Sadly, we had a poor experience with the owner of this location. I went into the store and said to the sales representative that I was here to return the trailer rental and that if she could print the invoice so that I could review the total invoice. I informed the sales representative that I would park the trailer and come back inside and pay with my debit card . When I came back inside after removing the trailer from my truck, the owner stepped-in and proceeded to charged my credit card without going over the final invoice with me. I asked them to revert the charges back on my credit card as I was paying with my debit card. But the owner said it's too late he charged my credit card. I asked to see the final invoice as the total invoice appeared high. Upon request of a copy of the final invoice, I reviewed the invoice and there were 2 charges that were not approved. Charge of 63$ + 90$. The first charge was for a dolly that we did not rent or have with the trailer and the second unauthorized charge was 90$ for optional daily insurance which I did not request. When I asked for a refund of these two unauthorized charges the owner was no in agreement and told me that he already charged my credit card and I should take it up with Uhaul company. This was not a pleasant conversation and certainly not good customer service. This was unprofessional and unpleasant experience, all could of been avoided if only the owner had not acted so harshly and charging my credit card without reviewing the final fees/charges with me, as he would of noticed the erroneous charges, if he just taken the time and practiced good customer service; communicate and review the final invoice with the customers. My spouse was with me during this and he was shocked at how unprofessional this was handled.JAMESG L.

My pickup location was changed from Gatineau to Bryson at the 11th hour with no real explanation other than there was high demand. This excuse defeats the whole purpose of a reservation. This change cost me a lot of money, stress and lost time. This was a dreadful experience. $60 bucks ( which has not been applied) does not come close to the cost incurred.Michael I.

The straps need to be replaced on the tow dolly I rented. They were frayed and damaged I have pictures. I connected myself. Adjusted myself. Good thing that I've been renting this type of equipment for over 20 years. When leave I stated the damage. No one looked. It took pictures. When I dropped off did everything myself and gave the different has bar attendant the same information about the the damage. No one looked. I took pictures. I'm happy I got done what I needed to done so overall I'm fine. But not sure other less knowledge would fair out. I pritty much did everything myself. Discount?Jason F.
The web site reservation did not work well on my phone. Went through and made my selections but when I confirmed some had changed. It was corrected at pick up location. In the end it all worked out great. 5 stars!Paul H.
I reserved a uhaul (10') 9 days before my pick up and less than 24h before I got a call saying there was no uhaul for me anymore and there were none available in Ottawa... this was unacceptable since I was moving the next day. I called back and got a new reservation for Almonte For a 20' truck and that very day the Uhaul which was reserved for me was taken. They then reserved me something an HOUR away in Quebec. I had no choice but to go because uhaul put me in a jam and I couldn't reserve any other company for my move because it was last minute. Once I got the uhaul it was fine, but because of the poor service I had to get the uhaul later than what I wanted so it Made the 7h move unbearable. I will never rent from uhaul again, this was unacceptable and such poor service. I would never recommend uhaul to anyone. This company should be ashamed.Tamara B.

First off we booked our truck one month before pick up at the ultramar gas station in bryson quebec. The man owner of the gas station tried to over charge us by an extra 200.00 bucks. When our rated was 121.00 plus our moving pads an dolly. He didnt know how to use the computer system. To where we had to wait over an hour to leave with the truck from there yard. My self an wife called uhaul over this matter. Plus on top of that we got one load to our new home. An found that a outter tire had an hole in the side wall. So we called uhaul road side to report it. The lady said she call me back in 30mins well that never happen .. After 2 hours i called u haul back to find out that this lady i spoke to never even put the call out for help. So this second lady i spoke with from u haul stated for sure someone will call us back this time. 2 hours go by so a total of 4 hours now. We get a call from a man an tells us they dont have any service locations around us to come change the tire an could we drive the uhaul back to the dealer 40mins away. Like what the hell u pay for the road side help then your told no noone can help u wtf.. So as we still didnt feel safe to drive it we did. Back to the ultramar gas bar.. An again the same man took him over another hour to do a exchange of another truck. To where my wife an i had to call u haul again... Out of all my years using uhaul this is an has been the worse expericance in my life . an having kids with us on our move... I feel with all of this that my self an family should be fully reimbursted all if our money back plus our gas that we had to put in both truck of 120.00 on top of 154.00.. With all of this that happen we didnt get done are move until 230am in the morning mean while we picked up the first truck at 9am in the morning.. If uhaul dont make this right an reemburse us money back. Plus on top of all of this we had to have the second truck back at 9am after getting our move dont at 230am... Serious....then i will be reporting them to the better bussness buro. An will be making a public post to the local news where we live. I feel after all that happen an the hold up we should be fully rembursted our money. We could have been stuck on the side of the road with no help... An with kids. If uhaul dont correct this an there service problem on top of what ive already stated this is an was our last time using uhaul. An in the future will will use any other company out there like buget ect.. So i hope uhaul gets in touch with me asap.Lee M.

-Vehicle was dirty in cab and box. -Summer tires in winter(illegal in our province) but vehicle has Arizona plates, dont think they get much snow lol. -Brakes spongee -Steering was loose -Vehicle needs a wheel balancing pulls to the right. -Not filled with gas, which makes it a guessing game when you have to put gas back in truck. (I was told to fill it until the gas needle is where it was when you started. REALLY! â€¢ if vehicle is full of gas when picked up, renter simply has to top it up and no fuss no must. -Was not asked to sign a contract, which seem strange on a Rental vehicle. Staff was very friendly, courteous and respectful. Â° I believe this would fall to your fleet maintenance team. Yes I would rent again your rates a very reasonable.Mark L.

This is my second rental, and I will never again use U-haul. Perhaps you don't have enough competition. The reservation process is awful, and when my driver showed up to pick up the truck, he had to fill in a bunch of papers, despite my having reserved and settled everything online. And then, when he returned the truck, he had to charge to his credit card, despite me having provided my cc info at time of reservation. This is unacceptable. I'm a 60 yo woman. Do you think that I'll be picking up a 20 cf truck? I am so angry right now, I can barely see straight.DANIELLE B.
