I wanted a pickup truck but this location does not have them. I chose a van but due to my age and physical limitations, it was not as easy to load as I wanted.

The truck I rented smelled absolutely terrible, like a family of skunks had been living in it before I picked it up. The smell wasn't just unpleasant—it was so strong that everything I moved now carries that same odor. On top of that, the truck struggled to start almost every time. It sounded like the battery was on its last legs, and I spent the whole rental worrying it was going to die and somehow become my problem. I also paid for a dozen moving blankets that were never provided. Then there's the extra $90 I was charged to keep the truck one more day. Originally, I was told I couldn't extend my rental because "another family is depending on the truck." Fine. So I changed my plans and picked the truck up a day earlier on Friday instead of Saturday. When I later requested an extension, I was suddenly told I still couldn't because that same family now apparently needed it on Saturday instead of Sunday. That explanation makes absolutely no sense. It feels less like there was another family waiting and more like it was just an excuse to charge me another $90. Considering the condition of the truck, the overwhelming odor, the starting issues, and the missing moving blankets, I think a refund is more than justified. At the very least, refund the extra $90. I know a full refund probably isn't realistic with a company this size, but charging extra after giving contradictory explanations leaves a bad impression. I'm giving 2 stars only because the truck did manage to get my belongings from one place to another. The second star goes to the local rental location. The truck itself—and the overall experience—earned far less.

The pickup was fine, a little slow as they were pretty busy. I know what eu-haul desk is separate but there was a line for it and three staffers hanging in the hardware checkout. The u-haul had lots of scratches and dings - but was fine inside and ran like a clock. No issues.

I have worked with Wadeson's before, and the service was great. This time, the service was horrible. Had I not been on an important timeline, I would have walked out and canceled the reservation. The customer service rep was a complete arrogant asshole! I will never go there again for either U-Haul or for any other item. They have lost a customer, and you almost did as well! I would recommend, in clearer terms, somewhere on your website, that the customer must provide a hitch and the proper ball size. Either I missed this, or it is not clearly spelled out anywhere that I can remember. I understand that because the trailer may be a one-way trip, you can't provide a hitch and ball, but you need to make this clearer when renting, as well as the proper pin connector needed for the trailer. What started as a $40 rental turned into an additional $100 to buy a hitch and ball (I already have 2) and a pin connector to work with my truck. Complete an utter bullshit!

There was no way to take the trailer off my vehicle. I found a pipe and bricks and had to lift the trailer hitch off by truck using the pipe as a host. If it wasn't for my son with me, I would have never been able to do it alone. Why did the location explain to me what the procedure was? who knows.

Fix the electrical issues caused by the trailer coming off my vehicle that U-Haul hooked up. Don’t tell people one thing and then give away the trailer and stop making people drive all over the place with gas being as high as it is the trailer should have been brought to me rather than me having to go chase down another one because people are improperly trained or don’t care to do their job correctly. Also offer compension for damages occurred by u haul and maybe a full refund of the trailer for all the inconvenience caused

Didn't provide a hitch or mentioned i had to purchase, I had a 2 n 5/16 bal hitch but the trailer had a 2 inch receiver so 8 had to purchase before it closed i had no time to go back home and get my own 2 inch receiver, u haul should reimburse me for this unexpectedly charge

Make the process for pick up before/after hours more accessible. It seemed the phone location radius was so small that I had to pace around the parking lot to advance the app prompts. I was warned about this issue the day prior when I called to confirm the process. So this is a known issue that needs to be fixed. Took one hour to NOT get a truck, then only 30 seconds when the store opened. Again this is a Uhaul app issue not a store issue. It would be great to be able to check in from a local diner or home if within radius. The store issue was the lock used was ultimately broken and no lock codes worked. Customer service on the phone (Spoke with Danielle) was very patient and helpful. Additionally, the staff once on site were also patient and helpful.

Employees were very helpful and set my trailer up to my truck. I didn’t have to do a thing except back up to it. They made sure everything worked properly. When I returned it, I didn’t even have to go back in. They were outside to unhook it for me and sent me the receipt via email.

Have more compassionate sales people that’ll explain the process to someone who’s not experienced in renting equipment. I wasted over an hour and a half walking back-and-forth to my vehicle to get information when they could addressed it properly. The first time they did not help with the check-in did not help with the photo taking did not help with anything

Some training for the staff about how to plug in a gps or iPhone into the sound system would have been helpful. I finally realized that was an option. When I went to load my car into the transport, it suddenly stopped before the wheels passed the final bump with a warning “Obstacle detected.” I had no idea why or what to do about it. Had to back off again and research the cause, learned it was the emergency braking system and then had to figure out how to disable it. I realize all cars will be different, but since most modern cars have these sort of safety features, that might be something to share in the instructions for loading a car.
