There was something mechanically wrong with the truck's transmission. There was a check engine light and a wrench light on the dashboard. I understand there was a recent snow but the parking lot and area where truck was located was not plowed or very easily accessible with a vehicle. Nobody was there to pick up the trailer. Had to call to get someone to come. They were out of town. Had to wait over two hours for someone to come so I could get trailer. It appears that the online agent from the day before did not verify the rental details with pickup location.RonaldP W.
Very friendly and helpful. However, my first reservation 89952981 was cancelled without my knowledge. I went to the place to pick it up and the owner told me it was cancelled and he didn't have the truck. I had to drive to Shelburn, Indiana, 45 minutes away to retrieve the truck I wanted. DO NOT move the drop points. Do not make your logistic problems your customers, and expect them to drive out of their way, and spend the extra gas to be your "delivery person". I understand you may be short on trucks because you more than likely had to liquid assets, but this isn't your customers problem. Lose sight of your customers and a bankruptcy is right behind.KENDALL C.

We reserved the loading help and it was confirmed. They did not show up which left us trying to find help at the last minute. I would not recommend using this service to anyone. I know we will never use it again. Very disappointed in this service.David W.
I wouldn't really call it a uhaul location. It was an old building with no signage. I had to go through a random door which was like a work shop to finally find a person to help me. He basically told me to go back the trailer next to others and he would be out to help. He forgot that I was there and after unhooking the chains and connections myself I had to go back inside to to get him and he came out and lifted the trailer off my hitch. He even mentioned that he didn't like when trailers got dropped off at his location. Honestly I don't think they even want to be a uhaul store! This might be this way in that it is a rural location but it was not a positive experienceâ€¦MARK L.

I had reserved a truck for pickup in Bloomington, which was where the house was that I was moving out of. Driving an hour and a half to Shelburn was not planned nor was it at all convenient. It delayed our move by 3 hours. I was fortunate to have a car and an extra driver to take me to pick up the truck. Otherwise I would have had to take an Uber or a taxi and that would have been costly.Bruce B.
Trailer was at another location. Had to wait 1.5 hours to get it to the right location. Drop-off was equally poor. Place we were told to take it refused it, said they had no room. Had to go to another location and then it took multiple phone calls and 2 days later to acknowledge that it was returned and get a receipt.TONY B.

My issues are primarily with this location and not with UHaul in general. I reserved the equipment to be picked up at 9am and even after getting UHaul involved the agent did not show up to the location until 945 and then went straight to the bathroom for several minutes. I was not able to leave until after 10am. Also while the agent was doing his paperwork he added an insurance coverage that I had specifically denied online adding to the cost of the rental. The extra charges were refunded and I was given a $50 refund for them being late but I will never rent equipment from this location again.Eric J.

Could not find keys. No information was given as to their location. Turns out they are on the opposite side of the building. The truck was obviously dirty on the inside. Looked like a dark beverage had been spilled all over the cup holders. I was charged 3 different charges and still have only received my money back for one of the two I was supposed to. I'm currently behind ignored by the regional manager about said over charge.Samantha S.

Do not rent from here. We reserved our truck in August.(8.12.19) Two days before pick up (10.11.19) we were contacted by two different people saying we needed to pick up our truck at two different locations. One being further away from where we needed to go. When we went to pick up the truck, a gentleman said he was going to make some changes to our reservation to help save us a little money. Upon changing our reservation, he didn't inform us of the changes he made, including our miles. At the time we did not know this. We didn't find this out until we dropped it off and couldn't finish closing our account because we had apparently went over our miles. We were also told told put down a hundred dollar deposit we were told we would get back. When dropping it off we were told that they couldn't finish our account because shelburn had to refund it. I called customer service and was them told that we never should have paid a deposit because we paid flat rate. We dropped our truck off around 8:30 this morning and still haven't been able to get a direct answer from anyone.Nicole B.

The place was pretty unorganized. The conputer crashed first thing. The truck had less than 1/4 tank of gas in it, (I have a picture of it before we even left the lot) The guy, Mike said he would be there until about 10PM, (a little disgusted by that fact) We returned at 3:45PM and the door was locked and he was no where to be found. We had to go next door to the fireworks stand and they had to send someone to find him. Finally 15-20 minutes later, he shows up. We return the truck and the final cost was almost $60 more than what was originally quoted to us. So , no. I dont think we will be recommending this place in the future. OH! And we only returned the truck with 1/4 tank gas since that is all you seemed to want to give us.amanda P.

the two dozenFurniture pads ordered and paid for were not provided. I was told that the or owner would call me and make resolution this never happened.the tie-down areas at the end of the truck to secure the load were busted not able to properly secure my load to prevent not having the furniture pads in the truck to cover 3 solid wood bedroom outfits coffee tables in tables and much more. We ended up having to go to a thrift store and pick up comforters and blankets to use in place of pads we did not receive costing us $100 extra to move.Thomas E.

I was ripped off. I trusted the guy reading the odometer and didn't check it myself with him. Actually he never asked or said he was doing it. Upon returning to facility I was told I had driven 90 miles that day. I actually drove 51 miles because I retraced my route with my car. Never trust them again! Plus I was charged for all of those miles even after I questioned it.Terri M.

U-Haul changed my pickup location to USA Powersports and Storage for pickup on a day when the location was not open. Upon arrival, a manager was on premise and attempted to assist me with getting my truck. Not only was the trucks odometer incorrectly listed on the pickup contract, the fuel was listed 7/8 full instead of 1/8 full. I did not notice these errors until on the road and it greatly complicated my return of the vehicle.hannah K.

The vehicle transport trailer worked out very well for me. I needed it first thing that morning and Shelburn happen to have just what I needed.brent W.
The inside of the cab was filthy. There was mud and trash all over the floor and a set of someone's personal keys was found in the door. My paperwork said that there was a 1/4 tank of gas, but when I started the truck it was dead empty and I had to drive to the nearest station before I could go home.Nathan W.
