Our reservation was lost in the system. Did not get the size truck we reserved. Was told by customer service woman, â€œthat's what you get for booking it onlineâ€ Before she could help us she had to go to the bank, so we could sit and wait 20 minutes or leave. It was a very unfriendly experience, we will not use their service again.Mark C.

What a joke, when the owner gave us back some money because of all the bs with their storage units and along with broken items from the person they made arrangements with to load and unload our uhaul, the lady running the uhaul office called my daughter a fat bitch! It seems like the check-in process for a reservation made nearly 3 weeks prior is pretty convoluted, resulting in very little paperwork to take with you, but also having to deal with a changed reservation fiasco that we'll actually be contacting U-Haul directly about. I don't know if that's their standard operating procedure or if it was because it was a long-haul one-way rental or what, but it was not a very ideal circumstance at all.Jeffrey C.

The staff at the pick up location were extremely unprofessional and letting me know that they used the U haul equipment for their own personal use when customers we're not using it. There was also no directions given to me on how to find or start my U-Haul. When I created my reservation to get my U-Haul at one of the three 15 minute away locations I was notified two days before my pick up date that I had to drive an hour away and would not be reimbursed for the gas. How could any company treat their customers this way and expect them to follow their tight timelines and go get a U-Haul that is an hour away is extremely inconsiderate and rude of a company.Roger M.

I will NOT use UHaul again nor recommend it to another person. However, that decision is NOT DUE TO THE PEOPLE WHO WORK AT THIS LOCATION. They couldn't have been more helpful! My decision is based on the UHaul corporation. I ordered a 20 foot truck a month ahead of time. There was a truck at this location several days before I was to pick it up. However, the corporate office decided to transfer it to someone else. They did offer a 15 foot truck with a trailer attached. The trailer was free but cost an additional amount for protection. With some phone calls I was able to get this eliminated. The people I spoke to acted as if it was no big deal that I was inconvenienced. When we went to load, we couldn't unhook the trailer. The people at this location were not open so I tried to talk to someone at the UHaul corporation. I was continually put on hold while she attempted to figure out directions to give me. I finally hung up because I didn't have the time to waste since we had a limited time to load. We had to load with the trailer attached, therefore, we were unable to use the ramp. My entertainment center got ruined trying to lift it into the truck. I want to say that the people at Walton's tried speaking to the corporate office prior to my arrival but nobody listened to them either.Deborah D.

Friendly, but under-stocked, only 7 moving blankets. Also, original "reserved" pickup location Canton called day prior of pickup at 3:30pm and said they wouldn't have truck, drove 20 miles out of the way to diff location. $50 spiff was nice but super inconvenient. Lastly, Massena (where I was) has a uhaul location but isn't open on Saturday or Sunday...really?William W.

Not sure if this size truck was supposed to have air conditioning but, if so, it did not work. It made the drive uncomfortable. While there were no specific issues with how the truck ran, the truck appears to be getting old and well used. The engine made a lot of noise. The personnel who work here are friendly and helpful.Deborah D.

This location was very helpful. I made my original reservation 2 months in advane to pick up at Canton, NY location. I received call 2 days prior to pick up telling me they did not have the equipment available and I would have to drive 40 minutes to Governeur. Was told I didn't have a "reservation" rather a "request" for equipment. Your website specifically says "Start a reservation". Very disappointed with Uhaul and will look at different vendors in the future.James E.

Attention to detail is missing. Drop off location chosen was different than paperwork. Had to call and change at destination. Though not set at this location, price to use trailer was over $900 for 5X12 trailer because it was one way from Northern NY!!! If I was going from NC to NY, it would have been just over $200. Disgusting that I have to pay for Uhaul inability to retrieve their own equipment!Suzanne B.
This was only my drop off location so no one was even there when I dropped my truck off. I took pictures of my truck and my odometer and gas meter. The following month $293.04 was charged to my credit card without my consent or knowledge from this location. When I called corporate to complain they were not at all apologetic nor did they offer to refund my card. I tried calling this locations phone number and their voicemail box is full so customers can't even call to complain.Christine C.

I only went no more than 78 miles and the lady tried to tell me i went 95 miles and charged me 35 dollars more ontop of the 166 i had to pay even though I was told it would be 88 dollars for my uhaul and then whate er my mileage was, i eneded up being charged 200.00 and when i tried to ask the lady to double check the mileage she tried to convince me that i did go the 95 miles, the truck sat the whole time but the day i drove it to my new place witch wasnt 95 miles away, im very unhappy with the service and how i wasn't treated like a valued customerbilliejo C.

Showed up to location of truck the lady had location of new home wrong , a complete diff town said that's what we entered online when ordering truck.... We didn't order truck online we called location directly.... Truck had several inches of snow and ice on windshield (location shld have had it cleaned off ready for use) it wasn't started to warm up.... The trailers that I used need to have jacks on them. Being a an elderly woman I had a hard time getting the trailer hooked back up, very heavy and bulkyDorothy W.
I paid for a u-haul and there was no straps or dolly or moving pad with the u-haul like they r sappose to be included so I had to rent them separate else where. I will call the district office to speak with someone because I had the uhaul for 30 hours and it took way longer to move than should have because the proper tools were not in the U-haul.
