Rented a 5x8 enclosed trailer from U-Haul and was disappointed with the condition. The unit had visible rust, and the ramp door felt unstable when loading, to the point that it seemed unsafe. Equipment like this should be properly maintained and safe to use. This experience definitely needs improvement, especially on inspection and upkeep.

Make sure equipment is clean and well maintained. Our original order was for a van from this location, then we were switched to another location. Then we were told, the night before the pick up that the second location did not open until 1:30PM, too late for us. We were told we had to go back to our original location but would have to take a much bigger unit than we needed (but at the same price as the van). We refilled the truck on return but then were charged an extra $20 for more gas which may/may have been excessive. A greater degree of accuracy in terms of what's available at an outlet would have been helpful. We have had reasonably good service from this location in the past so would still recommend it as, other than the dirty truck , the problems seemed to be corporate.

Didn’t help me with the final bill of sale or gave me a customer service number to ask for a discount bcz I returned the hauler after 2days instead of 5days. He didn’t have the right tone to explain and kept saying it’s the way U-Haul does and the bill is final. Even if the bill is final, just give a U-Haul customer support number and he would have directed me to call there or even email but no, he had to keep talking.

Truck was filthy, covered in stones that made the ramp immovable, and the ramp retention mechanism was broken. It also was not filled with gas, only 1/4 tank. The location was a gas station, why was the truck not filled up? Also, we were not given the dollies we requested due "to high demand" which is utter garbage - the lot was very full and it is mid week March, not June 1st. Very disappointed.

Wasn't notified the truck I booked is unavailable. Was given keys to a smaller truck without being told that it was a different truck. Had to contact support to confirm that the dealer changed it without informing. Had to take multiple trips in the smaller truck and double the payment to movers since it took longer than it would have with the bigger truck. Worst experience ever

I picked up the car on the evening and loaded it at my house and when I was closing the door, it was stuck half way through, I contacted support and couldn’t get road side assistance and it’s been delayed till morning. My whole house is in a truck sitting on the road with door open, very bad service

This is twice I've been directed to this location when renting a truck and the staff at this location are very uninformed and not very helpful. They charge more than estimated online and have no answers. They just say "call uhaul". The truck was a bit damaged but good overall. It was however dirty inside with garbage and debris that needed cleaning by us before use. We got a $50 rebate separately for the change in location this last time we rented but it was quite expensive for the service we got.

The gauge for gas went down quite a bit right after i left and then i drove 27 km and put 9 litres of gas ( 1 litre of gas every 3 km ??? Really?? ) nd left it with same amount of gas and still got charged 12 dollar for gas . I even got the gas from same gas station where this uhaul is located in. I would never recommend any of my friend , infact i will stop them before they get a truck here.

In all honesty, in comparison to other rental companies, Uhaul is definitely over priced. I would recommend to lower the mileage charge. I spent just over $360 for using the vehicle for less than 6 hours. Competition is less than $200. I compared prices after using Uhaul today and both include insurance coverage and mileage.

Allow the customer to start the vehicle while the paper work is beings processed. Especially when the temperature was -30 degrees. It was so cold that the vehicle almost didn’t start. The guy at the front counter was asked many times to allow me to go start it. He was rude, controlling and down right disrespectful. He was the younger guy. Not one of the owners. I rented from the same place 2 days ago form the younger owner. He allows me to start the rental while the paper work was beings processed. Thus allowing a quicker and more efficient process. I rent a lot from U-Haul. I have never been treated this way. Absolutely horrible experience.

Some of the people working to book the U-Haul service are very rude. I fuel the truck with gas to the same graduate as was before and charge me again for gas. People working on this gas station do not respect customers and they are so ignorant. Thanks

Clean the snow off a rental truck that is being picked up! And provide snow brushes/scrapers in the vehicle. This is Canada in the winter! Also, the truck's gas cap was not closed, allowing blowing snow to enter the tank. The attendant was friendly and helpful, but was also trying to run the gas station. Probably better to rent during nicer weather.

I drove 56 km with a 20-foot truck and refueled 10 liters myself before returning it. However, I was charged for an additional 14 liters after drop-off. Based on normal fuel consumption for this size of truck, the total fuel used should have been around 13–14 liters, not 24 liters. It appears the fuel charge was based solely on the fuel gauge reading rather than actual usage. Clearer guidance on refueling expectations, or more precise fuel level documentation at pickup and return, would help avoid confusion for customers. I would appreciate this charge being reviewed.

There is next to no space to properly drive the trucks on their property (especially navigating the busy gas station and snow)! I received the truck and the floor inside of it (in the back part) was soaked and dirty with mud. I get it. It’s winter but at least mop it out for the next customer. The truck itself wouldn’t go over 80kms on the queensway which wasn’t fun due to traffic speed was in a 100km/h zone. And honestly, it sounded like it needed a good tune up. When we returned the truck, I parked it in their lot but not behind their building with the other trucks because it was too hard to navigate and I wasn’t going to risk hitting anything. The “gentleman”, I’ll assume owner, was quite rude and obviously ticked with me when I said I wasn’t going to move it to the back. I didn’t get a receipt or acknowledgement of kms driven like every other uhaul place gives. Instead, I was brushed off and told me he didn’t need anything else from me and I could go. The establishment itself was dirty, gross and I’d think not to U-Haul standards and top that with the attitude I got for not wanting to do HIS job, I’ll never use this U-Haul location again.

The gas gauge was marked inappropriately when we left, and despite filling the gas more than we used when returning it we were still charged for the fill up. I presented the receipt for the gas when I returned it and was told it was not needed, and was not allowed to dispute the erroneous bill when it was sent to me. The mileage was also suspect (gps calculated ~75% of the stated usage).

The storage of the truck was dirty. Broken plastic, rusty nails and general dirt. Also, when I booked it, I booked a furniture dolly and moving blankets. Went was I only informed THE DAY OF that they didn't have it? That's not how reservations work. You don't deserve a restaurant table will in advance, get to a restaurant and they tell you because they're busy you don't get a table at all. Like, figure it out. Why in the year of our Lord, 2025, do you have no process for moving things where they're needed?

My credit card was on file and I checked in prior to picking up trailer, providing photos of my drivers license through the app. When I arrived, I was required to provide both credit card and drivers license again at this location which is duplication of effort on my part. Unnecessary. Other than that, everything was fine.
