with the customer.

We arrived to pick up our cargo van on a busy Saturday, and planned to use the mobile/low touch experience to check in. When we arrived with our reservation, we learned that we needed to go in to get the key. The place was a madhouse, and one of the clerks was about to give our van to someone else due to a mix up - she was completely frazzled but recognized the predicament for what it was and somehow managed to make it all work out. i never knew how busy this business was until Saturday!

The location was great. Even though the 1-800 team over booked and were horrible to work with, this location went out of their way to help. I wouldn't recommend uhaul based on my experience with the 1800 team, but this location made up for it.

Andy was great. Helped me when self-pick wasn't working, grabbed me a mask when I forgot mine at home, quickly got me on the road, and quickly checked me out when I dropped off. He constantly asked what else he could do to help me. Amazing experience. Puts the Rainer Valley crew to shame.

Staff was...not the fastest, but still far better than most u-haul locations. It would be good for you to let your staff know that it's possible to hear someone speaking through a mask - no need to pull up your mask to speak... That defeats the purpose of the mask on the first place.

One box did not have any pads. Boxes didn't arrive on said date, then date was changed without telling me, then date changed again A couple of times. I was told by Jacob that the delivery fee was going to be reimbursed. I have not received it yet. The manager Harley Johnson, has not contacted me, I have left numerous messages. I am very disappointed with the way I am being ignored. Very poor customer service from this department.

There were several technological issues with my check-in. Everything else went very smoothly, but the check-in process took ~30 minutes due to laggy computers and buggy software that deleted my reservation and then created multiple new reservations. Overall, the expense was worth it, and the truck good and the return process was SUPER easy.

The car dollies that you have now, pivot in the center which makes backing up impossible, with a car loaded. Your old design where it was just a dolly and it didn't pivot was much better. I was able to do what I needed to do. The people at the location were very friendly, and professional. I originally made my request at the Burien store however her equipment was not in working condition. She arranged for my rental out of West Seattle. I have no issue whatsoever about the personnel cleanliness any of those things at either location. Next time I'll use an auto transport instead of the dolly. I just thought I would share my experience with you

Trying to fill the gas tank in that thing was damn near impossible... The handle kept stop pumping. I barely had to hold the handle to slowly fill it. Have someone check into that

The equipment was clean and in excellent condition, and the whole process of picking up and dropping off was easy and efficient. 1. Vehicle rented was not clean. Exterior was dirty and not cleaned from previous user. 2. Vehicle needed an OIL CHANGE as the alert appeared on the dash of the truck during initial acceptance inspection. 3. Fuel tank at initial acceptance inspection was not at FULL TANK as indicated on paperwork, yet it was requested to be brought back with a fuel tank.

My comments are based on 5-6 years of renting units from Uhaul and for the most part having awful experiences be the norm instead of the exception. The current manager has been exceptionally polite, professional, and helpful - Uhaul would be lucky to keep him. The flooding of my unit was handled poorly, but worst of all was the management's treatment of me at that time when I was not the cause of the flooding and damage to my stuff. I should have been compensated properly for the damage to my stuff, but I just am too exhausted to do all the work that should have been done by Uhaul to get reimbursed properly. It would have been nice if Uhaul had actually given me free rent for a while after that happened considering I was a customer for years and was a customer for years afterwards. The $500 wasn't nearly adequate to compensate for the damage and stress it caused. It would be nice if the hours to access our units were extended to 8pm, but it doesn't matter personally since I no longer have a unit. I am glad that the location hasn't shut down as it is convenient for all of us in West Seattle. I hope the friendlier service under the new manager is kept up - it's a nice change. In the past employees often were not trained adequately and couldn't do fundamental tasks involved in the job and it was extremely frustrating if a manager wasn't around to handle it. Hopefully employees are being trained more/better now.

Wow! Not what I was expecting. The new reservation system and automated receipts itemizing the milage and fuel status are much appreciated. I was waited on courteously and promptly at both the pick-up and return. The truck was running with AC on waiting for me. Wonderful rental experience.

Uhaul needs to actually allow their customers to do no contact booking through a smartphone, not just advertise for it. I was told by the website that I could pick up the truck before the location opened, however when I got there, the reservation was changed to "a hand delivery". This delayed my move by several hours. I had hired movers and lost half of the time I paid for them. This is despicable. I am asking for a full refund of both my truck rental and my movers cost. Other than that, this location was understaffed. Since I couldn't pick up my truck early, I was fortunate to be first in line. When I finally got the keys, there was a line of 10 people behind me and one person working.

Labor day weekend monday. James helped me knowledgeable. He took care of me other rentals returning rentals. Propane tank filled he got me a locker perfect. This man was only employee there. Excellent. But U HSUL COULD HAVE HAD SOMEONE ELSE THERE YO HELP IS IT NOT UNSAFE TO HAVE ONLY 1 PERSON THERE. BIG CORP SHOULD HIRE MORE PEOPLE. REGARDS JACK😷😷😊

You gave me a truck with a half full tank of gas & told me to return it full. No one answered when I called after hours to ask an agent about how unfair that is. I only drove it 25 miles & replaced the gas I used & returned the truck with the same amount of gas I rented it with. I don't think I should be responsible for filling up a full tank when I was not given a full tank. This is a scam & crappy business practices. I was charged an extra $15 for gas I didn't use. Get it together!!

You can never find the staff. The only time anyone has been somewhat friendly was today when I was moving out. The young female working was awesome but I didn’t get a name. The youngish male was rude, snarky and completely unhelpful. He seemed to be some sort of supervisor. Also, I emailed and called the manager several times for help, due to Covid-19, in possibly waiving any late fees. I have always paid my storage, every month. I don’t accrue late fees. Because of Covid, I have been late the last couple of months. I never heard anything back from anyone. I found somewhere else to store my things.

The letters sent if someone was a day or so late were appalling. Threatening and on no way customer oriented. Just rude. The unit was too expensive given how many units you have to rent, and on a corner street that is less than desirable. Even the “Please note” below is unacceptable given the world we live in now. I will NOT recommend.
