My oldest son wanted to move back home from LA to San Diego. I reserved my Uhaul online which was super easy. Once we got to the pick up location, they verified everything and we were out within 15 minutes. The staff at that location was very friendly and knowledgable.JERMAINE D.

The U Haul app is extremely slow to the point where it is not usable. A process that should take 5 mins to drop the truck off took 30 mins. Don't make an app if you are unable to make it work properly.Amanda R.

I have to say that I was shocked that the interior was not wiped down. If they know that a customer is renting that day, someone should wipe it down. The interior was covered in dust and when I wiped it with a handwipe, the white cloth turned filthy brown/black, as if it hadn't been wiped down in months, if not years. It was so disgusting and considering that we are living in a time of Covid, the workers at this location MUST wipe down the interior thoroughly before each rental, including the inside and outside handles of the truck. I never felt so unsafe!!! The staff needs to be alerted to this.Randi R.

I had an online reservation for 4 hours. When I arrived at the location, the staff made me log out of Uhaul app and had me sign new papers and basically created a new reservation for me (I believe for commission purposes as this location is authorized partner) and after returning the vehicle with more gas that was provided to me I was charged $80+ and wasn't sent a breakdown of charges or even provided with a receipt. The weirdest thing is that on my credit card bill I have two charges of $60+ and $20+ from them now so the whole experience seems sketchy and shady. On rental contract I put truck needs light cleaning but it charged me $25 but hope the Mgr at the rental took it off. There was a lot of work involved on returning, to much and thought the Mgr could have helped as it was before they closed at 3pm. Is the receipt attached for the rental correct? I am not pleased with the check-out process of my uhaul rental. When returning the vehicle I spent approximately 20 minutes attempting to check out but the uhaul website would not recognize my location. I had enabled my location on my phone but for some reason your site did not recognize it. Since I was unable to check out through this method I called the Mailbox rental place and left them a VM stating such. The next day I was very disappointed to see a $20 charge on my bill which I was told was due to the checkout process. I called uhaul to file a complaint on Saturday but I have not heard from anyone yet as the individual I spoke to did not have authority to reverse the charge. She was very kind and admittedly stated it is not uncommon for people to have difficulty checking out through your website. I feel very strongly this charge should be reversed as such. Aside from this, I had a very pleasurable experience with my rental and if this is rectified I would gladly rent from you again.Aaron K.

1) overcharges two different times, first time big time !!!!! 2) cars very wobbly, running to the sides. 3) cars could have been washed outside - not so clean for California condition, where there is no rain. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Van was dirty and full of equipment unwanted and not included in my rental. Also - they want you to park 4 blocks away and walk back to get your rental. Won't use this location ever again - very inconvenient across the board.Brad N.

it was not a good start as the car i was suppose to pick up was not available. i was told they tried to reach me 5 times the day before but didn't leave me any volce mail and my phone history didn't show any records of them calling. all other options U haul provided that morning during pick up would not have worked for me due to my tight moving schedule. Med the manager at that location was able to provide an option where i was able to accomplish what i needed to work for the day so i am grateful of his suggestion even if it meant my trip got a lot longer than i had hoped for on a one way rental. so it was a nightmare at the start as no one contacted me about the truck was not available the day before and U Haul was not able to provide a workable option. Med the manager was able to provide an option that saved the day even if meant I have to return the truck at the same pickup location instead of one way that woudl have saved 3 hours of my time and 70 extra miles of driving during rush hour.ROBERT T.

Worse Uhaul experience ever. Agent was smug, condescending, unhelpful, inappropriate and unprofessional overall. The car wasn't filled up with gas, was not able to provide what I ordered when I reserved online, didn't explain the additional charges, including a higher insurance rate for the location (Beverly Hills...ridiculous!)...asked me to travel across town to another Uhaul to pick up the six blankets and dolly I had ordered, and when that was impossible due to the fact that I had two movers with me on the clock, etc...he "let me know" he just happened to have plenty of blankets for sale (nicely wrapped near the register by the way.) Not ok! ) When I became frustrated then, and again upon returning and finding out that he wasn't able to explain the charges, this representative asked me to. "breathe" and take it easy....what is that? So unprofessional! This was the gist of how all was responded to...smug! NOT OK! I was. charged way over what I was told I would pay online...$180 for the 2-day cargo van rental to include insurance and I added additional miles over the 100 included per day! This is absurd...never had such a terrible experience with UHaul...not sure I will use again. Please fix this! thank youRaquel P.

When I arrived the guy at the counter looked surprised I had a reservation. My truck was not there. He did some research and found out whoever had my truck before me had not returned it. Although he was able to give me someone else's reserved truck in the meantime, you need to tell your third party vendors that perhaps they could check their reservations each morning and if there's not a truck there they should call whoever has that truck and get it there. And then to top it off, he told me I could drop it off any time and if it was after hours I would simply use the online process to return it and put the keys in the dropbox - yet after I dropped if off at 11:45pm I was charged double the quoted rate of $19.95. So although the general experience wasn't horrible, it definitely wasn't good.MICHAEL C.

I had requested to rent two dollys along with my truck however I never received them. They were not in the car and were not given to me by the worker who gave me the keys. I was then charged for the dollys even after I submitted a dispute of charges and heard nothing back. That was my biggest problem with my experience.Deeksha K.

They didn't have the vehicle I reserved and did not give me my $50 credit as guaranteed on the uhaul.com and they forgot to give me my bed protection bag that I ordered and paid for. Plus they made me take a larger vehicle and changed me more for it. Very poor business. To top it off, there wasn't even a place for me to leave my car while I rented the vehicle.... in fact the attendant told me to park in the local neighborhood and I risked getting a ticket! This was my first time renting a uhaul and my last.Jonathan D.
