Hello, I directly copied and pasted this from an email I sent to U-Haul three times without any acknowledgement. As you'll notice, the screenshots of my order are not displayed here. I'm severely disappointed in my experience with U-Haul this past week... as I'm typing this email right now, I'm continuously being charged for multiple reservations that I did NOT authorize. On Monday, October 2nd I created an account on U-Haul's website. I proceeded to rent a vehicle that I could pick up in one zip code and drop off in another, as shown: ? ? ?I selected a 9" CARGO VAN at a rate of $19.95 + $0.69/mile. I completed the rental reservation online and received an email titled Your U-Haul order showing a summary of the order placed. The email below was sent to me at 3:54pm. Reservation Number: 20623927 ? Please note the rental was set for 4 hours on Monday, October 2nd, pickup time of 5:30pm from United Mailboxes 8549 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90211. This location was close to where I work, but far from where I live, hence the different pick-up/drop-off zip codes. From work, I took an Uber to the pick-up location - United Mailboxes. I went inside and told a woman and a man at the desk that I was picking up a Cargo Van that I reserved online. I called earlier in the day right after completing my online reservation to confirm this vehicle's availability. I gave my credit card info at this time, as well. The woman came behind the desk, got on her computer, and told me the keys were waiting for me in the driver's side door. I asked if there was anything else I needed to do and she said no. This was my first time renting a U-Haul vehicle so after confirming with her that I was all set, I assumed I was good to go, as I had already given my card info, received email confirmations, and now received the key to drive. The first issue arose when I confirmed with her the different drop-off location, yet she seemed to be completely unaware of this, and I explained to her that was the only option given to me online. She told me to call U-Haul's 1-800 # to resolve this issue. I was extremely disappointed in this case because it was very inconvenient for me to come all the way back to the pick-up location after using the vehicle. I chose U-Haul because of the convenience, and flexibility to pick up and drop off in different zip codes. It extremely failed me on this front as I was not told until my reservation was complete (and emailed to me) that the drop off must be the same as pick up location. Otherwise, I would have gone a completely different route. Either through U-Haul or another similar business. The employee at United Mailboxes was not at fault for this. I thanked her and went on my way with my Cargo Van rental. After calling U-Haul's 1-800 #, my issue with location drop-off was not resolved. I felt backed into a corner because I'd already paid for this rental, so I disappointedly gave up on that. I began driving my

I liked the convenience of the location. the transaction from online reservation to pickup to return was easy and seamless. overall very good experience.Two things I can comment to improve. I was not informed until I was picking up the van I could not leave my car on the premises while I used the van. very inconvenient since I had driven to pickup the van. the other being the interior cab was dirty. It should of been cleaned up at least a little. I would rent from that location again. Thanks.....

They gave me a rate that multiplied 6 times more when I was picking up the car. Then they have this false advertisement saying I will save if I check in at their location. Only after I was done checking in they told me there is nothing to save I just get a bottle of water.

The Cargo Van was filthy, completely opposite from clean!!! This Van was cleaner on the outside (yet, was NOT washed) than on the inside. I drove 261 miles in such a dirty, smelly van. UNACCEPTABLE!!! The Customer Service at this location was Good. Location is very convenient - that is why I would recommend it to a friend.

Not having parking available was a HUGE inconvenience. I had to park many blocks away and cross a busy street with no crosswalk. The furniture pads and dollies I ordered weren't available, and the ones that were I had to load in the van myself with no ramp or help. The van was dirty and there was no windshield wiper fluid. Only one person working the desk at check-in and people had to wait a long time. I will never use Uhaul again as I always leave disappointed with the quality and service.

Better training for the Employees because I was charged extra. I return the vehicle at 4:30 and I was told I would receive a receipt via email. But the employee purposely entered the vehicle at 5:23 which puts the vehicle over 24 hours. I would like you to review the camera on when the vehicle arrived and keys were returned on the lot. Then I would like a refund of the amount for being charged an additional 24 hour rate. I will come by in the morning to dispute and I would like to see the manager as well when I get there.

The van I rented was extremely dirty had food stuck in the air vents and smelled like cat urine. The outside of the vehicle was equally as unmaintained, the front bumper was starting to fall off on one side and the exhaust looked like it would fall off if you went over a bump.

I booked a GUARANTEED pick up at 9am at the Box Depot location on Fairfax. The reservation website said that I would need the uhaul app to pick up the truck because 9am was outside of the location's normal business hours. A few days later I received an email confirmation that showed a location on Wilshire, which was different address than the one I originally booked. I called uhaul to ask why the location did not match. You told me that the location on the email was not relevant and that the reservation was still at the original fairfax location. When I arrived at 9am at the Box Depot on fairfax, the location was locked, and the app told me to go to the Wilshire location. I then went to the Wilshire location and again logged on to the app, at which point the app told me that there was no equipment assigned to my rental. I saw the owner, who told me they do not open until 10am and that I would have to wait. I eventually picked up my truck at about 10:30am after waiting in line. I was not able to pick up my truck at the location NOR the time originally scheduled. I called uhaul customer service, who was very rude and promised me that a manager would call me within 48 hours. It has now been over a WEEK and I have not been contacted. You must issue a $50 refund AS GUARANTEED IN WRITING ON YOUR WEBSITE because my truck was not available at the time or place I originally booked.

The vehicle was in a dangerous state. One of the tires exploded and clearly had not been maintenance in a timely or proper fashion. Uhaul then did not compensate me for the time, hassle, and predicament even though I was assured some sort of discount would be applied when I returned the vehicle. In addition, my roommate who rented a truck the same day, had issues with the engine starting, causing her to turn the truck in late, which Uhaul in turn charged her for. What a scam. When a company provides a service, they should not charge you if their equipment is incapable of performing/completing that service. I will definitely be looking into other options when I need to move again.

We always use this location. It is small but easy breezy. We were a little frustrated as when we called the morning of pick-up to verify all was in order, he couldn't find the reservation. But we all worked it out (it was made through the 800 number...) and the van was ready to go!
