The vehicle was picked up with a tank of gas that was half full. Returning the vehicle with exactly half a tank is much more difficult than returning a vehicle with a full tank. In the opinion of the people working at this location, I returned the vehicle with ONE LITRE less than a half tank. I was charged $24 for the one litre. First, all vehicles should be provided with a full tank of gas to avoid any issues. Second, even if the $24 to add a litre a gas is in the contract, this is robbery. I will be warning my friends and family about using U-Haul because of this policy.
