My original reservation made 5 days in advance was never processed. Therefore, I had to make a new one. I asked for a van and when I got to the location I was told they don't have a van for me and that I was signed up for a truck. The truck was too big, very uncomfortable to drive.

They should know where the truck is so customers don't have to walk around in 100 degree temp. to find the truck! Also, the minute I pulled away from the curb, the check tire light came on. The truck obviously was not looked at after the previous user. There was only one person working at the time and could not leave the office, there should always be 2 people even on Sunday!

We should have been informed that we would have to return it electronically. On Sunday at 12 PM we were there to return it but it was closed. We finally found the box and went online and their website froze multiple times. If we had known, we would have been there much earlier. Got completely over double charged. I am extremely UPSET. Everything that I had signed up for I was charged more than double for?!?!?!?!??! I think this is more of a corporate issue than a location issue. When I first got an estimate online it was $95 with insurance and pads and the dolly for two days. When I got the final bill it was roughly $170. I find these extra fees that were not initially listed to be very deceiving and will most definitely impact my decision to go with u-haul again in the future.

I reserved a van 4 days in advance the day I’m supposed to pick it up they gave it to someone else then I call them to ask if they have one there they tell me yes to come quick! I get there sign contract then the owner tells me it’s a 10 foot truck that the van parked out front is for someone else!! This guy has the worst customer service and is a con artist the time before when I rented from him he tried to charge my American Express for extra days I didn’t use. All around the worst service I’ve ever had not to mention attitude. After he gave away my reservation and I asked why his response was “ why you crying over spilled milk! It’s already done just move on!” Just ridiculous

Being charge for cleaning fee and the truck I dropped off is clean. I receive the truck with half tank of gas and returned with over half tank but being charged EZ fuel sales of $7.88. I didn't receive any furniture pads and again I was charged for 5 furniture pads. I called to dispute the charge and they just told me to call 1-800-Uhaul.

The "dolly" I rented was not usable. It had a shredded tire that was not noticeable until I had loaded boxes on it at the job site. The cargo van was clean on the inside but filthy on the outside.

Did not receive a walk through, or check out. Was simply handed the keys. No confirmation of milage or damage and as a result had issues when the pickup truck was returned. Would not rent from this location again. Absolutely terrible compared to dedicated U-Haul location near downtown LA (U-Haul Moving & Storage of Downtown, 1836 S Arapahoe St, Los Angeles, CA 90006) that I rented from 2 days later, where I received great customer service, a full check out process that was double checked, relevant information highlighted on my contract, and I also had it pointed out to me how to save gas when returning via the pamphlet.

If your sales persons are going to erroneously round up gas mileage, they should accept the same rounding up upon return. I purchased gas before my return, hours in advance. Clearly, I didn't wish to be charged for gas. However, I was charged, and evidently, I should have taken time out of my busy and already stressful time (moving) upon pickup, to teach your 3rd party sales reps how to read. I don't care if the amount is a ~$5 charge or a $50, if they're wrong, they're wrong. I already paid an absurd sum of money for a less than 24 hour rental, to then be charged over something that wasn't actually correct. Maybe this is a ploy that is done because of the Beverly Hills location, or, even your company's lack of integrity. I certainly won't be using this branch again, that is, if I even bother with this company again. My experience is extremely soured by the inadequacies of this branch, 3rd party or not.

In authorized charges. Slow service and poor help. The man at the register kept saying how he’s in a hurry to finish a big print order and made it known that my time didn’t matter and his number one concern was that Job. He even rang me up for a Dollie and then forgot to give it to me. I told him the gas meter was off from what that had it marked at before I left. His assistant said it was fine and they would adjust it when I got back. I checked my receipt and I was charged for gas replacement



This review has very little to do with the above location, and everything to do with the flawed U-haul corporate model and the lack of customer support or the ability to fix a problem created by U-haul"s rental scheduling practices. I had arranged to pick up a van at a location on Pico at La Cienega. I had chosen that location because it would allow me to move the items I needed to move with a minimum amount of mileage incurred. On Sunday, the day before I was to pick up the van, I received an email, from U-haul, telling me that the van I had scheduled would not be available at that location and that another van had been scheduled for me at the above location, on Wilshire. Not the most efficient location for me, but better than a number of other locations. When I arrived at the Wilshire location I discovered that the van scheduled for my pick up time of 09:00 was not available. I was offered a truck with a box, at the same price as the van. I declined that option because, as I explained to the person at the counter, the truck with a box would be too tall to fit under a low ceiling that was at the bottom of a long steep driveway and if I took the truck, it would add an extra hour to my loading time. I had hired two laborers to start at 10:30. The cost of the laborers was $80/hr. The person at the counter tried calling central operations to find out if they could bring me a van. They could not and said that the truck with the box was the same height as the van. The person behind the counter checked the spec sheet they had and said yes, the box was the same size as the van. With some skepticism, I reluctantly agreed to take the van. I didn't have much of a choice. When I got to the truck, it was immediately obvious that it was much taller than the van. By then it was too late to do much. I had to get to my location to meet with the laborers. I had to park the truck at the bottom of the long steep driveway and yes, it took an additional hour, at $80.00/hr, to get that portion of the job done. So, what can U-haul do to improve for the next customer? Try having the vehicles that you claim to have for a customer actually at the location that the customer scheduled the pick up. No excuses, no sending the customer to another location, where you think there is going to be a vehicle. Have the vehicle where you say it will be, when you say it will be. Pretty simple concept.
