Please have an experienced u-haul certified employee to assist customers in renting a u-haul truck. This is one of the worst experience I have ever had with a company. Examples of this include: putting me on a call on their personal cell phone (handing me their own phone that isn't sanitized during Covid times) to speak to someone else without an explanation as to why or whom I will be speaking with; not giving me a receipt once I have paid for a u-haul rental; said person over the phone adding another charge after paying without receiving a receipt in person; not giving me a proper bill in person on return of the truck (which I was also promised a certain return time for the truck which wasn't reflected in any emails I received); speaking to a different person who was said to be the regional manager over the phone days later and still not getting answers about a proper receipt either via email or whatever was going to be offered; getting an email today and it saying I owe money that was already paid the date of the return of the truck; the email also said at the end to email if I had any other questions/concerns; I reply to the email with a question of why it says I still owe a balance and I get a reply of the person is away until Dec. 15 and will investigate the matter. Yet, how are they replying to my emails now, but can't reply when I question the questionable things that have been happening with this situation from the beginning on Nov. 28, 2021. This has been a very stressful situation that should not have happened. Better customer service, knowledgeable staff, and staff willing to rectify a problem that arises as opposed to â€œgoing on vacationâ€. I would like to speak to head office because I don't want another customer to go through what we have been through with u-haul since Nov. 28, 2021.MARGARET V.

When a customer secures a reservation, ensure there is a way for them to retrieve the key to use it. We were on a tight schedule and spent 45 of our 4 hour reso searching for a lockbox and on hold with customer service. We finally were redirected to the Unsworth location, and were literally handed the keys. We didn't even think to do a pretty trip inspection, and after driving for 30 minutes the gas light came on. I put in $40, returned it with 1/8 tank, and got billed the $76 for not returning it with the same fuel. But the level was never agreed on; and the failure to provide a key for the original location caused this mess.Kevin M.

The counter person spoke NO English and did not know what they were doing with respect to UHaul rental. Did not supply dolly as per contract so that we had to go back and insist that it had been ordered. Absolutely the worst experience, considering that we elected mobile checkin!Robert G.
We were late by 40mins and got surcharged an extra $150. More money than another entire day of a rental. The manager of this location didn't even have the truck ready for pickup at 10am. As a result we were behind in picking up the truck. We registered everything beforehand and they were still late. We would have been on time if it wasn't for their complete lack of preparation.Christina M.

Fuel wasn't full and I returned it at the amount it was on my pickup. Still got charged $30 fuel fee!?! Outrageous! No one helped me when I returned it and said it was because of covid but never confirmed my fuel amount. The whole experience with U Haul was horrible. We booked a truck a month in advance and then were told the day before that there was no truck for us. I rebooked at a different location, called the location to confirm there being a truck. But two hours later U Haul dispatch called to tell me there wasn't a truck and the proceeded to tell me I could drive 40 minutes away to pick up a truck. Absolutely horrible service. Disorganized and unhelpful. I will never use U Haul again.Geoffrey M.

Drop off site had no enugh parking space and a staff was shouting in non english language. a second staff came in and allowed me to park the truck in another spot. the 2 staff kept talking to each other in a non english language and i couldnt understand what they are saying. Great location, very easy to book and inspect the vehicle online. This truck had pop spilled on the console and floor. Also seems to be having transmission problems and wouldn't shift into drive very well.Mike W.
I ordered 1 utility dolly but it didn't in the truck when picked up. After communicating, just give me an appliance one, which is not suitable for our boxes, and we couldn't use it at all. Besides, the truck wasn't been parked evenly. Hope to improve the service quality next time.WENWEN Z.

I am wondering why the credit card was charged an additional 45 cents when the uhaul was dropped off clean and with more gas than what was in it when it was picked up?? I the uhaul it states a $25.00 refund if dropped off clean.Elva S.
Nice people, but poorly trained. The young man who rented it to us was not trained at all, he had to call manager for required steps. I had to give my credit card verbally over an unsecure cell phone. If manager was not at store, they could not process my c/c through tap terminal. Manager handled return. Issues: Truck was not sanitized. I wiped steering wheel with Isoproponol, lots of dirt on paper towel. Left turn signal did not function. Tire pressure was low in 3 tires, I had to fill them. When I returned the unit, manager was not familiar with the "X" stickers on vehicle indicating prior damage. There was a small scrape with X sticker, he thought we did damage, showed him pictures & educated him about X stickers. On the positive side, the truck was easy to drive, including mountain passes. It was perfect size for job. Yes, I will continue to rent from U-Haul. Please retrain staff at store.Mike M.
