Owner is great and very helpful. You can leave your car there if needed. The truck had a full tank. Not like other places where it is sometimes quarter of a tank and you have to estimate how much to get it to that level at return. The online check-in is laborious and then seems to hang at several times. The owner ended up checking me in very fast, and took care of the return, no problem. Super convenient being able to fill up there.Todd B.
Rating is mixed. Normally give this location great service. This rental fraught with overwhelming disappointments: - site refused to extend, â€œ â€¦what do you want me to do?â€¦â€ - Ottawa Traffic Department - employee â€¦ â€œthere is a note on your file to redirect all dealings to a General Managerâ€¦.(what??) - On Duty Mgr (she refused) â€œâ€¦to extend your rental past an add'l 5hrsâ€¦â€, she refused to redirect the equipment's next reservation, then she refused to explain her decision or offer a resolution (which is her job), and hung up on me. - I was forced to empty fully loaded trailer onto my own property - As a former General Mgr for the company, I would NEVER have treated a client in this manner and would have gone above and beyond to help the client find a resolution. This time aroundâ€¦1 starâ€¦because can't give anything lower.Michael P.

I requested a trolley two and a half weeks prior to my move-in date, and was only told when I was picking up the truck the morning of my move that they didn't actually have a trolley at all (Why offer it as an option/add-on if you can't supply your customers with one?) Then they attempted to accuse me of staining the passenger seat with "paint oil" (?) after I returned the truck... I didn't move any paint at all OR actually place anything on the passenger seat. Got the impression that they were trying to sneak in extra charges when I returned the truck in the exact same condition I found it in (Speaking of which the truck was severely outdated and not in great condition at all, if I'm being honest). I honestly wouldn't suggest this location to friends or family.Pina F.

Not as much location problem as U-HAUL. Did reservation 3 weeks in advance with mobile pick up. When I called to verify,the night before, I learned that no set up made even though my reservation had confirmation for this service. I had to have up 1 hr of my reservation. Absolute lack of effort to correct this. Terrible, horrible no good company.Anna C.
When I arrived 2 minutes after they opened, the person responsible was outside. When he returned, he had to check the vehicle back in (in the system) before he was able to rent it. About 15 minutes later, I left. The area has very little parking for people renting and I am happy that they are busy but waiting 10 minutes to return is also a hassleChrista D.

I leave the fuel at the same level I picked it up and they charged me an insane amount extra. (I have the pictures to prove it). Super expensive and the extras they charge you are completely overpriced and invented. My experience was a robbery.Jorge B.

The trailer I rented had some non working clearance lights and the jack needed greasing. They very easy to deal with, but have to maintain the equipment more carefully.Greg R.

The person did not go to the vehicle with me. There was some garbage left in the truck. Wrappers (food). Non of the items that I paid for were in the truck. No dolly or furniture pads had to drive across town (25min each way ) to get furniture pads at main u-haul location and had to do the move without the dolly.Jason T.

The service here is less than courteous, curt and actually condescending!! I used the truck to travel a total of 9 kilometers!!! When I returned it it was still past the full line so when asked if I put gas in it, I said it was still full. I was rudely told that I still needed to fill it. I suggested that a few dollars be added to the bill, the response " no, if you don't put the gas in it, I will have to do it" !!! Lazy, discourteous and just plain rude!!! The least he could have done is state that policy did not allow it, not that it would have made sense but it would have at least been polite!!! So I put $3 worth of gas in it, waited 10 minutes in line and then he had the nerve to thank me for my patronage!!!!! Really, empty words at its most obvious form!!!! Just how stupid can someone think they are calling you to your face without them thinking that you recognize it!!! Also, please explain why I had to send a copy of the front and back of my driver's license when I booked online, if I had to produce it again when I picked up the truck. Certainly looks like to me like this man is too lazy to look up the requested sent ID or I was asked to send it for nothing!!!! When I apologized for taking time to find my Driver's license, this ignorant man actually compared me to his wife in a negative fashion!! Overall, this experience was infuriating!!! This man is a menace to public relations and just cost you any repeat business from me and from anyone who I can influence in any way. Nit that this moronic individual would actually care. His co-worker was obviously embarrassed by him! If he is an employee, he should be fired, there would be no curing that kind of disregard for "women ". Hello Madam/Sir, Very bad experience: First, I am charged extra, then, your call center talked to me rudely. I am charged $65 (40+25) more than required on my credit card. I called U-Haul, but my concerns and issues were not heard; the manager did not let me speak. She hung up the phone on me. I felt very disrespectful and disappointed with U-Haul. The man was extremely rude. When I returned the car and went home. Around an hour later, i got a message of extra 24 dollars charge. He didn't tell me that he will charge me extra when i checked out. When i called him, he said it is for extra mileage. I didn't do any extra mileage. He cheated meragaee I.
Only issue was trying to refuel at the location and that was simply because of inconsiderate drivers cutting in front of a 26ft truck that was trying to get to the pumps.Mark E.

We have been U-Haul customers for a long time. This is our first time renting at Prince of Wales Drive in Nepean Ontario. We took advantage of the online check-in. Upon arrival, the female asked me for my DL and credit card. She then asked if this is our first time to rent at UHaul. I advised that I've rented at other locations in the past. She then mentioned that the procedures are the same for all locations. When I mentioned that it was not exactly the same and that we should just continue with the check-in as I prefer not to argue, the female told me to step out of the store. She then attended to another customer with spiteful intentions. She mentioned that she has the right to refuse service. Refusing service to customers who are disrespectful and/or rude is valid. Having an opinion about a matter however does not make me rude or disrespectful. While this does not reflect UHaul in general, it certainly was not a pleasurable experience. Having read other google reviews for this particular location, it is not a surprise I received such a low level of customer service. As a friendly suggestion, UHaul Corporate HO should engage with their dealers where more than one customer has expressed displeasure. Being a dealer does not entitle anyone to treat customers this way. Not even the owner or CEO of UHaul is entitled to treat customers this way, nobody is.Robert L.
